We lucked onto this after we couldn't locate Mount View RV Park (which turned out to be off the main highway instead at the 1120 I-10 address shown on the website). The folks here were very nice and this was just a quick overnight for us. Very quiet park. Excellent drinking water. Easy on and off I-10 on the East end of Bowie. Would definitely stay again if we need an overnight in the area. This is not a scenic area so unless you are looking for extreme rest and relaxation it might not be the park for you. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Park is very soon after exit, but very quiet. The train is close, but does not make much of a racket there. No light pollution; the night sky is brilliant, and the mountain view is beautiful. The wi-fi is most excellent. A friendly place as people were flying model aircraft together in the evening. I had a pleasant cup of coffee in the morning, tanked up on gas and propane. Severe goathead infestation and inadequate trash disposal. Will return. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Great spot for one night if you are beat from driving. The wind had come up and we needed to stop. It is bare bones. The guy in the store was very friendly and helpful. Needed to send and receive a fax, and expected to have to drive, or hear: "No." But he helped us out. Would stay again in a pinch. We camped here in a Motorhome.

CG is a parking lot behind a gas station at the west end of town, Price reflects Passport America discount. Train tracks are right behind CG, and the trains do run through the night but the sirens are blasted about a mile away at the other end of town. Free Wi-Fi is excellent, Verizon and AT&T cellphones and satellite reception is fine. Sites are level gravel, and long enough to keep towed attached. There are no picnic tables or grills available. This is acceptable for a stopover, but you may want to use the ear plugs. We camped here in a Motorhome.

ADMIN UPDATE 2/13: It appears this park is closed. Off I-10, good for traveling. The sites are earthen and not all are full hookup They have music jams often. Would stay again. There are some long term folks here. We camped here in a Motorhome.

At 2:00 am: finding this RV park with 50 amps was a Godsend!! The woman working the front desk actually helped us pull in with her flashlight so we didn't disturb the other guests! Thanks for outstanding service and good night's sleep! We camped here in a Motorhome.
