Folks at check-in gate were friendly, as were the camp hosts. There is now a dump station at this park and all sites in the family campground have electric and water. I believe there are 40 sites within the family campground, but there is only one shower in the mens' room and only one shower in the women's room. There are three toilets in each. It appears that the park is in the process of being upgraded. There are a few sites that have asphalt, but most have gravel. Unfortunately, most of the sites aren't level. Access to the park and the campground is easy, but there are those Arizona dips along the way. There are lots of trails within the park/campground, so lots of places to walk pets, although you have to be watchful of the rattlesnakes and the cactus. There is also a children's play area, making it nice for families. We had to move our Verizon hot spot to different spots in the RV before we found the ideal place for it. It seemed we were just at the outskirts of the tower range. This is one of those parks that tends to have more folks on the weekends, being practically empty during the week. We would stay again if passing through the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Watch for the new gravel in the RV campsites. New services have just been installed and the ground is still pretty soft. But otherwise, this place is fabulous. We'd come back in a heartbeat, next time we have to come to Phoenix. We camped here in a Motorhome.

[Deferred Resubmission] of {Visited with our new motorhome after hearing that they now have power/water masts at every site. Friendly, informative gate keepers and camp hosts. Campground is right in the mix of area trails for hiking, mountain biking. Beautiful area close enough to the Phoenix metropolitan area to see it's cover of unhealthy smog while you breathe clean. Will definitely revisit.} Visited with our new motor home after hearing that they now have power/water masts at every site. Friendly, informative gate keepers and camp hosts. Campground is right in the mix of area trails for hiking, mountain biking. Beautiful area close enough to the Phoenix metropolitan area to see it's cover of unhealthy smog while you breathe the clean air of the Waddel mountains. Will definitely revisit. We camped here in a Motorhome.
