Nice newer RV Resort type park. Landscaped nicely, sites are mostly private owned and rented out for nightly or monthly. There are a few negatives despite the beauty of the place. First is the traffic that you have to fight to get to Ft. Myers Beach area, it takes from 15 minutes to one hour to go a half mile pending traffic issues over the bridge there. Then when you arrive at the beach there is very little parking spaces. While in the campground the sewer plant smell from the city plant across the street burns your eyes at times if the wind is blowing your direction. We stayed here in a motorhome and would probably stay elsewhere due to sewer smell. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Nice, well located RV park, with wide streets, good size (concrete pad) lots, some with very attractive landscaping. Since the lots are individually owned, there is some variation on landscaping and amenities. However, the $60 per night charge is standard. There is one dumpster for the park, and it is a long walk, or short drive to get to it. The location of the park, just off Summerlin Road, on the way to Fort Myers Beach is good, except it borders on a short cut to the beach (Pine Ridge Road), which is very heavily traveled, and quite noisy. Considering the other parks in the area, I rate this the nicest, as any closer to the beach and traffic is bumper to bumper, and others (Wilder, Woodsmoke, KOA) are too old, crowded and not very pleasant. This is like a smaller, less glamorous, better located Cypress Woods. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Lots are sold and most owners are on their lots for the winter months. Park is extremely clean, well kept and nice manicured sites. Rest rooms and laundry room very clean. Park has nice swimming pool, hot tub and tiki bar. Planned activies and Tuesday nights dinners were for $6 or $7 and very good. There is a sewage treatment plant just outside the park and when the wind blows in the right direction, that smell is carried over to the park. Another comment is the park is only 3 1/2 miles from the beaches but can take up to 90 minutes to get there. Also when you do get there, parking is very limited and expensive. The beaches are not public friendly. You have to be in a condo or apt on the beaches to be able to fully enjoy them. A river also dumps into the Gulf which made it very murky in January but started to clear by Feb. We will not return even though it is a nice park. We were there for January and February, 2006. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We have visited this campground for 4 years, it is a beautiful campground. However each year it seems the management changes the rules as far as availability. No loyalaty at this park, but the staff is very friendly. New park, so there will be shade as the trees mature. Their latest change, they have put their sites up for sale! from $50,000.00 to $95,000.00 each. And to top it off, they are going to become a Class A Motorhome park exclusively, beginning May, 2004. In my opinion, it is a shame, when RV Parks try to divide and separate us RV'ers. There is a lot of upset RV'ers here. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Very clean, good location. Seem to be many complaints about site specific reservations but they are new and hopefully addressing these issues. They are obviously doing something right as they stay full in January, February and most of March. Adjacent to a major hotel chain facility which is convenient for families and friends visiting those in the park. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

I would have gave this campground a rating of 8, however since they are getting busier, they are not interested in loyal, past RV'ers who have been with them from the start, rather they are interested in Seasonal Campers. They change their policy from year to year. No shade trees yet, but are growing, this is a newer park. Nice facilities, clean and well kept. Nice large concrete pads, and a Clubhouse with activities. A short drive or trolley ride to the beach. Restaurants and shopping within walking distance We have stayed 2000, 2001, and 2002 for 3 weeks each year. They would not let us make reservations 2003 unless we made reservations for the entire month of January or February. They do not seem to be loyal to the RV'ers who helped them grow, owners seemed only interested in those who can stay for the entire winter. We camped here in a camper.

This could be a great campground if they had the same rules for everyone. Last year we stayed for two months and were moved twice because someone had reserved the particular sites we were on. When we left we were told to pick out a few sites and they would be assigning the sites in August. So we left a $250.00 deposit in March when we left and looked forward to our assignment for this winter. After hearing nothing I e-mailed them and was told no specific lot assignments would be made. We felt this was very unfair and asked for our money back and will go to another campground for the winter. Many of the people there had been on the same site for many years, so I agree with the other person. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This park has a nice "Cheeseburgers in Paradise" feel. Its in two parts, the beach side is more pricey and to me seems worthwhile only if you're in the first row in front of the beach. The opposite side of the street is the park office and a little nicer looking park, but the spots are so tight I don't know how the larger units get in (I have a class B). If you stay in this section, ask if the guy is doing woodcarvings with his chainsaw. Apparently he's a regular fixture and while the carvings are nice the awful noise was a big negative for me. Otherwise a great place, and thanks to the reviewer who mentioned you can walk your dogs on this beach! A big big plus! We camped here in a Motorhome.

We camped 2 nights. The space was grass on a corner could not level first night new years eve they closed early. Never mentioned when we made reservation. I needed extra boards to level motorhome. Refridge would not work first night due to level. The rate was 54 dollars each night. Then the added the dog at 6.66 for 2 nights and electric at 17.96 for 2 nights.very tight space. Will not stay there again. Maintenance crew were very nice. Office help not as nice! We camped here in a Motorhome.

My first thought of this park was "Oh my God, what a dump!" The sites are close, very close, and it seems that each coach has a vehicle too, making it more congested. However, we were here for the gulf and that makes it worthwhile. The water view is exceptional and for that alone, I would stay again. We were beach side and no matter where you end up on this side, it is very close to the water. I would love to get first row next time. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Stayed at this campground July 10+11. The campground is a bit tight, and we had a large audience for our "squeeze in". That said, all hookups worked great, we fit in the backed in space and had a nice shade tree over our RV. Bathrooms were clean for a beach site (lots of sand, to be expected though). The key to this campground is location. If the sites were a bit deeper, it would be a 10 rating. Wow, still, even being 4 rows off the beach it was great. Best time of the day is 6 - 8P when the sun is heading down and lots of people enjoying the cooler temps and sunset. If you are interested in the beach, stay on the beach side vs. park side. And, if you can plan in advance, get the spots on the beach. Priceless! Bring all your beach toys, outdoor living rooms, etc no matter your spot. You won't regret it. Oh, btw, our price was high because we had 9 on our site. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a dog friendly beach. Dogs are allowed on the beach on leashes. We were there over the July 4th holiday. Police/Ranger presence on the beach on 4 wheeler. I did not see them take any action against anyone, just there as a presence, nice. The wi-fi is not free, it is an outside service. It is $5 a day or $29 month, no weekly rate. Spots close together, but park staff assisted us in navigating our rig into the space. The beach side was full, but we were close to the road on the park side, no noise. Park staff friendly, and roam the park keeping a watch. Our spot was great and had shade, L1/M1 (now one spot). One side of the park is long term park models and one for RVs. The walk to the beach was short and our wagon pulled easily on the sand. The cross walk has a signal, but the cars always stopped for us at we approached, nice and safe. This is a park well worthy of your visit. We would try to make our reservations earlier next time so we could have beach front. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This campsite offers a beautiful view of the ocean. The sites near the water are limited but worth calling in advance for a reservation. You are basically camping right on the beach and you step right onto the sandy beach from your camper. Great for the family! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Very clean park and the staff were very friendly. The view and the beach are the BEST. This is a one of a kind RV Park located on the Gulf. It is within walking distance to most of Ft Myers Beach. The people were friendly and we are already looking forward to going back in 2009 for a month. We camped here in a Motorhome.

A fun campground with many activities that are geared more for the above-50 crowd. Super location on Estero Blvd - only a bike ride from grocery shopping and the library. We had a site on the "park-side" which was a bit less expensive but there are beautiful sites DIRECTLY on the gulf. Kayaking is available in nearby Lovers Key. Great area with LOTS to do...but you pay the price for being in an area like this. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

The Red Coconuts is great for its location. The RVs are wedged in to the point of needing a shoehorn to get in and out but you are close to the beach. The restrooms are clean and plenty of them. The showers are always hot. The staff is helpful but not friendly. The island trolley runs every hour and only costs a quarter. The beach is fabulous and usually well groomed. Pets are welcome and there are plenty of things to do in the area. You certainly want to take the trolley because traffic moving on and off the island keep the road hosed up most of the day. If you cross the bridge onto the mainland there are seafood shops with ocean delights for sale. There is a farmers market under the bridge on Friday morning under the bridge. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

First the bad - sites are very close together making it very difficult to park. We were put right next to the restroom, and our slid-out went OVER the path to the laundry room. The park is right on the main road so the traffic is VERY loud during the night. The good part is it is centrally located so you can walk or bike anywhere in town. Also the park is right on the beach so beach access is very easy. If we stay at this park again we'll either splurge for the beach sites or go cheap with sites far from the road. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We were a little concerned after reading some of the previous posts so we were pleasantly surprised after arriving. We couldn't get a site on the ocean side but the site we have on the park side is larger and the park side is quieter. It is an easy walk to the beach. We love the convenience of the location and being able to ride our bikes to restaurants and shopping. We do plan to return here again for a longer stay and hope to get one of the ocean sites. The sunsets are beautiful. The office staff has been very helpful. WiFi works great, but it is a little pricey; $25.00 a week. We really enjoyed this part of our trip. We camped here in a Motorhome.

It's a beautiful place to stay on the beach. My dog could actually go on the beach and the beach was clean. So I assume all those people who took their dogs to the beach, respected it enough to clean up after their dog. The people were very nice... I wish we could have stayed longer. It would be a great place to go back to and stay awhile. You can also walk to restaurants and shops. One of the nicest RV parks we've ever stayed in. If I remember correctly, you could get wi-fi if you paid for it. I'm just not sure, but I think that's right. Many places are like that and I don't like that. All too many places say they have wi-fi, but they have very poor signal strength. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a nice campground right on the Gulf. If you want to be on the Gulf this is the place to be, the beach is beautiful. They have 4 rows on the "ocean side" and the remainder of the campground is "parkside". Row 4 on the ocean side is right on the road and can be noisy at times. All of the sites are kind of small but we did not go there for a large sight, we went there for the beach. If you want a large site I would recommend you stay elsewhere. The WiFi did not work at our spot, the signal was too weak. There is also a trolley service that runs along Estero Blvd that you can take to go shopping and eat. They have people that will help you back in your site that are very helpful. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We really enjoyed camping almost next to the beach. Unfortunately we were told our 45' motorhome was too big for the beach side. Instead we were stuck at the farthest end of the park, very near the dumpster which is emptied at 5:45 A.M.. Our site was tight just like all of them in the park. You are supposed to park your car on your site, but we could not really fit our car on our site due to the odd shape of the site. They do have a LOT of rules! The staff was reasonably helpful, but they are up and at it very early. There are a lot of permanent trailers here, with full time residents. One of the rules is that you must keep your site neat, no extra stuff outside, but many people do not abide by that and have all manor of stuff outside. We really liked the location (Gulf). Guess that is what the draw is. They do have WIFI, but you have to buy it, which we did as we were there for a week, it cost $25.00. And when they say they have pull-thrus, they are not very long. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Nice campground, but the bottom line , is is just to cramped. Bathrooms: old and not in the best shape, in major need of remodeling. Shower stalls were extremely small. Water flow so low it was difficult to even get the shampoo out of your hair. The campground could also use a swimming pool , I know the main attraction is the ocean , but a pool would have been nice. The staff was very helpful, friendly and polite. Most of the negatives about this campground are things they have no control over, like traffic , excessive street noise. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The RC is one of those love/hate sort of places. You've gotta love the beaches and sunsets. Hate the tiny, crowded campsites. The staff is attentive and helpful. Did I mention the crowded campsites..? We will return.. Hooked on the gulf, I guess. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

First, gulf side sites are very narrow and they need to decrease the number to allow bigger rigs in there. We stayed on the other side. The reason I gave it a 5 was : site was full of trash, dog poop and cigarette butts, as were many other empty sites. Obviously no cleanup occurs after someone leaves. Club house A/C was so noisy it kept us up and when informed about it, yea well you get the idea. 3 maintenance staff running around on golf carts, doing something, but sure not cleaning up. Never said 'hi' or 'how are things' or anything. Office staff was nice though. Dogs not allowed on beach but several campers took theirs out and into water. A couple did their duty and their owners just left it. All in all it was OK but would not stay there again. It is unfortunate because this campground is the only one on the beach and they could be a really fabulous campground - instead they seem to just take your money and not care about upkeep, etc. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is my all time favorite, were else can you head in your motor home and be a 100 feet of sugar white sand away from the gulf of mexico. We spent our honeymoon there. It is close to Sanibel and Captiva Islands. We stayed every evening to watch the sunset, truly amazing. We camped here in a camper.

This RV park is also a place for permanents but the sites on the beach are great. They aren't very big and they have to help the big rigs get in but it is nice to be camped right on the beach. We were there for Thanksgivings weekend and had a wonderful time. We camped here in a camper.

What a Dump!!! I felt like I was camping in a parking lot. Our picnic table had a truck from our neighbor practically touching it. The view was nice if you could see past the huge rigs parked diagonal on the water side. Nothing at the store, nothing for the kids, a huge traffic jam just to get out of the place. The trolley was always full. We were supposed to stay 6 nights, we left after 1 day. It was only about 1/2 acre big no room for bike riding or anything. Fishing, what a joke. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is not the place to go if you want rustic camping. It is right on a main highway and the sites are very close together. On the plus side, the campground is right on the water. Our site had water on two sides and lovely views. The rest rooms and showers are old in design, but were very clean. There are a number of washers and dryers, I assume because of the large number of snowbirds who stay here in the winter. The sites are all grass and have a nice concrete patio. It would be nice if they were gravel, since they can get a bit muddy when it rains. The people who run the place are very nice and helpful. There are a lot of boat slips and I would guess in the winter they are full. There is fishing right at the park and easy access to the gulf. Another nice feature is that the trolley stops right outside the park and so for 25 cents you can ride to the beach or to the nearby shopping centers. You can even carry your bike on the bus. There is a pool and hot tub at the campground, but it was too cold when were here to try them out. Be aware that if you have a big rig, parking might be tricky in prime season. We had no problem, but the place was almost empty. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I spent a weekend here with a 30' trailer. Wide lot 15' from the ocean. The regulars and staff were very friendly. The bathrooms did not look to impressive. I fished from my front door and caught a large amount of fish! There are alot of restaurants nearby. I would definitely recommend this park! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This park has a combination of strengths and weaknesses that makes it hard to give a numerical rating. On the positive side the location is terrific, right on the road leading to the Fort Myers Beaches. Sanibel Island is also very easy to visit from this park. The park is right on the water, so there are pelicans and other birds to see here. The people staying here were mostly seasonal, very friendly, and largely over 70. The free Wi-Fi worked very well. On the negative side, the sites are extremely close together and really difficult to get into. The whole place is claustrophobic. Some of the waterfront sites are a little bigger, but some sites are like being parked by the side of the road. I don't think we would stay there again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

What a dump! The smell of fish can be smelled all over the campground! The campsites along the water are so small that our tent trailer barely fit on them! If you have a large RV, find another place to stay. The seasonal residents who are there are very unfriendly. They do not even wave to you when you walk by them. $55 dollars per night is a rip off! They do not allow campfires. It is against Lee county law! We will never come back to this place! We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

This is a very nice park for the price. The spots are extremely small and hard to get into so I wouldn't recommend staying here for less than a week. We stayed here in a 30' Class C and I seriously wondered if we could make the turn at the far end of the campground. Two people had to move thier cars so we had room to maneuver into our spot. I noticed later that some people had a park employee pull their rigs in for them. Once in your spot, however, the park is friendly, quiet, and beautiful. The WiFi works very well (they have five separate WiFi networks for a relatively small park). The bathrooms are clean and adequate although they seem not to be heated at all. The park essentially takes up all of a small island just across the bridge from Fort Myers Beach. There's a free trolley the runs up and down Fort Myers Beach and stops very close to the RV park. There are a number of good restaurants within walking distance of the park and many more via the trolley. I would definitely stay at this park again although they really should offer cable, at least as an extra, since the TV reception is so bad and heating the bathrooms would make showering a lot more pleasant in January. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Most sites are waterfront and backup to Estero Bay. Beautiful views from almost all sites. Some sites are small, so call ahead if you have a big rig. Appears that they are making improvements throughout campground. All sites have concrete patio with picnic table. Roads were in bad shape with many potholes. Can walk to restaurants and the beach is only 1 mile away. It's a nice walk or bike ride especially since traffic gets very heavy going to the beach. Some sites are close to the road, but our site was far from the road and very quiet. Also, they offer free WiFi and boat ramp. We camped here in a Motorhome.

While this CG has very small sites, we had a very pleasant stay. We were there in late July however, so the place was nearly empty and the fact that our site was small didn't effect us. I can imagine that it would be very crowded if it were full. Our neighbors hook-up (elec., water and sewer) was barely 8 ft. from our front door - I'm glad no-one was in that site! The campground is very close to Estero Island and it's many resturaunts. It's also a very short drive to Sanibel and Captiva Islands. In all, we enjoyed our stay. The "6" rating is because of the very small sites - not much room to 'stretch out'. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
