Nice well kept park with large sites. Staff for the most part is friendly ,but a couple act like they are doing you a favor. They lost/misplaced my mail for two days and kept saying if it is not in your slot you did not get any thus making the rating lower than I was originally going to give. Another couple had a phone call, and the desk said the people were not there. Stayed there for 1 month 3/17-4/16 2008. Cell phone is iffy and so is an air card. Passport America was used. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice clean park. Very quiet. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Fishing tournaments on weekends, with weigh-ins very interesting. On a channel between Lakes Kissimmee and Hatchinea. Great Crappie (Speck) and Bass fishing. Sites are paver stones and very level. I would definitely come back. Cell phones and internet air card worked fine. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Nice park, if you are a fisherman this is the place to be. Seventeen miles to nearest town (Lake Wales). Some park models ,but overall a nice park. We camped here in a fifth wheel. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

The owner that checked us in was friendly, and her husband led us to our site in a golf cart. The interior roads are asphalt but very narrow. Sites are grass with concrete patios. There a a lot of park models and permanent trailers here for the winter snowbirds. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed at this park during the months of January, February and March, 2006. The owners, staff and residents of this 55+ community are friendly and helpful. The park has undergone extensive renovation and, while we were there, they were adding additional sites along a tributary at the rear of the park. There were activities daily during our stay and this area provides easy access to both the Gulf and Atlantic attractions. I would certainly recommend this park as a winter destination. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We have stayed in Lakeland for the past 16 years. Being from Canada, we have a tendency not to change our habits. After reading a former review about Camp'n Aire, and after arriving in Lakeland in November, we decided to drive down to Lake Wales and have a look at this park. We fully expected to see a park that was demolished by the hurricanes. What we found was a park that looked like it had been spared completly. We had a very pleasant meeting with the owners, and found that, after looking at the pictures of the park after the storms, we were amazed they were even open. 148 trees broken, uprooted and gone. Still there was very little evidence of damage, sure if you looked closely, a few streets were damaged but he said that was the next big project after the season was over. This couple has worked themselves to death getting this place ready for this season and our hats are off to them. They have done an excellent job and the place is beautiful with a lot more palm and citrus trees, sod, street repair and a newly renovated clubhouse in the future, this summer. We had already decided to get a site for the rest of this season but all of the sites were already reserved. We can see why, so we reserved our site for 2005-2006 season. Thank you for the review you posted, it led us to this park. We will camp in 2005 in a 2003 Prevost. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a good park for fishing and hiking. Also can do a good ten mile bike ride if you ride all the roads. If you like nature this is a good place to see it but is more like a petting zoo with people feeding the deer and sand cranes. Which I am not for as it is not good for the animals. Bald Eagles, Deer,Sand Cranes, Otters,Wild Hogs, are some of the wild life you may see. First the good is that all the staff are very good and friendly. Rest rooms are older but were very clean and in good repair. No heat or air as most of the older parks but very usable unless like us were there when it was close to 25 F Burr. Most of the camp sights were private. Now the not so good. Take what you need as it is about 14 miles to a Super Wall-Mart. That is the closest food store. There is no store of any kind in the park. There is one about 3-1/2 miles for things like bread and milk. If you go to town to eat stay away from Perkins on 60. It took us one hour to get food that was not up to fast food taste. Most of the camp sights are under trees and need to look for dead wood hanging over your RV that can come down in a good wind. Some sights are a lot better than others. We will camp here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Site #44. Site was large and shady with a sand and leaf base. 2 loops both with about 30 sites. Each has a bathhouse in center with a washer and dryer. Each site has picnic table and a combo fire ring/grill. Firewood needs to be brought in or purchased outside of park. Easy access dump station. Entire park has live oaks with a good canopy, great for climbing too. Day area has playground, observation tower has closed for renovation. There is a marina with boat ramp and boat slips. No air boats in park. No swimming because of giant gators. Pets allowed on leashes. Park has a cowboy camp during cooler months on weekends. Several hiking trails from .5 mi to 6.7 mi. Bikes allowed on trails. We did not have cell service in park (ATT) but did get good TV reception. Wildlife seen by us was turkeys, Sandhill cranes, birds, large gator, and deer. This was the first visit here for us that we saw the least amount of wildlife in park. Park ranger on duty when we checked in seemed a little flighty. She could not hold a conversation and do a task at the same time, therefore check in took longer than needed, especially when site was already paid for and paperwork was printed up. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This campground was awesome. There were plenty of wildlife to view including deer, turkey, raccoons and armadillos. The showers were clean and in good repair. The staff were very helpful and the campground was very well kept. We loved this campground and will definitely come back time and time again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Camped in 45 footer. Has easy access on west side of US27, a few miles south of Lake Wales. Interior roads are narrow, curvy, but paved. With a big rig the interior roads are doable, but be careful. If towing a car, we suggest to unhook at the entry drive. Be very careful as you approach the office. We were led to our site by the brand new owner: purchased campground last week. He assisted us in getting to and onto our site. Sites are grass/sand with a concrete pad. Our site was a pull-through: site C. Site had small picnic table with no benches. Park has an enclosed, heated pool and shuffle board. Most sites were occupied by seasonal guests with a mixture of trailers, park models, 5th wheels, and RVs. New park owners were very friendly. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a nice and convenient park. I have 2 dogs and was not charged extra for them. No cable hookup, always a surprise at a park near a sizable town. Dog area near entrance but plenty of dog walking area all around the park. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Located right on highway US 27 in Lake Wales makes this an easy overnight park. Easy in and out. We have stayed here a couple times and will go back. The pool is big and nice, but even though many parks boast "heated" it seems that only means from October through April. This indoor pool was still very cool in July. They do charge extra for pets. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Resort? Ha ha ha. This is an old fish camp turned RV park. Many permanent residents and old shabby RV's. This place is remote, hard to find, and extremely hard to move a big rig around in with speed bumps and RV's nearly (side to side) touching. The guy parking us actually had us bump into a pole leaving paint on our fender. We had originally gone there to work and left the next day after being told we had to work 30 hours for FHU. The nicest resorts in AZ only require 28 hours for FHU. Most very nice RV resorts only require only 21 hours per week, and we felt that staying would only be feeding this guy's illusions and greed. No internet or cell service. Alligators in the lake...creepy. The owner has 2 other "resorts" nearby. Would not consider going to them after this place. The people near us were friendly. Some people that worked there even told us they "hated" their boss, and to be glad we didn't stay. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We would not recommend this park to overnighters. The roads are very narrow. The sites are unbelievably small. They charge extra for electricity, cable, WiFi. They charge by the day not by the nights you are there. Because nothing was as it had been presented on the phone we decided to stay only one night and not a full week. They refused to give us a refund for the remaining days even though nowhere is it stated that they do not give refunds. Personnel were very rude. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We visited here in January 2009. We had booked for 2 months, however, we will leave after two weeks. To say that Harbor RV & Marina‘s ads are misleading is an understatement. The spacious lots are barely enough for the RV much less a car or boat. The roads are so narrow (small one lane) and contain so many speed bumps that they are ridiculous. We stayed in a Park Model and the only way we could park the vehicle is for maintenance to remove the awning on the park model (now that is tight). The proclaimed marina also has issues such as NO place to park a boat trailer after launching other than the back storage lot which is a rat hole with old trailers, rvs, and junk everywhere and no good way to even get the boats in and out of the lot. They also charge $10 month to charge your batteries, if you are lucky enough to get a spot near a outlet. Maintenance is another issue. When the heat did not work, no attempt was made to repair it, we were just given a little portable heater and told that we could have another one if needed. The resort is pet friendly and the guests are great. The pool is tiny and the lake (Lake Rosalie) is far from loaded with bass. We camped here in a Campground Cabin.
