Resort is a word I would not use to describe this campground. All sites were packed tightly together and we were parked amid permanent seasonal homes. We stayed for six days and when we arrived on Sunday afternoon, no one was in the office. A passerby informed us to check the mailbox and we did find our information packet. Luckily, a maintenance person happened by as we were approaching our site because a neighbor had parked their truck in our site. We have a small Maltese dog who was pure white when we arrived and dark gray when we left. Another dog owner informed us that it was useless to bathe the dog because an hour after washing his dog it was gray again. We would not stay at this campground again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I was here Jan. & Feb. as I got a decent rate for the two months, which had to be prepaid in full. The previous '09 reviews reflect my opinion of the place. 30+ years old, narrow roads, cramped sites, marginal maintainance, no trash pickup, hands-off management doing just enough to get by. There are some very undesirable sites next to the dumpsters and the railroad tracks. On the plus side the pool area is newer and quite nice. There are plenty of planned activities that will appeal to most people. All rec areas are heavily used. The front office staff was friendly and helpful the few times I had dealings with them. WiFi was available via Tengo, but I had a dismal connection where I was. This park is very, very popular with Canadians, especially Quebecers, so not speaking French can be a definite handicap to socializing. All in all, a below-average park. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We camped here on a special weekly rate obtained through Camping World. We mentioned this rate to some of the regular campers and they became quite upset as they were paying 900/month plus their electricity. Their site wasn't much better than our site. The park has a 3.00 per day park fee. Not sure what this is for except to generate revenue. The park wants all spaces filled and will do anything to reach that goal. General observation of the park is that it's all about money for the park - not service to the campers. Their sites are really crowded and not well maintained. We had no problem with people cutting through our space as our rig and tow vehicle covered all of the space provided. The park is half park models with a few permanent trashy trailers They have one set of dumpsters and it's a bit of a hike to reach them. Ditto for the dog walk area - a 10 minute walk from our site and we were in the middle of the park. Maneuvering to our site was like skiing a down hill ski run - verrrrrrry narrow roads and this coupled with camper vehicles parked everywhere made for a very slow go to our site. They have a nice pool area,horse shoe pits, lots of shuffleboard courts, 2 tennis, 14 washers & 14 driers ( 1.25 for a wash, 1.00 for a dry ) and a large rec area. They have planned activities but you best be there well in advance to get your name on a sign up sheet otherwise the event will fill up. The office staff was friendly and helpful but the general concensus by the campers is that the manager isn't much of a hands on, get out and see what's happening so the park will continue to be just a tired old park that is now run by Encore. The night we arrived it looked like their public restrooms/showers had never been cleaned. We did not stay the full week and we would probably never return. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed in this park for a week. We would not return. The sites are not laid out very well. They tried to put us on a small site with many trees and we are in a 40 foot motorhome! Needless to say we had it changed. Campers are constantly walking thru sites. The upkeep on the sites could be much better. There just seems to be a sense of disorganization and not caring about the property. It was not a pleasant experience. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We will not return to this campground, Campground staff not very friendly. When we arrived on Sunday found office closed for weekend. Staff arrived a short time later only because a group from Canada was arriving.The information given by staff was not helpful had to return to office on Monday to ask many questions about what was going on in CG. Other campers and staff always walking though campsite . We camped here in a Motorhome.

This park is managed by Encore/Equity Lifestyles who have a partnership with Thousand Trails. The rate we paid was through an off-season agreement ELS has with TT. Normal rate is 40.00 a night. This is a nice park with a designated area for RV'rs. Sites are grass with concrete patios. There is a pool/spa and clubhouse. There are several grocery stores and other shops in close proximity and Hwy 75 is only 2 miles away. During the off season the office is only open limited hours during the week so if you arrive on the weekend or after hours you are on your own in finding a spot - it was a bit of a challenge for us as they don't leave maps out. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

It is clean and the staff is pleasant. They are not pet friendly and make it very difficult to take your dogs out for their walks. You must drive them off site to walk them along Highway 41 and are not allowed to walk anywhere within the park property. As pet owners, we would not stay here again due to the inconvenience in having to chauffeur our dogs to their 'rest area". We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a really great +55 destination type resort. We stayed here for 9 nights prior to Christmas, but didn't observe any nightly campers coming or going. Most RV sites are reserved well in advance for the winter season. The resort is extremely well maintained and has RV's and Park models dispersed throughout. The cable and WiFi signal was good where we were located (site N3) by the recreation bldg. The laundry facility was large and well maintained. The staff and resident RV'ers were very friendly and helpful. Lots of organized activities. I would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall, a nice park. We stayed 10 days in season and it was very quiet. Location is convenient to the interstate and local shopping. Lots of maintenance people always picking up garbage, recycling and watching the activity in the park. Only downside was I thought it was a bit overpriced for not having cable TV. Our antenna did pick up the local channels though. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Nice place for overnight visit. Close to interstate. Paid $35/night for full hook-up pull through. Excellent Wi-Fi, no cable TV but good antenna pick-up. Well maintained, clean facility. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for the month of October at $550. Not sure what their daily rate is. We loved this place. So friendly and the staff is outstanding. They were building more new tiled shower/bath facilities while we were here, that were 95% complete and are beautiful. The place is very shady. The only drawback is the because of all the trees, the squirrels where always shaking little acorns loose from the trees. Minor detail. The place is very clean. The staff is continually driving around and picking up trash and recycle bins. This is not a "just for seniors" place, so on Halloween there were families there with their kids having a great time. By and large this is a quiet place during the school year, which is the time that we are here anyway. We love this place. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This RV park is an absolute gem, beautifully maintained, very nice laundry facilities with plenty of up to date washers and dryers. The rec room is small but nice, pool table (free), weight exercise equipment, nicely maintained pool. The only down side so far (we just arrived), but many of the sites are freshly graveled. When we arrived we got a tour of which sites were available (the sites are long), BUT the weight of our triple axle created a pretty good rut in the fresh gravel pad, and the linx levelers mashed into the rock pretty bad, had to add more (not a huge problem and will correct with time). The sites are long, space between them, electric is great, as is water and new sewer hookups, Wi-Fi more than adequate, not sure when the park if full. Other down side is the shower house is immaculate, BUT still under construction. Currently there is one shower bath facility marked women/men. Iit has 2 stalls and showers; if you want privacy lock the door. If not, you might find yourself in a coed shower room, BUT 4 new individual bathrooms are built and being tiled at this time. The shower/bath is immaculate, all tile top to bottom throughout, with ceiling fans, and good exhaust. One stall contains a shower AND rain shower overhead, very very nice facility. Managers and workers are beyond friendly and helpful, park is beautifully maintained, this one is a winner from start to finish. Would definitely return or even make this a winter home for months. The rate reflects an off season monthly rate. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a great park. Was here a few years back and was not impressed. New owners have taken over and given the park a complete make over with many new sites added. This is one of the nicest parks I have ever stated at. The park has very fast Wi-Fi through out the park. The site we stayed on was very long. All sites have cement pads next to the RV with crushed shell drives. Very clean and friendly. We stayed 10 days and will return. We stayed in an easy back in site. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

The office staff and grounds staff were great, friendly and accommodating. Our dogs were able to get off leash exercise (designated area) and on leash walks on the trail in back of the campground. We loved the trees and shade they provided and it was so refreshing to have trees actually in the campground! It was lit well enough to feel safe and not so much to feel like a parking lot. At the time cable was not available throughout the whole park. There were many planned activities. Beach was approximate 40 minutes drive. We met so many terrific fellow campers and I'm sure it was because of the beautiful ambiance of this campground. We enjoyed our 2 months and will be back. Nightly rate is approximate, we were there on monthly rate plus electric. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We have stayed at quite a few CG's in SW Florida, but find Seminole to be a refreshing and somewhat unique place. Approx 90% of the sites are beautifully shaded by magnificent Florida Oak trees that have been nicely groomed to allow RV clearance. You get the "old Florida" feel, nestled among the oaks, palms and other natural flora. We find this a treat in contrast to most parks which are wide open barren pads. The (recently new) owner is doing a professional job making this a 1st class place to stay and unwind. Long pull thru and back in sites easily accommodate larger rigs and provide extra space for the toad, etc. The electric pedestals are new, the water and plumbing all look new and the lighting at night is especially well done. The pool, restrooms and laundry facilities are clean and in excellent shape. There is a game room and recreation hall. Also, there is a large area in the back of the CG to walk the dogs and let them run. The staff was overly helpful and very accommodating. We enjoyed our 1st stay so much, we returned 2 weeks later for another 3 nights. I expect this CG will be very busy once the word gets out. It would make an excellent location for a rally (off season), given it's layout, amenities and proximity to SW Florida attractions. We'll be visiting again soon. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Great stay-will be wintering next year and wanted to spend a night to make sure we made the right call. The owner is doing very good things with this RV park. It is a work in progress but they have done a great job to date. Would prefer wider sites (perhaps another 10') but length is great. Internet good, abundant shade, roads well laid out, staff second to none when it comes to customer service. A sign to indicate where to sign in would be helpful. Night time lighting exemplary. Direct TV easy to use on east side of grounds. Great meal at the Alva Diner 12 miles to the east. Many other restaurants nearby. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed two weeks and paid a weekly rate. Got better rate the second week. Owner VERY friendly and helpful. I understand this place was a dump before, but NOT now. I would come back to this place. 99% of sites are easy to get into. We had a back in site. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We have been staying in this area for 12 years, this is the absolute best year ever. We will be back next year for sure. The park is a work in progress right now, but by fall it will be the prettiest park in this part of Florida. Lots of trees but if you want sun that is available also. I don't know where the Jan 2010 review came from. We are currently staying here and it is lovely. It is very clean and neat. It must have recently been renovated because the electric, water and sewer are all in excellent condition. The pads are long and new. There are no 'junky' trailers here at all. There are some year round trailers but they are in good repair and the area is neat surrounding them. I think most visitors will be pleasantly surprised with the cleanliness of the restrooms, laundry and other buildings and the pool. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

I have stayed here a few times. I have friends that live here. I personally would not live here year round, but I may pop in from time to time. If you are looking for just a place for over night, it is okay. Personally, I think that it is highly priced for it's location. The up side to this park: lots of shade trees. If they come down on their prices, I would stay here more often. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This campground was the biggest disappoinment I have ever seen. I found them on the internet and saw an earlier review of them on this site saying they were wonderful. I checked their website and thought it was really nice. I have a feeling the owners themselves wrote the review. This place is best described as a dump. Many year round trailers in all states of disrepair and much neglect. I wouldn't stay in this campground even if it were free! Absolutely disgusting! WE DID NOT STAY here after driving in to see the campground. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Seminole Campground turned out to be a hidden jewel. It had everything we were looking for, located just off of interstate 75 in North Ft. Myers it was so convenient to everything in Southwest Florida, Beaches, great shopping and terrific natural sites like Lovers Key State Park and Cayo Costa. The sites were clean and the entire campground was draped in a canopy of old live oaks providing both shade and old Florida elegance. The kids enjoyed the pool and nature walks around the stream. The world famous shell factory was just around the corner and we could not believe how terrific it was! The folks who ran the park were courteous and helpful, it was great to be in the middle of it all but feel so far away. Best of all it was just a short hop to the beaches of Naples, Sanibel and Ft. Myers. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Although we were a little shocked about the price rate at first this campground offers a good value for that money. The staff couldn't be more friendly and guided us to our site. The sites are really spacey and level, not much trees around. They made sure that we got everything we needed. Wi-fi wasn't available but you can hook up to a telephone line in the library. The restrooms and showers were outstanding. We had a nice breakfast in the morning. We would definitely stay here again We camped here in a Motorhome.

Seems to be very good value for the price. It is not fancy but is clean, has good utilities, decent size sites, and is close to everything around Fort Myers, with easy access. It is Tamiami Village member owned which is adjacent. The staff is very friendly. I will add this park to my favorite list. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Although it allows pets, there is no adequate place to walk them. You actually have to go outside the entrance to an open field. You must walk pets on paved access roads. Sites are very short. I have a 45 that barely fit. Excellent hookups, but sites are also narrow, as well as short. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stopped here for a one night layover and ended up staying 5 days due to a truck problem. We arrived on a Saturday afternoon with no reservation and upon arrival learned that they work on the honor system when the office is closed. The office was closed when we arrived so we called the phone number listed on the door. The maintenance man came up and gave us instructions on what we needed to do and gave us pointers as to what section we should park in. The park itself lacks eye candy and the bulk of the permanent units are somewhat run down, but the maintenance of the park is kept up. The bushes are trimmed and the grass is cut. The pool area, bathrooms, and laundry area is clean. There is trash pickup every morning. You just leave your bags on the curb at 8am and they will get them. The Wi-Fi is at an additional cost (minimal) and works well. You can actually sign up for it on line, you do not need to set it up through the office. Office staff was very friendly. At this time of the year (April, May) the park is pretty empty so we had a wide selection of sites. The ground is very sandy, so make sure you have decent blocking for under your jacks. There are nice concrete pads for your patio however. Overall, we are pleased with the park and would gladly stay here again. Far enough out to be quiet, yet close enough to anything you could need. Tamiami RV Park is located directly across Hwy. 41 from the Shell Factory in North Fort Myers. It is a older RV park with about 30% being seasonal. They raise their rates substantially during the winter months. During this time campers are packed in like cord wood. Park staff is very friendly and helpful. We booked a campsite for the month of April and paid in advance. At this time the park was basically empty. After the first week something came up that we were forced to leave for home. I went to the office and asked if we could have a refund of our unused camping. The park manager told me that he would give me our money back minus $100. We expressed our displeasure to this but we had no choice but to accept his offer. We had to get back home. I could agree with this if the park was full and they would have lost money with our leaving but seeing the park was almost empty I felt the manager was just greedy in keeping that $100. Other then this the park is well taken care of and close to Fort Myers and all its tourist attractions. I would recommend this park but only during the off-season. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for 2 months, one when it was full in the high season, and a month later when it was nearly empty. While it was obviously more enjoyable when almost empty, every RV park in the area is full in Jan/Feb. The amenities were very clean and the pool was warm. Very friendly and accommodating staff. The portables where the computers were are dated and small, but the recreation hall was spacious and clean. The RV park had very few permanent trailers left and the sites were very well kept with concrete patios and grass. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

There are three sections to this campground; regular, canal, and super sites. The canal sites are primarily seasonal park models. Regular sites are short and have either grass sites (parking on grass) with a concrete patio or full concrete parking with integral patio. Super sites have long concrete parking and patio. An RV storage area, maintenance shed, and overflow parking are between regular and super sites. Regular sites would be rated a 6 while the super sites a 9 rating. Overall I gave the park an 8 rating due to the general appearance of the campground, responsiveness management to infrastructure issues , lack of landscaping, and the marginal internet network. Early in our month stay the internet Wi-Fi (at our site) worked very little. New Wi-Fi antenna improved the internet access. All activities at the park are coordinated and funded by a residents' association through small fees or raffles. Residents staying at the park are very friendly and welcoming. As previously mentioned by other reviewers the campground is convenient to most points of interest. Rate does not include cost for electric & water. We will likely return. A lot of permanent residents, like you find in any Florida Park, everybody was very friendly. The staff upon check in was very friendly and helpful, the site was a little tight getting into and out, but once parked it was very comfortable, plenty of room for slides. We spent a week here and it was very enjoyable. We camped here in a Motorhome.

There was a mix up in the reservation so they upgraded to one of their "Super Sites" for the same price as their "Premium" pull through. We originally signed up for 2 weeks but ended up staying 4 weeks. The campground is extremely clean and the staff is super friendly. There are lots of activities for retired folks. My only problem is with the Wi-Fi which is useless as we couldn't stay on for more than a couple minutes before getting dropped, which is the same problem as last year. We will stay here again next March. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Internet service was poor, terrible time getting on then very slow then service would be dropped. Many long term folks there with lots of activities if you stay long enough. Very nice church services. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The best thing about this campground is the huge pull-through sites. Each pull-through is probably 80 feet or more in length. Plenty of room between sites. CATV worked well with approximately 60 channels. Wi-Fi was very, very slow and dropped us a couple of times. Campground office does not have any supplies for sale. No shade trees. When we stayed there were only a few RVs in the campground. Snowbirds had all gone home. Easy access off of I-75, and the entrance into campground is very well marked. Streets and pads are paved with plenty of room to negotiate. Good campground for a few days as you travel. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

While this park welcomes winter visitors, we were here just for 2 nights. Residents and staff were pleasant and helpful. The sites were great with mature trees, and everything on the campus was sparkly clean. Walking our dog was a pleasure. We would definitely consider staying here again. We stayed in this park a few weeks ago and had a very pleasant stay there. They have super sites which suited our big rig perfectly. The staff was very accommodating to our needs to stay longer than we had planned. The park was immaculate and had a large area to walk our two Wheatens. Our neighbors were very friendly and made us feel very welcome. We will most definitely stay at this park again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Stayed on site # 353, which is classified as a long, pull through, super site. Site was paved with large paved patio. The interior roads were also paved. Good space between sites. Minimal trees to obstruct access to sites and satellite TV. The office staff was friendly and helpful. We were escorted to our site. Tourist attractions of nearby Pine Island, Cape Coral, and Fort Myers. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Reservations made 1 year in advance, with sites confirmed in writing. Three coaches traveling together, none were in confirmed locations; with one by dumpsters and ditch. After speaking with others in park, they faced the same problems. It's my opinion that some of the practices could border on fraud or exploitation. Most are older folks tired of the battles and accept what they get. Also, a coach running a shade business was parked next to us, pulling out machine and sewing in the late afternoons within 10-12' from our pad, with no foliage or barrier of any kind. This tended to ruin happy hour. One cottage owner also brought his large dog to the coach area to do his business and did not clean up after him. The only positive was that the people within the park were friendly. We would never stay in this park again. We stayed two weeks, with our friends in two other motorhomes staying six weeks. We camped here in a Motorhome.

They have rules about BARKING dogs, but will NOT enforce them. We left earlier than planned, because after REPEATED complaints about barking dogs, nothing was done. I don't pay this kind of money to listen to such unrelenting "noise." We will NOT return to this park. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We spent mid January to mid March here. A previous reviewer mentioned the rules - they don't seem to enforce them. You can have as many and as big a dogs as you want. Also I agree with a previous reviewer who stated that the office staff seemed 'short'. They definitely seem to consider a customer as someone who is interrupting their work. The park is a lot neater and cleaner than many other parks we checked out. We have reservations for 2 1/2 months next winter. So obviously we liked it. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is actually two parks in one. Very cramped sites around the canal and the "super sites" which are level 100' concrete with small patio. No shade in the super site area. Wi-Fi is available for a fee but signal was good. The office staff was short and all business. If you haven't been here all winter you are really treated as a outsider. Closest groceries are 6 miles away. They sell nothing in the campground. When you arrive you have to sign a receipt for the three pages of rules. Be carefully what rate they quote and what they actually charge. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for 3 months. The park has two distinctive ares. The regular sites and the premium sites. In the regular area you are mixed in with park models. The premium sites are for RVs only. They have 100ft. concrete drive ways and patios. Park has boat ramp,and a small golf coarse. Pricey but so is every thing else in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Clean and well kept. Some shade in most areas except the area of the 100' pull thrus, where there is none. Very little availability of spots along the canal, which are mostly long term or seasonal users. If you are less than sixty, you are considered a youngster. The park is basically a ghost town after nine in the evening. A good schedule of activities. Purchase your LP at depot just east of Walmart (approx 6 miles west of resort). $19 for 30lb vice +/- $30. Just east of I-75. Very clean, neat, well maintained RV park, with large sites. Expensive, but great for the REALLY big rigs. Little or no shade, but nicely landscaped with small palms. Escort to site. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
