The owners have done an excellent job of cleaning up after the previous owners. Both are the kindest, most helpful and gracious owners we have encountered. Everyone is very friendly. The grounds are landscaped nicely and well kept. There are a number of long timers who are also helpful. They have added a club house for get together. Two docks available for fishing. Landing is available with a recommended $2 launching fee. The lake only allows electric motors - no gasoline. The campgrounds are literally out in the country closer to Geneva, AL than Defuniak Springs, FL. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Excellent little campground! Most sites have at minimum a large deck, and some even have large protected decks including full roof over the deck and camper/RV. Full hookups available, although check the length of your wires/hoses as they can be an extra 5-15 feet away compared to other campgrounds we have stayed. Work is still being done on the campground and it looks like they may be expanding. Currently they are redoing much of the electrical but we never experienced any outages or spikes. It appears that dish network TV is available, but I am not sure about wireless, phone or modem hookups. The owners/hosts are great people, VERY kind, helpful and go above and beyond. Boat ramp close by and there is a recommended $2 boat launch fee which is definitely well worth the graciousness they provide. Excellent fishing most of the year although this year has been tough with the extended and colder than usual winter. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.
Great little campground. There are a few long term residents which reduces the number of available spots so be sure to call and reserve ahead of time. Excellent fishing on the small lake with two ramps available. There are 21 sites, some gravel some sand. No playground or swingset of any kind. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.
