Smiley Creek Lodge & RV Park is located 24 miles south of Stanley or 37 miles north of Ketchum. RV park is on grass that appeared to have been recently mowed. Very rustic sites, nothing special except the views which are spectacular! Some sites are out in the open, other sites are shaded by Aspen or Pines. The Smiley Creek Airport is located across the street with only private planes so it wasn’t a noise problem. Some sites are closer to the hwy but at night we didn’t notice road noise. Only 30 amp sites, water & sewer, there are some sites with electric only. Very friendly soft spoken manager with a great outgoing personality. No cable TV, pool, hot tubs, etc., just beautiful views from every direction. We didn’t have a problem leveling out our motor home although it would probably take more time with a trailer or fifth wheel. We were able to use our dome satellite since we were more out in the open. No Cell or Aircard service here but we used the WI-FI in the restaurant which is next door and their food was very good. We didn’t use the showers and they do have a laundry room, although only 2 of the washers and dryers were working. Cabin rentals are available along with 3 teepees. Gas and propane are available here too. The drive up from Ketchum was beautiful with numerous turnouts and the valley view coming in was breathtaking!! Truly a beautiful drive into the Salmon River Valley. This park is a little pricey for not having more amenities($34.56) but the views were worth it, plus we were able to use our washer dryer and get all of our laundry done! We would stay here again if in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.
