We found this park because the local State Park was full for the busy July 4th weekend. When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised how nice this campground was. While small with only 30 sites, there where 3 long term trailer along the edge. Beside those units, we had the entire park. This on a holiday weekend! This park suffers from lack of advertising or a website. All sites are on grass but the ground is hard and we didn't have any issues, even after a rain. Water and Sewer and 30 amp at all sites. Large rig friendly and several pull-through sites. This campground doesn't offer anything fancy, no Wi-Fi, no cable, no shower, but it does have a restroom with toilets only. If you want to camp near Lake Newton, or want to camp in a quiet location, this is the place for you. We have never had a nicer campsite for the price. (While the address is in Newton, IL it's actually closer to Bogota, IL.) We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
