We stayed for 3 weeks before moving to Oakwood RV in Clear Lake. River Ranch is very woodsy. It is in the area that had flooding this past year so there were a lot of mosquitoes. The owners were very nice and they are working to get the park back into shape after the flood. They have cabins for rent and you can rent canoes, paddle boats and three wheel bikes.You can swim in the river and they usually have plenty of deer to feed in an in-closed area but that is being repaired also. If you are planning on staying for a period of time you would have to go to Charles City to shop and do laundry or to Waverly. We probably would have stayed there but we could not get phone service nor could we get the internet (which is needed for business). It's a good place to go to get away from it all and relax. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
