This is a great campground. I didn't give it the max because of the ancient and somewhat dilapidated state of restrooms and showers. Would definitely stay again. We called an hour away and arrived at about 6:30 PM. They gave us a choice of waterfront and other sites (waterfront sites do not have septic). Lots of local/seasonal folks, all very friendly. Overlooked beautiful Webber Pond (good-sized lake). Lots of kids, local people in small groups , but everything was dead quiet by 10 PM. Rental boats, marked swimming area. $5.00 got us a load of firewood delivered that we almost couldn't use up by 11 PM. Looked like they had a bonfire set up for Saturday night (we were there on Friday). We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a seasonal site campground, with very few transient sites available. The campground roads are not big rig friendly, low hanging branches and tight turns. The exit lane had low hanging branches that forces one to drive on the entrance travel lane. The sewer hook ups are PVC, which are approximately two feet in height causing difficulty in dumping tanks. The restrooms, although clean, were very old and rustic. I agree with another reviewer, I expected something different from viewing their website. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We found this campground by referral of a gas station attendant who called ahead to make sure there was space. That started the wonderful experience. We were greeted by one of the owners who proceeded to check us in. He went above and beyond to make sure that the site we had would suit our needs. He then escorted us to our site and pointed out another site if this wasn't suitable. He advised us that they live here so if there is anything we need, we should contact them and they will do whatever they can to help. We did need milk and since they didn't sell any, the owner offered to go and find some for us. The swimming area was all roped and nice and clean as was the amusement building. I would recommend this site to anyone and would definitely come back. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Very friendly campground. When I called to say we would check in late the owner asked if she could stop by the grocery and pick up anything for me. Mostly seasonals, but they are very friendly. Beautiful lake. We camped in a trailer on site #8, and it had a nice view. If in the area I would stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
The access road into the campground is very very steep. If you are hauling a large camper you will need a strong vehicle to exit the campground. The campground has mostly seasonal campers, very few transient sites. There are very nice waterfront sites, but those are taken by the seasonal campers, most which have permenant structures around them. There is a very nice playground for small children. The staff is friendly and helpful. I was expecting something different than I found from my research on their web site. It is doubtful that I will camp there again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Way off the main drag. Driveway into the place is well paved, but steep as the dickens. This is a weekend retreat. Many of the sites are permanent campers with lots of added on decks, porches etc. Bathrooms were plywood, no paint, clean if you don't count spiders, spiderwebs, concrete floors etc. Showers were about the same. Sewer hookups are just PVC pipes running along the ground with multiple tees and joints too numerous to count. Nice lake. Beautiful sunsets. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.
