Friendly staff and polite with phone reservation. It appeared to be a big family camp with many activities for kids. Very narrow dirt roads with large pot holes which flooded when it rained and caused a lots of mud. Grass lot was pretty level but poor drainage and also had standing water when it rained. Camped here for two days to attend a wedding. Low rating cause of the condition of the roads. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a very family friendly park, and well maintained. The park actually sits between two lakes. Lake Mitchell and Lake Cadillac are connected by a small canal. There are sites along the canal, but they are currently being updated and were not available at the time we camped. There is a small swimming beach on the campground side, Lake Cadillac, but a larger one on the lake Mithell side which is the day use area. Nice and sandy with some beach weeds, but they are raked daily. Looked real nice but we did not swim because it was a little cold. There is also a fishing pier in the campground. We caught a lot of fish, mostly bluegills and small perch, but if you like to fish and have a small boat, the lake fishing is excellent. Also, the park is next to the highway, so some sites are close to that. We were near the fishing pier. Anyway, a Burger King is right next to the park, so if you really need a break from camp cooking it's an option. Very cool. They have sites to accommodate just about every type of RV, and if you call the park they will be happy to answer questions. This was our first time camping at this park, and we will definitely be returning. I have two kids and they both loved it. The City of Cadillac is about 7 miles from the campground. It has everything downtown so check it out on those rainy days. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.
