Small campground outside Alpena, MI. It is very run down with most amenities (such as there are) very dilapidated and in need of, at the very least, TLC. The site we chose still uses fuses not circuit breakers and when ours blew in the night I 'borrowed' one from an adjacent site for the rest of the night. The restrooms/showers were bad and we immediately decided to not use them. Tom Tom (GPS) shows the location as about 1/4 mile from the actual location (corner of US 23 and Hubert is where it really is) so the initial experience was bad. That being said, there are not many options for camping in this area and we have not found a better place to stay. We would certainly prefer to not stay here again but we do want to come back to the area. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
