Tips from campers about Vulcan, MO
- docsouce The campground is about 10 minutes away from Mancos to the east and Cortez to the west on RT 160. Cortez is a larger city and have a Super Walmart and pretty much everything else needed. For restaurants we went to the, in the Mesa Verde National Park, Metate Room Restaurant in the Far View Lodge. Fantastic!! The Hunan Chinese restaurant in Cortez, and the Chimayo Stone Fired Kitchen (pizza) in Durango both very good. If you happen to decide to go to Hovenweep National Monument, about an hour away, the "road G" off 160 at the west end of Cortex is a beautiful ride. A bit slower than the RT 10 from Pleasant View.2 days ago Mesa Verde RV Resort
- HastingsNavion This is the Four Corners area. You can sightsee in Durango--hot springs, jeep tours, white water rafting, and train rides. Mesa Verde National Park is half a mile away. Four Corners was about 50 miles, and so were ancient sites like Hovenweep. Cortez is 15 miles away and has great restaurants and a Walmart. Found a restaurant we loved in Mancos--The Moondog Cafe and Bakery.5 days ago Mesa Verde RV Resort
