An older park that doesn't appear to have had much improvement. We have a 38' 5th wheel and large truck. Very tight entry into campground....would not consider this park big rig friendly. Sandy sites. Power didn't work in first receptacle we tried..tried another box and that one worked. Was a cheap park but just due to tight entry, would not return here again. Was told that it has been a problem area for large rigs. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
We have been here for a visit the past 3 yrs and each year we notice a lack of interest by mgmt to update and keep clean. Some seasonal residents have turned areas into tacky town and the restrooms and showers are terrible.Cobwebs, bugs(live and dead),dirt and rusty looking fixtures are the scene in restrooms and bathhouse. I for one would not use it. On the brighter side the owner is friendly, keeps a natural setting, good spacing between sites, a great place for kids to spend a day camping and its basically quiet We camped here in a Motorhome.
We visited over the July 4 weekend and were surprised it wasn't crowded -- we had open sites on both sides of us and were given a choice of four sites. All are fairly close to the lake (we could see it easily from our site) and the beach is a very short walk. The lake is great for families because it isn't deep, the water is warm and there's plenty of room for everyone. The lake's water is kind of red, so don't wear a white suit or T-shirt. The owners are very nice people, and the little store is well-stocked and the prices were reasonable. It was very quiet (save for a slight hum of traffic from beyond the park) and clean, and the seasonal people were, for the most part, delightfully friendly. There were lots of dogs but all were on leashes. The only detractions I can think of is that there isn't much in the game room for kids, and the playground is old and in disrepair. It looked like all the waterfront sites were taken by seasonal folks, but I really can't argue against that. Aside from the minor details, we had a lovely, peaceful time and even made an easy 45-minute drive to Ocean City one day. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Terrible campground. Overpriced compared to other campgrounds in the area, especially since they have no sewer hookups. The two mile dirt road leading to the campground was full of potholes and was washboard-like because of the rain. Interior roads and sites are narrow with low hanging branches. Many low hanging electrical or cable wires. The wire to the security camera broke off our vent hatch when we arrived because it was hanging so low and we couldn't see it at night. There was broken glass all over our campsite. Internet and cell phone service was almost non-existent. When we left we had to have someone get on top of our trailer to lift branches and wires out of the way as we drove out. We would not stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
