The Manager/owner let her dogs (several) jump on the counter and could not do anything for the dogs and could not control them. We stayed four nights at this RV Resort and I use the word "resort" only because its use on the name of the park. We wanted to be close to the Cabot Trail to enjoy the area. The "resort" is made up of 95% seasonal trailers that could never be moved. We were able to get a large pull-through site as a seasonal had moved out. The Wi-FI only worked at our RV because we had a WiFiRanger to boost the signal. The seasonal folks are nice and friendly but I would never again stay at this "resort". Its a long a drive around to the "resort" and I would not recommend using the ferry at English Town. You would be better off staying on the Baddeck side of the Cabot Trail. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This campground has changed its name to Joyful Journeys. It was a nice site with lots and lots of seasonals. The beach access is great and the staff was friendly. Our site was a back-in, but very accessable. Overall a good site, but due to the location I do not think we would return. The Englishtown ferry is just across the bay and by far the best way to get to the site from Baddeck, but it is not recommended as the possibility of damage to your RV is very high due to the angle of the on-off ramp. Therefore, you have to drive 30 miles across the mountain to access the site. The information on the Englishtown Ferry DOES NOT tell you about the problem with RV's and if it was not for the very friendly operator we would not have known and probably caused a lot of damage. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Rate reflects PPA discount. Parked right on the shore. Beach would have been difficult for us to access - a bit steep - but OK for the younger and more adventurous. A lovely setting with lots of seasonals and the park needs some repair; the website is from another time and it obviously has come down since. Also known as "Joyful Journeys" in the tourist guide - unknown why. I don't think we would stay here again. Conveniently close to the ferry. We camped here in a Motorhome.
