Sites are laid out very close together, but park was not busy, so RVs were spaced out where nearly everyone had a wide site. Smell from adjacent fishery was quite strong when the wind was from the wrong direction! Good 30 amp electric and the Wi-Fi worked great. Be sure to allow at least half a day to visit the Fortress. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a no frills place to park. The hosts are very nice and it is fun to see the wharf activity, but there's no privacy. Our site was somewhat off level. I don't think we would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
CG owned & run by town's merchants, very friendly, helpful staff. Open campground on mostly gravel lot overlooking Louisbourg Harbor, across the bay from Louisbourg Fortress (a restoration of Louis XV fort now portrayed in 1744). You can see the Fortress from the campground through the fishing boats. You get a second day on your Fortress ticket if you stay in Louisbourg, have the CG stamp your entry ticket. Walk to playhouse, library, post office, store & several restaurants, 5 min drive to Fortress. Tent sites are on a grassy lot to one side (next to harbor boardwalk), with a picnic table placed on a cement pad, each with it's own shelter roof. Nice large glass gazebo w pay phone-modem. We could not get Direct TV satellite (out of the footprint, we think), but would stay there again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
A relatively small park that has morphed into a hotel and restaurant. Our site was near the beachfront which was great! Level and probably the best Wi-Fi so far on our trip. Great spot to use as a base for touring the fortress and surrounding area. We attended the onsite "Beggars Bangquet". It was a lot of fun and worth the $$. A relatively simple campground, but was perfect for us (no kids), quite and a beautiful shoreline. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Rate of $26 plus tax. This park was a good value and close to the Fortress of Louisbourg. We stayed two nights, though did not attend the Beggar's Banquet which does sound like fun. Bathrooms are modern, though seemed to lack ventilation because they steamed up heavily when showers were in use. Sites are gravel with some grass. WiFi could be used in the site which was a plus. It was breezy right on the water. Would probably stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Park is basically a level, gravel lot in front of the hotel Point of View Suites. Good services. We had a direct ocean view at our site. Excellent bathrooms. Restaurant at the hotel, plus nightly "Beggars Feast" where you are dressed in medieval costumes with great food and entertainment. Point of View park is within walking distance of downtown Louisbourg and the fortress of Louisbourg. Great place to stay while exploring Louisbourg. The owner and staff were great, and price is very reasonable. We camped here in a Motorhome.
What a nice park. Sites are wide, you don't feel like you are on top of your neighbor. Good Wi-Fi, good cable TV. Sites were gravel and level. Bathrooms were clean and bright. Price was very reasonable compared to what we paid at other parks. Good view of the Fortress across the bay. Owners and staff were very cordial and helpful. We went to the their beggars feast and had a great time. They have period dress for attendees and staff, an individual playing music, and good food (basically a lobster dinner, soup, salad, veggies and dessert with other entrees available). The owner was dressed as a wench and comes around each table to entertain. I would like to stay longer but we need to move on. Entrance to the Fort's Visitor Center is very close to the park. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a very basic, small park, and it is essentially a gravel parking lot adjacent to the Inn, however, it is quite adequate and the best in this area. The sites are level, and wide. W/S/E hookups were well located, and water pressure was super strong. This park is waterfront, and there is a small beach area. The RV sites do not look directly out over the water, but there is a view, and oceanfront is just a few steps away. There is a large manicured green space, which made walking the dogs a pleasure. The bathroom facilities were immaculately clean, and trash receptacles were well located. An added bonus is the Beggars Banquet which takes place nightly on the property, and is quite a lot of fun. It includes entertainment and a seafood supper. Also, the entrance to the fort is just a very short distance away. The management is extremely friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay and were very comfortable at this park. We would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a very nice park. The restaurant is excellent, the cable TV is great, and the WiFi even works from time to time. We have checked out the other parks in town, and this is definitely our first choice. There is a show in the evenings in a tent on the site that is included with a lobster or crab dinner and it is wonderful. No trees is a plus for us, as we will not camp under a tree, but some shade would be nice. The waterfront view is spectacular and we actually rode our bikes to the Fortress which is a definite MUST SEE. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Basically a big parking lot with little greenery, BUT we were able to park on the site closest to the ocean view so we were happy with that. Manager claimed WiFi was "really good" several times and pointed out the sites that would have best reception, one of which we used. In fact, WiFi was poor and basically unusable. We checked out all three RV "parks" (more like "parking lots") in Louisbourg; one stank like fish, one had no view and gravel, and one had gravel, a view and didn't stink. That's where we stayed. There were only two units total using this park when we were here; that and the nice view and weather made it an enjoyable stay. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This was our favorite stop in Nova Scotia. Ask about the RV Special that includes a lobster dinner. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
We loved this Park so much we keep extending our stay. It is convenient to everything - you can walk to the Fortress of Louisbourg and to downtown. WIFI worked great. Right on the Harbour with a fabulous ocean view. Sites level. Able to sit on the waterfront and watch the fishing boats go by. Make sure you visit the Lighthouse and Playhouse too as well as the Fortress. Laundramat clean and worked well too. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Open gravel spaces surrounding small suite hotel on a peninsula in Louisbourg harbor, near Louisbourg Fortress entrance. Meals available on site, walking distance to town. WiFi is in progress. Appears to be out of direct TV footprint. Would stay there again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
The internal roads are very good. No pot holes. Ample room to access the sites. We had a pull through which was level. The water pressure was excellent. Internet signal was strong and the access was fast. The owner was friendly and showed us the site before we even paid. The location is very convenient to the downtown area (can walk to it) and the Fort Louisbourg is very close. We would stay there again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This is a new campground (6 years old). All the facilities were new and very clean. The owners have cottages nearby plus a small grocery store and laundromat. It is an open campground with no shade trees. The sites are wide, level and many are pull-through. All sites are 3-way 30 amp. The location is very close to the Louisbourg Fortress. There is a small playground. The Wi-Fi worked perfectly and we got a few TV channels. There were no seasonal campers. We found the campground quiet and friendly. We would camp here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
