It has nice size lots. We thought rates were a little high for no water or sewer hookup. There are lots of bugs because of brush. We couldn't get satellite in first spot because of trees. The camp office was very slow because of computer problems. We are staying for six days. We will stay here again because of visiting friends and relatives that live in the area but hope the state will add at least water to the sites soon. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Nice average park. Sites are fairly large and level but not a lot of shade available. Some sites have a nice view of the lake, though none are really "waterfront" sites. There is a nice new camp office but the 6YO DD says the playground area could use some TLC. We use this park as our wring-out trip every year because it is so close to home (20 min.) but if it weren't for that, I'm not sure we make a long trip to stay here. It's not a bad park, it's not an exceptional park by our standards. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

Freshwater swimming, fishing, and boating in the state park plus shuffleboard, horseshoes, playground and planned activities in the campground. Paved roads with paved pads 20' to 24' long (some with steep drop offs along edge). Nice showers and flush toilets. Every site was filled during our visit - significant outside traffic cruising through the campground areas. Quiet lake - mostly fishing but lots of room for speed boaters. A nice, quiet campground especially with so many people. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This park is a dump. Across from our site were 10 or more junk RVs many of which had their windows smashed out and it was obvious they were not inhabited by humans. Many of the seasonal RVs were in bad disrepair. The campsite is located within 100 feet of a railroad crossing and the train goes through 6 to 10 times a day including the night. The train whistle will wake you in the night. The electrical power fluctuates, don't plug in your laptop. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I have only one word about this place & that is "dump." Overpriced, junky in the extreme. Side by side sites are narrow & the permanent party sites were junked up with old rusty cars sitting around, & other junk sitting out. RVs didn't look like they had been moved in years & were dirty. The whole campground had a look of neglect. We camped here in a Motorhome.

For the love of God I hope you see this before you make reservations! My husband said, "I wouldn't go in there without a full body suit on," when referring to the restroom/showers. He is usually more adventurous then I am. This is the worst campground we have ever stayed in. It's not a campground, it is a dilapidated trailer park full of hooligans on dirt bikes, 4 wheelers, three wheelers (thought they were outlawed!) and go carts.. you name it. If it made noise, and they could get it to start at 7AM and was nuisance, they had it. This place is not safe for children. Friday night, the domestic violence issue woke at least one person in two of the three units in our group, and we were on the opposite end of the place, near the entrance. Thankfully, there was no gunshot. We suspect the Saturday night lights and sirens visit of Sheriff and ambulance to be routine. Others already reviewing this place mentioned the train. We'd like to point out it is TRAINS.. every 3 hours (my husband says more frequent than that!) and they are almost running right through your campsite. We dumped on a site with sewer hookup (fortunately vacated early, probably because of the wake up call dirt bike brat) because the dump station was in the neighborhood where the crack house trailers were. There were TWO different units (if you can call a dump like that a unit) with signs warning "video surveillance"?. They sure aren't protecting their property.. We would stop overnight on a roadside before staying here again. Despite the fact that there are ample dumpsters, the more permanent residents consistently fill their fire rings with trash, including plastic milk jugs.. and burn it.. The place stinks. The few other "visitors" we met were disgusted as well. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
