This place is very quiet, beautiful and scenic. It is located right off Hwy 5; not difficult to get in and out of. There is a playground for the kids. They have a country store on site, and serious grocery shopping and fuel is within 5 miles. It is very well maintained. Boat rental is available within walking distance, and a fishing dam is within a mile. The only drawback for us was no laundry facility. We stayed the maximum 14 days. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Overnight stay. Full hookup pull through spots are a little tight but sufficient. Showers and rest rooms outdated like all state parks. Friendly staff. We camped here in a Motorhome.
A very nice state park. Sites are wooded, near the lake, some sites were very close to the shore. Some were up on the hilltop and you couldn't see the lake for the trees, but that's OK. It is close to Tulsa, with lots to do. There is a marina right near the campgrounds with a restaurant on the water. It is a very nice place to stay. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Nice park. Clean facilities. Not a lot of amenities as far as a pool, ect; but it is a quiet park and the rangers were very helpful. The restrooms could use some updating, they were clean but old. Very scenic area, will stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
It is a pretty lake. Great trails. We found some sites tucked away in the trees, so there was plenty of shade. Some nice playgrounds for the kids. Overall a good experience. Would go back. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.
This park has at least 10 campgrounds, with varying prices and utilities, and each is a small strip of campsites, one unit deep. This way we had no "neighbors" front and rear, and an awesome view of the lake, even though our site wasn't "lake front". Pull-through and back-in sites are the same price. Full utilities are $21; other sites $16 and $8 (no hook-ups). It is a family friendly park, well run, with hiking trails, playground, boating and fishing. Roads are paved and sites are concrete with picnic table and grill at each site. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Our favorite place to camp in Oklahoma. Sites are nicely spaced and there is a varity of choices. Nice lake view to almost all sites, many right on the lake. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Great state park atmosphere. Sites level and paved. Power voltage and water pressure was fine. Shade, views of lake and stores close. We'll be back We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
One of our favorite camps. A wide variety of sites with great lake access. Walking trails and in summer, boat rentals, a restaurant and swimming in the lake. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Directions: From Hwy 51 in town of Mannford, go north at stoplight for apprx 1 mile to New Mannford Ramp sign, turn east at sign and follow road into campground. This used to be a COE park but is now leased to the City of Mannford. It is a small campground that is beautifully maintained by folks who live on the premises year round. Big rig friendly. They accept the COE card so our cost for camping with electric was a reduced $10.00 per night (rather than $18.00). During the winter months, there is no limit on amount of days you can stay at the campground. They will even wrap the closest water faucet to you so you can use it to refill your tank. They have a dump station. The only reason I've given this park a "8" is that there is no playground for kids. If you are wanting a playground and marina, go down the road to the Lake Keystone State Park. But if you are looking for a quiet retreat, this is the place! Even with the trees, there are lots of open spaces where satellite TV will work just fine. AT&T Air Card worked great and AT&T cell coverage was excellent. Favorite sites are #9, 12, 13 and 16. We camped here in a Motorhome.
