Really nice park. We paid a bit more to get a premium site that was on a point overlooking the lake. It was picturesque. We stayed here in early August over a weekend and it was deserted. The manager told us that the schools in the area were already back in session at that time. We were only passing through for 1 night but would definitely come back for a longer stay to take advantage of the lake and marina. Clean, well maintained park. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a Corp of Engineers park that has been in service for several years. Although the park is well maintained, the majority of pads are designed for shorter rigs than my combined length of 53'. It is not particularly convenient to anything but the lake. Regular week days the park is quiet and relaxing. On the weekend tenters and families with children converge and then it can be a little less relaxing. (However the staff and Rangers do keep a good patrol going.) The vast majority of campers at this site are basically local due to its location. Since it is not overly far from home base, we might stay there again for a little get-away location. The dump station is convenient and easy to get in and out of. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
We stayed at the park for three days. The park was clean and not crowded together. Plenty
of shade trees. The main restroom was clean. The other restroom was more primitive. Both were clean. The camp host was very pleasant. A swimming area was at the North end of the campground. A small store is approx: 1 mile north. A well thought out dump station is at the exit. Very clean. Fishing is also a plus for the kids at the fishing dock. All sites were level and covered in a small pea type packed gravel. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
