Considering that this park was rated a 5 star resort, I was very dissapointed. There is no pool, the roads were very dusty with large pot holes and rocks. There were no showers near the transient camping area and the washrooms that were there were in a tiny little trailer similar to an outhouse. They don't have 50 amp service. They require a 20 dollar deposit for a key to get out of the park at night. They have an entry gate that lifts but at night they close a steel gate and padlock it. So to get out of the park at night you have to unlock the padlock on the gate, manually open it and then close it behind you when you leave. Not sure why they need two gates. Roads condition very poor. Very very dusty roads. Some seasonal residents have to cover their cars to keep the dust off. Don't try to ride a bike, very unsafe roads, too many pot holes. I don't know how they got the 5 star rating. Restrooms in park, a total disaster. No handicap facilities. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We had a great time. This park is very friendly, they had a person welcome us to the park and ensured that everything was working to our satisfaction. They had a free concert playing on a stage down by the lake all Saturday evening, followed by a wonderful fireworks display. Lots of activities for the grand kids. The splash pad was a great hit. Fantastic 5 Star park. We really enjoyed the sunsets over the lake. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Don't be tricked by the 5W rating this ownership park received in a popular campground directory. A RV Resort we stayed at in Traverse City, MI truly earned their 5W and 10/10/10. This should be a 2W (wife just said 1W - guess I was too generous because I never stayed at a 1W, but maybe this is the first). The resort has 25 available sites as the others are taken up with park models, permanent travel trailers (some with permanent side rooms attached), and fifth wheels. 30A electric at rear of site. Water and sewer also at rear of site. Sites are approx 26x50 feet, with killed grass or gravel pads. No consistent architecture in this old "5W" resort! Their Splash Pad Fountain should be fun for soaking any kids. Small private Spring Lake on site with swimming beach and some small boat rentals. We would not stay here again.
