US Forest Service campground; one of Oregon's gems. This low-elevation campground (1,000 ft above sea level) has more Life per square foot than almost any other place on earth. Giant old-growth trees, ferns, mosses. Almost every campsite is a Place of Magic. In some spots, you can't even see your car even though it's only twenty feet away. If you're in a shorter RV less than 36 feet, or better yet less than 30, you owe yourself a visit here. There is train noise and highway noise, unfortunately. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This RV park is adjacent to the Arbor Inn Motel and Mobile Home park. There are not many sites for a long rig. We parked our 34 ft. Airstream in the site next to the restrooms/laundry. There is some traffic noise and also you can hear the train whistle several times a day. This is a quiet park otherwise. Our only complaint is that the restrooms were only cleaned once in the two weeks that we stayed there. There are no paper towels or hand dryer so bring your own towel. Mountain biking and hiking are the things to do in this area. The RV park is 40 miles east of Eugene. Price reflects the weekly rate. The daily rate is $35 which seems a little high, but there is only one other RV park in the area (in Westfir). We would stay here again in the future. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
