I love this place. Remote, rustic, zillions of stars and excellent hot spring! Six 90 foot pull throughs. I could almost live there. Intermittent cell network availability. Very accommodating. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Rustic, but we like it there. Having the hot springs makes up for a lot of semi-negatives such as no shade, no tables other than cable reels, and a few other things lacking. Campground is not kept up well, and we felt better about having our own facilites with us. However, we used the hot springs with enthusiasm, so maybe my comments on the lack of upkeep on bathrooms and such should be taken with a grain of salt. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
This is an old, rustic, well worn RV park located in Oregon's high desert on the southern end of the expansive, sometimes dry, Summer Lake. You won't find any manicured green lawns here, or shade trees, but you will find a natural hot spring bathhouse to soak in and some pretty incredible vistas to look at. If you like clean modern bathrooms and showers, well you won't find those here either! But this is a nice place to stay if you bring your own creature comforts with you and all you want is power, water, sewer, and a high desert experience. This is a great place to get away from the crowds. There are also lots of things to see and do in the surrounding area. Note: Verizon wireless has cell coverage here, but Cingular/AT&T Mobility coverage is extremely weak to nonexistent. The town of Paisley a few miles away has strong Cingular/At&T Mobility coverage. The RV park staff was very friendly, laid back, accommodating, and I would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
