We discovered this campground thanks to the federal government shutdown. The cons: The approach to the park is not for the faint of heart. The 1.5 mile road to Tanglewood is a dirt road which begins solid and well-maintained. The final half-mile is easily a 14% grade and here the road is loose pebbles and gravel; we needed 4WD to finish the ascent. No sites have sewer hookups. The pros: The campground is well-maintained. Mature trees provide at least partial shade to most sites. Sites for transient campers number about 35 and are gravel/grass, generally level and vary in size. Interior roads are gravel and easily navigable. The park is 40 years old, but the electrical service and water hookups are much more recent. Restroom/shower facilities are “rustic” but clean and well-kept. Dump station is easily accessible. Owner/manager very personable. Campground store is well-stocked and has a small dining area. The setting is beautiful. The campground occupies the top of a ridge overlooking a large pond. About two-thirds of the park is seasonal sites. They are grouped together and for the most part are generally neatly kept. It’s quiet, but there are activities and facilities for families. If you need to get away where nobody can find you, this is the place. We will camp here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Real quiet campground up on a hilltop in Pa. It is up a fairly steep, but smooth dirt road. Only about 3 miles to town of Mansfield ( Walmart, Lowes, propane at Agway), etc. Nice 5 acre pond, fairly level sites, plenty of shade. Older restrooms were acceptable, they have built new ones, which we didn't use ( too far from site). Nice place to swim, hike and relax. Lambs Creek Hike & Bike Trail in Mansfield is 5 miles away, 6 mile paved bike path through fields along a river, real nice. Oh, did I mention quiet!!! We will be back. We camped here in a Motorhome.
