This park does not take credit cards, cash or check, only. We were looking for a place to stay while enroute from Maine to NYC and we lucked upon this campground. The campground caters mostly to seasonals, but has many overnight sites located amongst the seasonals. This is nice since the seasonal campers are very welcoming and helpful. The sites are good size, but the roads into the campground are pretty rocky with many potholes. There is very little cell service and no cable, very little antenna TV service, but it is a wonderful outdoor CAMPING experience. There are two large ponds on the property. The largest has lifeguard service during the day, a sand beach, plus a large grassy area. It also boasts lots of fish for catching and releasing. The bath houses were interspersed amongst the many campsites and they held 3 toilets and 1 shower stall in each of the buildings. They were outdated, but were kept clean. There were several playgrounds within the campground for the kids. We had a great time and ended up staying for 4 nights instead of the planned two nights. If back in the area, we would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
In spite of some issues, we liked this homey campground. Chiefly the bathrooms needed to be updated and kept cleaner, they were old and grimy. Lovely clean pond for swimming, also had a clear stream running through the length of the CG. Some seasonals were junky, others were neat and tidy. Sites were either gravel/dirt or grass, no concrete. But most sites appeared fairly level. There were several open areas (both seasonal and transients) that allowed for sat dish setup. Roads were bumpy and the map is confusing at best. Employees were VERY friendly. We would come here again, but for those looking for amenities and luxury, go elsewhere. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.
Camp is needing some overall updating. It is pleasant with a pond for the kids, though parents weren't watching them. Minature golf is not kept up and needs a lot of TLC. Pool was very clean and well kept. Restrooms were not bad. I hear the camp is for sale and it looks as if it needs someone to bring it into this year, but not bad in general. We would stay there again. Note: They only accept cash and pets must be less than 25 lbs. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
