This park was initially built by the Civil Conservation Corp. It is a National Forest Service park, located in the Cherokee National Forest. There are 33 RV sites, all very large, level, and shaded. Sites are gravel and have electric hookups only. All sites are first come, first serve, no reservations. A mountain stream runs beside the campground. A small concrete lined pond is fed by the stream and available for swimming. Hiking trails lead to waterfalls upstream. Hose bibs are provided at a few locations in the campground to fill water tanks. A dump station is provided. Hot showers and flush toilets are available. For those who can enjoy a quiet wooded setting with only limited amenities, Rock Creek is a very pleasant experience. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
