This is essentially a big grassy parking lot and not particularly well kept. Sites are somewhat close together and the park appears to be used primarily by transients who are working in the Memphis area. Early every morning, all the pickup trucks cranked up as people headed off to work. We stayed there two nights mainly because there are no recreational parks in the area that we could find. While there is free site-wide wi-fi, for some reason, we couldn't get local TV reception. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We stay here when we have to. There is so much road construction around this park it is a hassle to get to. It is a field with 30 amp power, no pads and when it rains it is a mess. There are nice hiking/biking trails around the Wolf River and a small pond. There is a corn maze across from the RV Park each October which is fun. If you plan to stay more than a night or two look at Tom Sawyer Park in West Memphis. It is much nicer. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We used this CG during a soccer tournament to try to cut costs. This CG does not have bath houses, concrete pads, paved roads, cable, internet... We did not have a site with full hook up, but it does have a dump station. The flies were bad and pets were not cleaned up properly. The CG is huge and is close to many activities in Memphis and is very cheap. I recommend this CG if you are going to Memphis to park; leave your RV; and really just need a place to sleep. If you are looking to camp and hang out, this CG is not for you. The second time my son had a soccer tournament in Memphis, we elected to pay for a motel room. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This park needs major improvements, beginning with the camp host. They only crack the door to their camper and barely stick their head around to even talk to you, let alone greet you. We had reservations for 2 weeks and was quoted the rate of $125/week; however, upon arrival we were informed the rates had been increased to $150/week beginning July 1st even though the price had not been changed on their board on July 2nd. Suggested to them they needed to update their board and we would pay what we were quoted and also what was on their board. Like other reviewers, unless you have called ahead for a reservation, you do not get one of the few sewer sites they have, even though they are vacant. All sites do not have a water hook-up, so IF you go there, be sure to take along a 50 ft. water hose as you might have to lay your hose beneath the camper next to you in order to reach the faucet. Same thing for the electric hook-up. One post may serve up to 3 campers and then it is only 30 amp. Many of the sites are grassy sites and if it rains, make sure you have rain boots. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Firstly, this place has a VERY strange site policy - if you haven't already reserved a full hookup site site prior to arrival, then you cannot have a full hookup site - even though they are ALL empty !!! So, we stayed in a water/electric site and wondered why the CG would want to lose all that money. The CG host was the most miserable man we have found in our 10 months of full timing around the US and Canada. Although his wife seemed nice. The sites are long grass sites which will easily take a 45ft MH and tow vehicle. But I could see them getting boggy if really wet. The CG is an easy 20 minute drive to Graceland. There is FREE wifi available from at least 2 antennas provided by the agricenter. We would come again, but would reserve ahead for the full hookups. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This park has a lot more to offer than the typical camp ground. You are right on the grounds that offer all types of summer/fall activities. While the park itself is just a gravel lot with full hook ups,and pull thus sites. You are within walking distance to a good restaurant and many of the large pavilions. The highways in and around are excellent, and we saw security in the park often. If staying here, you are only minutes from the big town activates, and within 5 miles there are hundreds shops and other fine eating establishments. This is a place where rv rallies are held and was told they could handle over 800 rigs. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Good for a base camp or if visiting a trade show there. Open fields with power poles with four to six drops each and water drops every other pole. Limited number with sewer connections. We used it as a base camp while visiting friends in Memphis. The operators encourage the use of double 30 amp to 50 amp adapter cables for large rigs and they are looking at upgrading at least a portion of the grounds to full 50 amp service. We enjoyed shopping at the Farmers markets next to the campgrounds. Nice folks. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Park has large sites, big rig friendly. Most are pull through. Not a lot of shade. Great spot to spend a night when passing through or in town for a few days. Staff very friendly. Catfish ponds on site, restaurant on site. Not a RV resort but an good safe place for a few days . We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Park is old and run down and check-in staff was not the most welcoming. Park is 1-1/2 blocks from Graceland (we were shocked at the area of town it was in - quite run down). We asked for phone # to Graceland and lady at desk looked at us like we were nuts. So we asked for a phone book and if there were any brochures (got those). But since the park is so close to Graceland we thought they would have lots of visitors inquiring about it and would be able to give information about it. Would not stay here again. We arrived at 6:15 PM' after the 6 pm closing time. The sign on the office door stated "Find an empty campsite and pay in the morning". After getting leveled and starting to hook up the manager showed up and said we had to move as he had just rented this site to someone else. The park was basically empty except for the permanent residents so there were plenty of other sites available so we begrudgingly moved. Next we asked about WI-FI and were told it was $10 a day; outrageous. The park itself is old but clean; sites are small and not very level. Our 50 amp power worked fine but the neighbors next to us had to plug into the 30 amp on our pole as theirs would not work and neither would their neighbors on the other side. The location is good for touring Graceland, but this is not a neighborhood you would want to be walking in at night. I don't think we would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

If you are an Elvis fan and want to see Graceland and all the Elvis sights in Memphis, this is the place to stay. It is definitely in easy walking distance to "Graceland" and all the tours associated with it. Not an "end run" place, but a great stop over to tour "Elvis". This is the only place to stay. The sign for the place is really hard to see. We missed it and when I mentioned it to the manager, she stated that she gets this all the time and is trying to get corporate to fix this. However, when you see the sign for the "Heartbreak Hotel", her sign is below it and it is time to turn into her drive. Loved it, had a great time. We camped here in a Motorhome.

If you want to see Graceland there is no other place to stay! In the middle of the city but you feel you're in the country. Quiet, clean, well run and the best staff - who specialize in "what to do and how to do it" at Graceland. A wonderful place to stay. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Stay Clear! We arrived in with our 5th wheel. The manager was nice. The campground was very, very run down. There was only 1 other traveler there, everybody else lived there. We had major problems trying to back in a 5th wheel and getting level on a very small site. This place was extremely scary for 3 grown adults. A toothless bum went walking through the campground. We drove to get dinner and found a very nice campground behind the Graceland Heartbreak Hotel. We quickly went back to the campground, grabbed the 5th wheel and stayed at the Graceland Heartbreak RV Park and really enjoyed our stay there. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

It's close to Graceland. That's about all you can say for it. It's dirty, cramped, lumpy, etc. We were given two sites as were the folks next to us. The rig on one site and the tow on the other, not enough room on one site for both. It was late and we did not know our way around. Stay somewhere else if you can. P.S. I think I just heard someone empty the clip on a handgun. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Just a scruffy car park, it is close to Graceland but that is its only redeeming feature. This is not a good part of town to be out in and make sure you lock everything. We just didn't feel safe here, glad we only stayed one night. Passport America rate did help but would rather pay more and have a better experience. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The Managers were very friendly. The bathhouse is old but was clean, it is a older park but i enjoyed my stay. They are the cheapest place to stay in Memphis. The newer parks charge upwards to 45.00 a night. This park was only 28.00 a night winter special. They have a very fast WIFI but it is a paid service. No cable but you can get about 10 channels on antenna. Close to everything and Managers are very informative. They can tell you about any and everything in and around Memphis. Just let them know what you are wanting to do. They only have 1 pull thru and I got it for 4 days. They can take big rigs the way the Managers run the park makes it a lot friendlier for big rigs. I would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Only a couple of blocks from Graceland. A place to spend the night. Water and elec. were good. The noise from the Memphis airport will drive you crazy for the first two or three hours of the night. Elvis would not have stayed in Graceland if he had to listen to the roar of planes all night long. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Two of the earlier reviews are actually for the other RV park that is behind the Heartbreak Hotel,next to Graceland. This one is 3/4 mile away, and the ONLY reason to stay here is that it's cheaper and has Passport America for one night. This park is a miserable dump, and a sorry excuse for RVing. The managers don't leave the office unless forced. The bathrooms were dirty, without toilet paper, and no light over the 2 showers. Tiny laundry room was worse, with dirt and water everywhere and an overflowing trash can. Sites are in a paved lot, not level, and mostly tight. Wifi seems to be available for a charge. Manager did not mention it, did not offer the bathroom key, nor any other info. No security efforts, of course. The walk to Graceland is okay if you are careful; don't do this at night. Avoid this place if you can. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This RV Site was located in the most perfect location if you want to visit Graceland - literally a 5 minute walk to the ticket office. The earlier post about having to drive is nonsense and he must have stayed in a different site and reviewed this one as Graceland doesn't come any closer than this. The park is at the rear of Heartbreak Hotel - which we had a few drinks in the bar watching Elvis DVDs. The park WIFI did not work, but the hosts very kindly let me plug in my laptop in their office. The staff were very helpful, but the old guy spent more time moaning about his employers as to their procedures and was very vocal about his desires to leave, than the time he spent on serving clients. None the less, the facilities were very good, there is a great shop with Elvis souvenirs and the condition of the park is good. Would not suggest making a vacation there, but would strongly recommend staying there to see Graceland. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The park was adequate for an overnight stay to visit Graceland. It was a good place to park and use full hookups. I would not stay here more than one night. The staff was very friendly. I disagree with the earlier post that it's 100 yards from Graceland. It was far enough my wife, kids, and I decided to drive. If it was 100 yards, I would walk every time...I would guess a half mile or a little more to Graceland. I had no trouble with the WI-FI. Very good connection. There was a $5 extra charge to use it. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

If you want to see Graceland, it don't get much easier than this. The park is about 100 yards away from Graceland, it's next to the parking lot of the Heartbreak hotel. Since the park is owned by the same folks that own the Heartbreak Hotel, you can use the hotel shuttle to get to Beale St. The park was clean and everything worked. The shade tree was small, but effective. Wished it had a fire pit, but no fires due to being inside Memphis City limits. If you stay here, we recommend calling Marlows Restaurant for dinner. The Restaurant has free shuttle service to this RV Park (A Pink Cadillac limo) and the BBQ ribs were absolutely wonderful. We would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Beggars knocked on our RV asking for change at this park. (More on that later.) This was a very cramped park, and not the place for pets. There was plenty of space to walk our dogs, but we usually tie them out during the day while we are at camp. Even with them tied on a 6' leash, they could reach our neighbor's slideout. We didn't want them touching the neighbors, so we couldn't leave them out. It was very tight quarters and the site we were in was far from level. The park backed up to an apartment complex, and there was a lot of noise from the residents there. It was a bad area, but that is what you get if you want to be near Graceland. It was an easy walk to all the tourist attractions. Our first night, we got in and the manager actually drove around with my husband and let him choose a site, which was very nice. Still, the choices were not great. I think the KOA Circus Circus in Vegas had more space between sites than this place. Also the utilities were located awkwardly, which took up a lot of the space. We got up the next morning and walked to the attractions, which was nice. We came back to the camper. We were not able to cook out, because there was no where to stand or sit outside. Then after dinner, our two children were asleep when we heard a knock on the door. We assumed it was the park management or a campsite neighbor. Actually it was two female panhandlers asking for money. On our 6-week trip, we had never experienced anything like that. My husband told them no and we put one of our dogs outside to guard our site. The next morning we complained, and then moved on. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is an older park, but the owners were super friendly and very accommodating. Another reviewer stated it was not in the best area of town, but neither is the competition (Memphis/Graceland RV Park & Campground). This one is maybe a block further down Elvis Presley Boulevard and for the price difference we paid ($31 vs $46) it's a buy. Good hookups and pull through sites are available. Very convenient to Graceland, shopping, restaurants, etc. We'd return. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Not situated in the best part of town, this park is close to Graceland. Most of the park is paved with full services. The park host was very helpful but did advise not to venture too far from the park after dark. The sites were a reasonable size. The washrooms were very dated but clean. Passport America is accepted here which made it bearable. I would not recommend the park for a family intending on staying for any length of time. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

If you come to Memphis to see Graceland this is the place to stay: it is across the street from Graceland. We spent the entire day touring Graceland and the other exhibits (planes, movies, army, and cars). I was glad we were close after Graceland (3 hours) we went back and let the dogs out for a walk: great area for them at the back of the campground. The pool was closed but looked nice. Laundry and bathhouse were very nice. When they are this good we use them otherwise we shower in the RV. We would definitely stay here again. It rained like crazy all one night and the whole day, and the site was still pretty dry. People in the office were very helpful and gave us several discount coupons for Graceland and other attractions in the area: definitely eat at Marlowe's for their ribs. They will even pick you up in a pink limo for free. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The RV park was clean, comfortable and very welcoming. The staff in the office was very knowledgeable and friendly. I only wish they had a good Wi-Fi network. The one they had was too weak to provide us with a good connection. We spent two nights there and took a quick run into Memphis to sample some good BBQ. The access to Graceland was a tremendous draw for this park. We'll be back here next year to spend a little more time in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a very nice, well groomed park. Staff was extremely knowledgeable, polite and helpful. It is convenient and within walking distance to all the Elvis attractions. It is located behind the Heartbreak Hotel. We did not use the showers or restrooms, but the laundry room was immaculate and all the machines were in good condition. This park provides information for a round trip shuttle to Beale Street for a small $10 fee per person. Well worth it! Nice well kept park. The sites were not extremely large, but big enough to easily fit us and the larger units around us. The restrooms were older but clean. A manned security guard is posted up by the Heartbreak Hotel parking lot. I have to agree with other posters that this did help you feel safe even though the area didn’t seem bad. The kids left their bikes out every day and night without problems. Our site was very close to the office, so our wifi was excellent! Office staff was friendly and helpful. They even let me print out a coupon for the Graceland tour. The swimming pool didn’t seem to have a light, so we had to leave when it got dark. Not many kids when we were there, maybe they were all touring in Memphis. Graceland tour is an easy walk from the campground. If in the area we would stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Gorgeous RV park with spacious sites and lots of grass. Right behind the heartbreak hotel. There is a free evening shuttle into memphis from the hotel that the RV park guests can use and there is also a shuttle that goes to the Sun Studios that picks up every hour from the hotel during the day - although it is a bit of a walk to downtown from the drop off point. If you visit Sun Studio though they will take you downtown after your tour and there is also a pick up point just off Beale street. RV park was clean and safe. Staff was very friendly. Neighborhood feels pretty safe and wasn't as scary as I expected it to be based on reviews I've seen elsewhere about Graceland. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Staff and security were helpful. Location is great - just across the street from Graceland and behind the Heartbreak Hotel and Museums. Had to drive for a good restaurant. Too many permanent RVers with junk around their rigs. Picnic tables were all broken. Small pool looked clean. Typical in-town RV Park, but great place if you are doing Graceland. I agree with last post. Note: Web site directions tell you to get in right lane thru three traffic lights. Stay in center lane ( of the three ) as the right lane runs out after 3rd light, otherwise directions are very good. Also, they run a free shuttle to Beale Street every evening from 6-11 PM from the hotel on the park grounds. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This campground is well kept with a friendly staff. The sites are limestone and level with good hookups. There is 24 hour security on site. The c/g is located across from Graceland and next door to Elvis attractions. The Heartbreak Hotel is in front of c/g. Marlowe's BBQ is just down the street, but if you call after 4pm, they will pick you up at your campsite in a Pink Cadillac and take you to the restaurant anytime you want to go. After dinner, they will bring you back. This was our 1st visit to Memphis and we noticed the area is somewhat rundown. We would have rated the c/g higher, but the price is a bit steep. I don't think Memphis is for us. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This park fits the classic line ... it is what it is. This is a nice park short walk to Graceland and a free shuttle to downtown. The sites are close with gravel pads and not much to look at. But the staff is friendly and the park although somewhat dated is very clean. We came here to see Graceland and for that this park is perfect. The Wi-Fi was great and although there is no cable there are about 10 air channels. Its a simple park great for a couple of nights to see the attractions. I would return to see the sights. We came in late and sign in was easy. There is a security guard house at night. The sites are basic with grass and stone pads. New trees are coming up. There is a nice but small pool, a nice area to walk the dogs, large laundry area (coin), there is a nice shady playground area and friendly staff. There is a tour company that will pick you up at the campground office, as well as a restaurant that specializes in the Elvis experience that will pick you up at your site in a pink limo. Walk to Graceland and the other Elvis museums instead of paying for parking in the lot worth $8. It was worth every dime if you are in Memphis for the Elvis experience. Good Sam park. This was a nice park with extremely friendly, helpful staff. The sites had level, gravel RV pads, and the utilities were in good shape and well positioned on the site. There was no cable TV but the reception on the Memphis TV stations was adequate for news, weather, cartoons etc. There was plenty of grass between the sites but there was absolutely no shade. The sites were a bit close, but still plenty of room. We had a pull through site and had no problems positioning our 33’ fifth wheel. The restrooms were clean but were not air conditioned. The pool was very nice and stayed open late during our stay in mid July. This park is perfect for visiting Graceland. Everything is walking distance. I had read before our trip that some folks were concerned about safety and security in the area. We stayed here 2 nights and felt a constant presence by the staff and had absolutely no concerns what-so-ever for our safety or security. I was perfectly comfortable in this park. The Rock N Roll cafe is located in front of the park (actually in front of Heartbreak Hotel) and we saw a great Elvis show and had a good meal. Kids were able to go in and we had a great time. The staff at the Rock N Roll cafe was awesome. We highly recommend this park. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This park was barely adequate for an overnight stay. The site we got was a narrow back-in. The biggest surprise was the volley of six shots somewhere outside the RV in the middle of the night. Again we had a sewer problem - sewer plugged somewhere below our RV. Sewer in at our RV and out at the next outlet down. I didn't completely finish dumping tanks. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Called ahead to reserve a site. Was able to reserve a site, but not able to "pick" which site we wanted. The friends we were traveling with has an asthmatic child, so we did not want to be on one of the gravel roads. Upon pleading, they said they would see what they could do. We arrived 8:00PM Friday night and office was closed. I had called earlier and they said they would leave directions to our sites. When we arrived, there were no directions. We were forced to grab two remaining sites in the back that were on a gravel road. Upon discussing with the manager the next morning, they moved us to two interior sites with full hookups. Campground was relatively clean, bathrooms clean, and the campground is centrally located in Memphis, but entrance is very hard to see even in the daylight. The Memphis airport is a couple miles away and the FedEx jets woke us up each morning at 4:30am. If the noise of the city does not bother you (sirens, cars, gun shots), you would enjoy this campground. It is right behind the Graceland ticket center, so that is very convenient. Got funny looks from neighbors when kids were playing in the street. Got the feeling kids were not welcome. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Just an update for 2007. As all previous reviews state, it’s walking distance to all Elvis attractions. Excellent WIFI; more than enough TV stations on the amplified antenna; very helpful and knowledgeable staff; washrooms a bit dated but spotless. Bus stop right across the road for those who want to see the Beale St attractions, or you can catch the free shuttle from Heartbreak Hotel to Sun Studios. Rock & Soul Museum highly recommended, as is the Irish pub at Peabody Place, but overall the city looks just a bit depressed. Price quoted includes the Good Sam discount. A great place to stop for Elvis & downtown. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This campground is very overpriced. We paid close to $50/night for our medium sized family. The park is directly across the street from Graceland, which still doesn’t justify the price. The sites are gravel, mostly pull-thrus, and are spaced about 12 to 15 feet apart. There is a sign at every site “Do Not Park on Grass,” though you can’t really tell where the site ends and the grass begins. We did have some ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS during our stay. On the first night, our voltage went down to 109V. After that, the voltage seemed to hover between 114V and 118V. When running the air and microwave, the 30A breaker in the service box kept blowing, which has never been a problem before. We inquired at the office and were told that they had just spent a bunch of money upgrading the electrical. That didn’t explain why the 20A breaker in our box was broken. Anyway, the fellow came out and checked the voltage at the outlet and said the breaker must be OK. He obviously knew nothing about electricity. On a good note, the park does have a nice open field at the back for walking dogs and playing with the kids. The laundry is nice as well. Unless you really need a close place to Memphis, I would encourage you to look elsewhere. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice folks checked us in and gave us all the info needed to have a great time in Memphis. Don't blink or you will miss the sign. This campground is directly behind the Heart Break Hotel and is within a short walking distance to Graceland. The sign for the campground is fairly small and hard to see until you're right on top of it but the entrance is just before Graceland. The campground is clean and well kept even though its older. The staff was very helpful in planning our time to tour the sites in Memphis. They gave us some great ideas on how to get around for free using tour buses. The only thing I wish they had was Wi-Fi for the Internet. They do have a dedicated phone plug in the office for your computer but they limit the time to use it to only 15 minutes. Close to Graceland. The entrance is the same driveway as the "Heartbreak Hotel", and the sign for the RV park is small and easy to overlook. While parked here for two days we saw almost every RV miss the driveway and have to turn around further down Elvis Presley Boulevard.The entrance also has a huge, RV-bottom-scraping bump. The sites are very small, requiring unhooking and sideways parking of a tow rig for our 36' 5th wheel. The signs at each site admonish, "no parking on the grass" but it's almost impossible not to do so on many sites. Sites are close together, and lacking in shade. There is a gate in the fence to walk to the Graceland tour entrance. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Would not want to spend a week or so there, due to the closeness of the sites, but it's a great place to overnight, and especially if you want to visit the Elvis attractions. What makes this campground so extraordinary is the location. It is one block off I-55, two blocks from the bluff overlooking the Mississippi River, five minutes from downtown Memphis, three minutes from the Amtrak station (free parking and access to the Main Street Trolley). Happy to escape from Hurricane, and have a safe place to sleep with power. But, for anyone wanting to bring (4) children somewhere to keep their minds off of the disaster at home, this is not the place to bring them. It is merely a parking lot and nothing more. This seems to me like a park for workers. It is very loud, by the railroad and the interstate, and I was unable to sleep much at all. There is nowhere for children to play, literally. We had to leave to bring them elsewhere to expel energy. Only positive, is electricity, and I brought my laptop and with WIFI, I was able to watch the Hurricane information locally at my home with updates. It just isn't a vacation spot for children. It is, though, close to many attractions in Memphis. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Good Sam has not checked this one out. It is nothing but an old 1 story office building turned into private residence and office (to collect your money) and the broken up concrete parking lot is where you park your rv. Along side a noisey highway, no shade, very little grass. A real dump! If I could really rate it, it would be -100 for extremely poor. Would not recommend to anyone to stay at this place. E-mailed Good Sam Club to let them know they definitely need to check this place out before putting their name on it. Would have felt safer in a rest area. You cannot even see the river from the rv park (now I know why they call it rv park as that is all you can do there). We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This campground is an equestrian campground and therefore has a problem with horse droppings which results in a fly problem. The restrooms were dirty and the showers in the womens bath houses were so dirty that my wife refused to use them. I believe that the state of Tennessee could do better job of upkeep and make this a real nice campground. I would not recommend this campground to anyone for any reason until cleaned up properly. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Beautiful park, I agree, however it is surrounded by some pretty run down areas. Road construction at Exit 9 on I-55 forced us to detour thru some rather seedy neighborhoods. Exit 7 would be a better choice for the time being. No real problems encountered. Security appeared good at the park. Facilities are very nice. Don't be put off by signs saying, "Primitive Camping Area". All sites have water and electric, and dump station is top notch. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Very quiet and under-utilized park. Some branch impingement on the roads and backing into spots. Pool is about 2 miles away within park. Bathrooms and laundry rooms excellent. Would camp here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This park is a hidden jewel. Very spacious sites and very very shaded. You will most likely have trouble getting a satellite signal but it is possible with all the trees. Clean bathrooms and showers. Getting there is is not to bad. You get to see the real Memphis. We had a very pleasant stay while visiting Graceland and Beale Street. We would stay again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a great place to stay! We did the whole Memphis thing, Graceland, Beale Street, Sun Studios, and the BBQ Festival. We were in the middle of everything! We checked out the other area campgrounds with a drive thru pass(which were more expensive and smaller spaces) we were so happy that we choose T.O. Fuller State Park. There was no sewage but the bath-houses were so clean with private "lock the door showers" a great laundry room and free Ice, and being handicapped the price was only $16.00 a nite. Since we stayed 5 nights it turned out to be a great deal at a great park. Round the clock security and a ranger that stays in the campground made our stay quite pleasant! All state park campgrounds could learn a thing or two from this one! We camped here in a Motorhome.

I liked this park because I prefer public or state parks over private anyway but this park is a beautiful and quiet park. Now there is a couple of things i must point out you do drive through a not so good area to get there (no way around it) and their was a distinct odor in the air when the wind was a certain way possibly a rendering plant or something they produce or manufacture in the area this was disturbing but the restrooms and laundry were spotless and the host was very helpful. It was a great way to visit Memphis. We stayed here three days. We camped here in a Motorhome.

While the park is a little hard to get to from the interstate and takes you through a rough looking part of town, the park itself is very pretty. The campground is well maintained and the bathhouse is clean and heated. Wind direction can make the park a little stinky. It is a small campground and does not take reservations so call to make sure they have spaces. The Indian museum near by is worth seeing. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We wanted a public campground within easy driving distance from Memphis sites, and this was great. The area you drive thru getting to it makes you a bit nervous (pretty run down), but the campground itself is lovely. We were there in March and it had only a few other campers - very peaceful, lots of birds, great dog-walking spaces. We also did some bike riding - roads were mostly traffic-less. Only about 15 min. to downtown Memphis. Very helpful campground host. Overall much better than we had expected (despite the occasional heavy rains and thunder storms). We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a small campground with good facilities. The "Pull-Through" sites are short, but most of the back-in sites will accommodate large rigs. There are limited recreation opportunities and the trail system is not maintained and hard to navigate. This park does not take reservation so get in early. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We had to be pretty motivated to locate this park but once in, we were glad to be there. Quiet, clean, super laundry. Easy drive to Graceland and Bealle St. Tables and fire rings. Nice play area for children if you've got them. Fall leaves were wonderful. Lovely walks. Will return if in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We were so sorry that we came in late afternoon and had to leave first thing in the morning. What a lovely park! You do have to go through some different areas to get there, but it's a gem. You might want to have a water regulator with you. We arrived after the office was closed, but the park ranger was so nice and made us feel at home. We would certainly return to this campground. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a beautiful, peaceful park--one of the nicest places we have stayed east of the Mississippi. Park personnel were friendly and helpful. I am permanently disabled and have a Golden Access Pass for National Parks. Some state parks honor the pass so when my husband went in to register, I told him to ask if T.O. Fuller did. They not only honored it (giving us a rate of $10/night instead of $18) but they did so without asking to see the actual pass! Nice people, fantastic park--15 minutes from downtown Memphis. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed at this park for three nights in April 2008. Although the road to the park passes through an industrial zone, this park is a hidden gem. On the downside, the hiking trails have not been kept up and need some volunteers to bring them back up to a decent standard. On the upside, where the paths can be found, they are beautiful. The park is 12 minutes from Graceland --- an outstanding attraction even for the casual Elvis fan. There is a very interesting Indian village (Chucalissa) right beside the campground. The park also boasts an excellent and inexpensive ($10/nine holes) golf course. The staff were friendly and helpful. This park simply needs more campers --- it’s definitely worth a visit. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a great park and very close to all the Memphis attractions. Graceland is about 10 minutes and you can get downtown/Beale in 20 minutes. Amazingly for a state park, there is a laundry room with 3 washers and 3 dryers. Washers are a mere $1, driers .50. There's even an ice machine in the laundry room. Don't believe I've ever seen an ice machine in any CG. Staff is friendly as is the camp host. Prices increased on 4/1/2008 to $20, $18 for seniors and $16 for seniors with TN plates. The only reason this park didn't get a 10 is the airport noise. I'm very surprised it hasn't been mentioned previously. When those Fed Ex jets start taking off around 11PM, you will know it. Friday nights are lighter traffic and there's no traffic on Saturday night. A white noise machine (you could use a bedroom overhead fan) and earplugs were essential. All in all, this is probably the best bet in Memphis, though you'll have to do without park Wi-Fi and when the trees fill out in the late spring, satellite TV will be difficult. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I agree with the others that this is a nice little park. Perfect for the "vacationer" or people just passing through town. Water and electric sites only. Mostly shaded with tall trees. If you want to use your satellite system, get there early and get one of the few open to the southern sky sites. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a wonderful place to stay away from the commercial area of town. It is a quiet, clean and friendly camp. The hosts were wonderful, very helpful and caring,especially when tornado warnings were threatening. The sites are nicely treed offering some privacy. This park is a 10 minute drive from Graceland and under 30 minutes to downtown Memphis, making it a great spot to camp while touring the city. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This Campground is a hidden gem amidst the hustle and bustle of Memphis. It was all that we expect (or at least hope for) in a state park: huge sites, nicely treed, good access roads, clean facilities. The score wasn't downgraded for no sewer at site or no WiFi, as we don't expect those amenities in a state park. The campground host was very friendly and informative, as was the staff in the Visitor's Center. When driving in from I-55, you travel through an industrial area along Riverport Rd., but once you turn into the park grounds, the setting and atmosphere change dramatically for the better. The park is located about 6 miles from Graceland and 8 or so miles from Beale Street...very convenient for sightseeing. We stayed for three nights and wished we could have stayed longer...and that just about says it all! We camped here in a Motorhome.

A nice campground located in the midst of a state park that includes a golf course and some hiking trails. There are several long pull-thru sites for anyone that is just passing through but since it is so close to Memphis it is a very nice place to spend a few days. The water faucets are unlike anything that we have encountered in our 13 years on the road. There is a label on each of them describing how to operate them but even with that, often times the campers have to consult with the camp host to get them to work. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This campground was slightly hit by a tornado. Damaged some trees, but did not cause a problem getting around the campground. This is a small campground. Restrooms were clean. Persons at reservation office were nice but not really friendly. Camp host was nice, friendly and efficient. Sites are pretty close to each other but no problem with extending slides. This is not my favorite campground but is good for a few days to run around Memphis. I would stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
