We were parked on a grass site with "fire ants" and it was not fun. All the gravel sites are assigned to long term residents. Only place to stay between Edinburg and Alice. Old RR crossing a little steep when gaining access, a lot of scrapes in asphalt from RVs. The Valero Truckstop about 1 mile south of town usually has some of the best fuel prices south of I-10. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Mostly winter Texans. Clean, well spaced, level sites. Adjacent to, and view of city golf course. Set well away from highway - little to no road noise. Good laundry facilities. One toilet/sink per sex; shower rooms locked (by management) and not available for use (good to be self-contained). We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
