We had a couple of problems... although we used the online reservation system and got a confirming call, when we arrived they had no reservation and we had to go into the "overflow" area. The Managers are the BIG plus at this RV park. They are very friendly and eager to help. The park is pet friendly and while they don't have an enclosed pet run, there is plenty of grassy areas to walk them. There is a nice gazebo just outside the office to sit and relax and BBQ if you like. BTW... if you want a great steak for dinner, ask the manager how to get to Sweetgrass. You will love it! Rate reflected Good Sam discount. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We really enjoyed our stay at this resort. The managers are very friendly and helpful. They made us feel welcome after a long drive. The resort was clean. The dog wash was great for our puppies. We will definitely return to this resort! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Beautiful showers/restrooms. WiFi non-existent. Quiet park even though 98% filled. They don't really need transient business. Most of what previous reviewers have reported is correct. Very close quarters and big-rigs should not apply. Our van is 22' and fit space#15 perfectly. Office staff very pleasant and efficient. I would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Once you get settled in this park it has a lot going for it. Urban location, great services, clean bathroom, showers, gym, laundry etc. Nice concrete roads at least 30' wide. The problem with this park is that the sites are tiny. They are 35' long at the most so your RV fits but no toad or tow vehicle. Most sites have no room between RVs for parking so everyone parks on the 30' wide street (both sides) so its really hard to get your RV through the park and virtually impossible to get your RV into your site without getting people to move their vehicles. In order to cash in the park had RVs parked in the entrance ramp to the park and one on the road between sites further hampering access. Hard to sleep for the 3 nights we spent there. One neighbor arrived at 1 am and knocked on our door to get us to move our vehicle so he could maneuver. On another night a class A down our row went up in flames. The fire dept needed a bunch or vehicles moved to gain access. Not much left of the motorhome as the fire trucks could not get through all the parked vehicles. This place is a disaster waiting to happen IMO. They need to convert a few revenue spots to parking before I will return. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We have enjoyed staying here since March while working in the Houston area. Previous reviews are accurate about the park having many permanent and long-term campers. But with a few exceptions, the long-termers keep their sites neat. The grounds are very well maintained with lots of shaded sites, which was very important to us. Landscaping and gazebos are also very nice. Restrooms, showers, pool, spa & gym facilities are kept immaculately clean on a daily basis. Laundry facilities well maintained & reliable. Park is located right next to Highway 59 & the "outer" toll road (Highway 8), so there is lots of background highway noise. But the campground itself is very quiet. People are friendly and I feel safe walking the dog in the dark. It is an urban oasis, within the city limits, and definitely the nicest park on the south side of Houston (and we checked them all!). Whether for an overnight stay while passing through, or for longer working stays where you need to be close in to the city, we would definitely recommend this park. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

The parks bills itself as a resort which it is not. You need more than a small pool and hot tub to be a resort. The grounds are clean as are the rest rooms but management is very rude. The managers are always outside the office smoking and do not seem to want to help with anything. Many residents (long term) in the park were openly complaining about the managers...seems they were new. Overall probably would not stay here again due to the management. Just got a bad feeling from the two of them. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I really have a hard time rating this CG. We stayed for only a night. The sites are VERY close, but they offer free use of a gas grill, a hot tub, an in-season heated pool. When the battery in our towed was dead, the person in the office was quick to give us a jump. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I was here on business. The original managers kept the park clean, pool clean and weight room clean. The lawn was manicured so not to have tree limbs hitting your camper/RV. The next managers, let the grass grow, rented to ANYBODY, and stopped trimming trees. It was like night and day. I went from feeling safe to feeling like I did not have enough locks on my door! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This park in my opinion is a great location for a big city. 2/3 of spots are long full timers, however, the pull thurs are great. 15-20 to Galleria, the same to Western Houston. Sugarland just down US-59. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We were in Houston for a dog show at the Reliant Center and chose not to dry camp there. We selected All Star for its relatively easy travel route (Houston traffic considered). Full hook-ups and trees are very nice. Although the park is only about 3 blocks from a major expressway, we found it peaceful and quiet. Approximately half of the sites are occupied by long-termers, but their sites were maintained, as was the entire park. We would certainly consider this park for future use. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Definitely not a resort as it is 80% or more full with permanent type residents. Still it is an OK choice for being this close into Houston. We had a pull through which was fine. The back ins would have been a little bit of a challenge for a trailer but OK for other RV's. Well maintained. No problems with noise or trash even with the large number of permanent occupants. Definitely OK for an overnight stay and / or if you need to be close into Houston. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Park is a bit outside the comfort zone to be considered "conveniently close" to downtown Houston. Park was overall borderline in our opinion. Facilities were clean and well maintained. Staff was helpful. Most campers were long term. Site spacing was horrible. Tow vehicle parking leaves a lot to be desired if your in a back-in site. Site angle is straight-in with a narrow driveway. A fabrication shop located just outside the fence line of this park, was quite noisy throughout the day (M-F). We stayed 3 nights, will not stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This was an okay park. It seems most campers were there long term which is fine. The pull through sites were easy to access, and the park is just off the highway. My kids checked out the restrooms and showers and said they were just okay. We were visiting family in Houston so we didn't need a lot of 'features'; and stayed only a couple of nights. This is an outstanding park. Very close to downtown Houston but is quiet and has a great atmosphere. Owners are friendly and very helpful.Sites are all concrete and pretty close together but had no trouble getting into them. The pool,hot tub,and bathrooms were immaculate. We called to make reservations. The staff was very helpful with directions to park. Interior roads are paved with mostly trimmed trees. The park was landscaped well, and the facilities were maintained well. Swimming pool, spa, and rec room were immaculate. I suggest you disconnect towed vehicle on street outside park. First off we could hardly get backed into our site because of the closeness of the other
sites across the road and the corner where we were trying to get. Sites are way too close together our back bumper was almost touching the back bumper of
trailer behind us. Our sewer connection ran uphill and when we put our slideout out it was into the bushes and we didnt even have room to park our truck in
front or beside the trailer. Thank goodness we were only staying one nite. Will never ever stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Our family stayed at this park over night to get my husband set up on a new job. The exit and entrance was gated and that gave us a sense of security. The check in and out was very quick and to the point, not real social but not rude. We didn't take a lot of time to look around the park but it was quiet and clean. The spaces are not very big but sufficient. Not bad. We would stay again if in the area. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

In a very bad neighborhood, but we stayed here for the better part of 2008 for work without incident. Coded gate entrance. Very nice rigs coming in and out. I felt safe here alone when my husband was at work. Owners live in park and are helpful. Small dog run. Has cabins and tent area. Always clean and manicured. This is a nice KOA. It was quiet and generally clean. A nice couple owns the park and they are always on site and available, and they are nice and helpful. The real problem with this site is that there is nothing of real interest nearby. It is very close to the airport and that is a convenience for some. However, the neighborhood is basically industrial/commercial and does have some convenience stores and small drive through restaurants but it is not convenient to most of the things people probably go to see in Houston. We were visiting family in Houston Heights and it was the most convenient place for that. Overall, it is a nice camp but it is not a "destination." If I were going back for another visit I would stay there again. My biggest complaint was that Houston is hot in July and most of the sites do not have shade. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

If you are going to Houston for something in the northern part of town then Central KOA is the place. There is good access to the main freeways (I-45, US-59, Hardy Toll Road and Beltway 8) but the neighborhood itself is light industrial and near enough to the airport to hear the early morning departures. The campsite is family operated by a nice couple that lives on-site and has all the usual amenities. The condition of the campsite seems to depend on whether Work Campers are currently employed or not. I’ve seen it both ways. Without the help routine housekeeping doesn’t get done. Really nice place. Very clean, mostly high end motorhomes and 5th wheels. We felt a little out of place in our dirty old Class C. VERY nice heated pool, great walking track around the man-made lake. Was a little confused as to why you couldn't walk your dog around the lake, but I know plenty of people that don't clean up their dog's poop - so I guess I get it. VERY nice outdoor kitchens with refrigerators, bar, TV, fire pit, several gas grills that anyone is free to use. The only reason why this place is not a 10 is that it was in the middle of an industrial type area right off the highway - the view was essentially giant electrical poles. Don't remember exactly what I paid, but it was about $50. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Close to MD Anderson Cancer Center and The Texas Medical Center, excellent location for those seeking treatment, with shuttle route stopping at park. Nice well maintained park and would get a higher rating if it was not so noisy and if the parking rules were enforced. Park location is bordered by two very busy highways. Additionally there are nearby cement producing businesses that has heavy duty equipment operating all night. A railroad track is nearby so you will hear trains and whistles during the night. Sites are very tight and there are many longer term residents that rent units and consequently add to the parking problems due to multiple vehicles. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Spacious RV park; easy to park. Level sites and modern hookup connectors. Large heated pool and a modern laundry. A big plus is the location of the park. It's close to attractions like the Museum of Fine Arts and in general it's easy to get into town. Only two things I disliked about that park: Some of the fitness equipment in the recreation room should be repaired or replaced and depending where your site is located it can be rather noisy due to traffic from the adjacent streets and highway. Apart from that, I would definitely stay here again. Rate reflects AAA discount. We camped here in a Truck Camper.

If there was a higher score than "10," this park would get it from us! Wide concrete roads, huge concrete slabs and beautiful landscaping make for an excellent experience! Beautifully manicured grass areas, a jogging track around the lake, lots of fish to catch and release in the lake, a laundry room like no other we've ever seen and a club house that rivals any country club are very impressive! And all of this at a reasonable price that is half of what we've paid for in other "dumpy" places. This park is "home base" for many cancer patients and others seeking long-term healthcare treatment at the many nearby major medical centers. The park has gone out of their way to accommodate those in need of special care, and they try hard to make their stays as comfortable, and reasonable, as possible. As a registered nurse, I was very impressed by the caring and sympathetic attitude of the managers and park staff. This park is a gem, and we will definitely stay here again when we return to Houston! This is truly one of the ONLY RV parks that deserves to title themselves as an "RV Resort!" We camped here in a Motorhome.

This park has it all. Concrete roads and pads, great hook ups including 50 TV cable channels. The pull through sites are crowned in the middle so you can always level and are staggered for privacy. Very clean, concrete pads, nicely landscaped, but trees too small to shade your rig. Coded access so you can come and go freely. Great service; overall very nice amenities. Relatively quiet; you will hear some highway noise from nearby 610 Loop, but if your windows are closed and air is running, you won't be bothered. Quick access to downtown and west side of Houston where the prime shopping and entertainment areas are located. We met several long timers who were staying at Lake View while receiving treatment at the medical center. One nice feature: they offer transport to the medical center. However the back-in sites around the lake and elsewhere can be blocked by parking, on the road, in front of the occupied sites, potentially making things awkward. Absolutely the BEST Luxury RV Resort we have had the pleasure to visit. Everything is sparkling clean, be it the hot tubs, pool, restrooms, dog wash station or landscaping, everything is kept beautiful. They are planning more sites, on the far side of the lake, but I hope they intend to build another comfort station there also as there is only the 1 at the entrance now. We will definitely be back. We were there for 9 days and absolutely loved it. I can not imagine what caused the reviewer above to be so displeased with Management. We found them to be very pleasant and easy to get along with. The lake, with lighted fountains is so relaxing. The pool is a virtual Oasis of Palm trees flowers and shrubs. Everything to do with the Park was first rate. The laundry and showers were immaculate. The exercise area faces the lake and makes you want to exercise. There is a beautiful brick walking path all around the Lake. They keep popcorn available most of the time. There is a great computer room with printers and fax machines at no charge. In fact, we are having difficulty being satisfied with other Parks. If you are in need of care at MD Anderson, this is the place to be. They have 8 shuttles a day. It is a great place vacations or for medical care. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The key word here is LOCATION, Location, Location. This park is close to the medical center. There are quite a few people staying here that are receiving medical treatments. There are also quite a few laborers. It’s quite expensive unless you stay a month. Long term stays require you to pay electric. We stay here because it’s convenient to the medical center and family. There are other parks but they necessitate a drive in horrendous traffic. Staff is friendly and accommodating. It’s a no nonsense park. Lots of nice amenities. We would stay again. This park is all business. Don't expect "Texan Friendly" spoken here. Your location is critical. All of the locations are expensive so make sure you avoid near the freeway or the very busy street Hiram Clark or the backside that is up against an industrial area. To avoid these, you will pay more. If you hate being "over-ruled" in a park, this place will not suit you. For example, there is grass "acceptable" for the dogs, and grass not allowed. My dog couldn't tell the difference. Cable TV is worthless. Audio was garbled. Make sure you bring your satellite set up. Pool area is nice but hot tub jets outside do not work. Showers are unavailable each evening between 9-10 PM which is the time I would think most people would want to take a shower. Be aware operations here are not for the customers convenience, but for management. The best thing about the park is the shuttle service to the medical center, but be aware it doesn't run on the weekends. If you don't need the shuttle, there are parks close by that are equally as nice and management is much more gracious. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Clean, modern park with smooth cement roads and pads. Pads are short around lake and just wide enough for our motorhome and small vehicle. Those with pickups parked in the street which narrowed roadway considerably and made it unattractive. Clubhouse was extremely nice with many amenities including computers, copy and fax machine, indoor spa, and exercise equipment. Lovely sitting areas at clubhouse and around man made lake. An oasis in a desert of industrial zoning. A beautiful well laid out CG minutes to central Houston and close to several interstates and major highways. The only complaint would be that sites are close together although all are concrete sites with excellent landscaping that ensures, even after a heavy rain, you will be able to exit your RV on a dry surface. Monthly rate. Loved this resort! Great location only minutes to Reliant Stadium and the Galleria area. Wide streets, wide sites; everything is paved with grass and picnic tables and the lake is lovely. The pull-thrus are long enough for the 45 foot bus, car trailer and SUV. The "commercial" front loading laundry is the nicest we've ever seen in a resort. AT&T and Verizon air cards work great as does Clear's Rover. Our only complaints: the clubhouse (laundry, exercise, etc) doesn't open until the office at 8 AM and the perimeter back-in sites are too small for units and tow vehicles so trucks are always in the road - no problem for the SUV but an issue for the coach. I've recently moved into Lake View and I'm very pleased. It is a gated community that is well-lit and friendly. The clubhouse, pool, playground, and showers are all very clean. At night, there are few mosquitoes, so you can sit outside and listen to the water fountains in the lake. The residents vary from snow birds, students, workers, and persons receiving treatment at nearby hospitals. Shopping and restaurants are nearby. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

May be OK for 1-2 nights. Park is ant infested and management only pays lip service to spraying. Majority of users are here for medical reasons, as am I. Their rate is high at $571/month plus 15.5 cents per kwh. The WiFi is intermittent at best and again the management does nothing to resolve the problem. The park has rental units (cottages and trailers) however some of these are ant infested. The dog run areas are very small, have no shade and, again are covered with ants. I have talked to other people staying here, and they have the same complaints. However, as I said, most of them are here for medical reasons and cannot afford the time to continually complain to the management. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Easy use hookups, level concrete pads,...the feature that turned us off was the pain of trying to come and go. This is a gated park as it should be, only thing wrong is its a pain to use. No automatic sensor to let you leave, Keypad for entry is TOO close to gate. If its raining you ARE going to get wet trying to operate the gate. Paved level pull-through spaces are a little narrow, but there is room for all slides and a place to park your vehicle. The park is secured with a gate. You are given the code when you check in. Office staff is helpful and friendly. My only complaint is that you are not allowed to walk your dog around the lake, but it was too hot to walk around the lake anyway. Easy access to the 610 highway and all parts of Houston. Reliant Field is close and Minute Maid Park is easy to get to. We will come here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed here to visit the NASA Space Center which was about 35 miles away. Nice site but we choose a pull through site and these are very narrow. With four slideouts out, it was necessary to walk on the grass to access the coach. Some noise was suffered from the adjacent industrial works and also from the highway. However, the facilities were good, clean and all working and we would stay here again. However, we would choose a back in site which were much wider. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Consider this an addendum to my April review. At the time of check-in, guests are offered the free use of a remote control device, which opens and closes the security gate. They do hold a small deposit, which is returned upon check-out. If memory serves, the amount was $35.00, regardless of the length of your stay. I didn't care for one female manager: found her to be rude and unhelpful in many situations. Her husband was okay. I did love the pool and hot tubs: wish they would keep them open daily though. We stayed here for several months. The indoor hot tub was down for repair, the outdoor hot tub was dirty alot and also down a lot for repair too. The pool is only open when the weather is warm enough to not run their bill to heat. The same with the outdoor hot tub: shut off when it's cold to save money. The whole reason I stayed here was to get in the hot tub in the winter months! When I made the reservation they told me the hot tubs were both open all year round: not true. Has a nice workout room, most of equipment worked and we liked the pool table. Don't try to use it on the weekend though as lots of people use it. The neighborhood is not nice but convenient to downtown and it is gated. But it is still easy for non-users to access. I have stayed here twice, when the hot tubs are actually on, I do enjoy it here! Managers went the extra mile to make us feel welcome and to help out when possible. We booked late when they had few openings. My only issue was that we had a forty foot back in site with a forty foot unit, and the fellow behind had gone over his back line which put us partially on the road. Luckily the park has nice wide roads which left us lots of room. The sites are well laid out with ample room to get in and out and to maneuver. Nice clean well laid out park, close to down town and perfect for our 5 days in Houston. I would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The Lakeview RV Park is new with concrete streets and pads. It has a large recreation room with computer area and Wi-Fi throughout the park. Free popcorn, exercise area, hot tub and swimming pool. The location wasn't scary to us. Easily located off of Rt 90/Main St.. The WiFi worked great and was NO CHARGE! Everything was as clean and tidy as a nice hotel! Concrete pads and roads. I almost called back and cancelled my reservation after a very arrogant man took my information, but I didn't know the options for parks in this part of Houston is limited. It turned out to be a nice, clean facility, but with a rather sterile feeling. I was concerned that the indoor spa is in the same room with the pool table, exercise equipment and meeting room. The spa has no enclosure, no fence, no gate so please be careful with small children! The park isn't in the greatest part of Houston, but it is extremely close to Reliant Stadium, which is why we chose to stay there. Very new park. Nicely laid out. Each site has cement pad for easy leveling of your RV. There is a large pond with a fountain in the center of the park. There are some seasonal sites but you really couldn't tell. The laundry facility were large and clean. While doing your laundry you can go right into the rec. room. There you are in a large room with full glass windows that face the pond/lake. It is a very nice touch. They pop free popcorn & brew free coffee, nice comfy couches, large screen TV, game tables including a pool table. They even have a cabinet full of games you can play. The hot tub is in here as well. They do not have wireless internet but with a refundable deposit they give you a modem that gives you D.S.L. This is by far one of the nicer parks we have stayed in and we stay in a lot. Only one thing to be negative about. If you are placed along the row of sites (63 - 76) you are right next the a very busy highway. The traffic noise is very loud and constant. Trucks, cars and motorcycles etc. When building the park, they should have taken this in consideration and built a wall or something to help deaden the noise. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a very nice park especially for one located so close to downtown Houston. The park owner has made every attempt to provide a safe and attractive location on the edge of a commercial area. I mention this as many of you who may be looking at this park may be concerned about its location. Safety is clearly paramount and taken seriously. During our stay we experienced a major lightning storm that damaged the security gate. While it was repaired(about two days) a security guard was stationed at the gate. We were very impressed! For those considering the park while receiving care at the nearby medical centers we found it to be less than 10 minutes each way. Several restaurants and grocery stores are available along this path. The laundry was clean and servicable and the pools appeared well kept. The only reason I did not give the park a 10 was for traffic noise. It can be loud here, however, I was placed near the highway so other areas may be quieter. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Outstanding facilities and amenities. Rate entered is monthly. Someone spent serious $$'s on this place. Friendly, helpful staff, quick to resolve any problems. Large concrete pads, with all hookups. Free DSL is a little slow (10 Mps). Cable service is OK, could use some more channels. The only negative is the area and road noise, but you can't beat the place for convenience to D/T Houston and the medical center. Fishing lake (catch & release) is a real treat. Expansion is 90% complete as we speak, adding 34 perimeter spaces. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

I'm going to go ahead and say this place was great!!! We headed for the area to visit family and quickly learned it was not only spring break but the Houston Rodeo time. So we found it hard to find an RV site anywhere near the city. We got lucky and found this place had a spot due to a cancellation. We liked it so much we decided to stay one more day for a total of 4, and walked into the office where the husband and wife team who ran it were very friendly. I still can not believe this to this day. They said to just stay the extra day at no charge: FREE! This was during the Houston Rodeo where as many as a hundred thousand visitors are in town with RVs who would have paid a hundred dollars for that site. Ok now the facilities. The lake is beautiful. The only thing I did not like was no dogs were allowed on the paved walking paths all around the lake. That is stupid since 80% of RVers take their pets with them. It did have a first class club house with games, movies, huge screen TV, soft couches, and a computer room for use: free. As far as the previous complaints about the area? It was not that bad. This place was well sealed in fences and gates. So we ended up going to the Rodeo and liked that too. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Large, giant concrete lot surrounding a square, man-made lake. Near a main road. However, this was a very nice place considering it's location. The pool was wonderful - clean, waterfall, beach-type area. The hot tub was very nice. The landscaping was beautiful, as was the club house. This was a really nice park with easy access to major Houston areas. It is right off Beltway 8 and South Main Street. We would recommend this park to travelers to the Houston area that want a very nice park in town. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Beautiful RV Park. You can tell they've sunk some $$ into the landscaping and amenities. Very nice park for kids (all fenced in), nice pool, running/walking track around lake, several very nice BBQ enclosures with grill and tables. Just a overall great RV park. Stayed here for a week for a car race at Reliant Stadium. We used the city bus to get to the stadium every day. It stops right in front of the park, and goes right by the stadium. Extremely convenient, but be aware that Houston buses aren't great about timeliness, but they do show up. The park is meticulously maintained and had the nicest utility hookups I've ever seen. Not a great neighborhood, and absolutely nothing within walking distance. But convenient access for activities in Houston. We camped here in a Motorhome.

It is a very nice park. We have to go to the Medical Center alot so this is the perfect park for us to stay in when my husband is there for tests. The place is very nice, pretty lake, we had a perfect spot right by the lake. They also have cabins there that are very nice. I will definitely stay here many more times. This is a new and very nice park. The only reasons we could not give this park a 10 are traffic and railroad noise because of it's urban location, WiFi only available in the clubhouse area, and no washing of vehicles allowed. Let me say that the park is beautiful and the owner has spent a lot of money on it. The area of town where the park is located leaves something to be desired, but it is close to the hospital district. My complaint is with the management. When I checked in, I was not told of any rules or regulations on parking. The back-in sites are rather short, so I backed in deeply with my rear stabilizer jacks on the grass. After I had gotten backed in (I was alone), leveled and was just about ready to go pick up my wife, the "manager" came by and told me I would have to pull up and get off the grass. I told him that I understood the rule, I just resented having it given to me after I had already set up. I later saw others parked on the grass and they were not made to move. I will NEVER go back to this park and cannot recommend it to anyone else. Stay Away!! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

I stayed here in this RV / Mobile home park for 3 months. It's an OK place. It's MOSTLY quiet. I did have a few problems with it tho. Loose running dogs throughout the site would often attack. I walk my small dog on a leash and had been attacked by other loose dogs 9 times. There is a specific family in the park that like to have VERY LOUD live music with mariachi bands that run late into the night. The music was so loud, almost the whole park could hear it and had to deal with it. The manager is a complete space case. Aside from being illiterate, she flakes out on everything she says. She is hardly ever on site and goes on "vacation" often. The swimming pool was mostly filthy all the time. Once the swimming pool was closed due to feces being in the pool. They also inflate your electric bill that you pay directly to them. I've never in my life had such a large electric bill in an RV. The electric bill was about the same as when I lived in my 2500 square foot HOUSE. The only nice things I can say about the park is... it is pretty. A lot of shade trees. And is mostly clean. The laundry facility was working and clean also. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Absolutely gorgeous gated resort. Everything is well maintained. Concrete streets and level concrete pads. Very nice dog walk area. Beautiful pool and hot tub. Staff very friendly and helpful. There is some noise from Hwy 1960, but no more than any city street. There is a train track close by, so some trains are heard. As stated previously, some noise from George Bush International Airport, but not bad. Convenient to downtown Houston. Non-rush hour travel time was appx 30 min. Will definitely stay here again, when in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This brand new, nicely landscaped park is loaded with amenities including a free air station for tires, a dog washing station, on site propane, laundromat, and everything else you would expect from someplace that labels itself a “resort”. We were welcomed with a reusuable grocery-style bag filled with insulated water bottles and other goodies. Sites were spacious for a commercial park and there was a large grassy field where dogs could be taken, making it very pet friendly. We had originally made reservations for one week, but seeing how nice the park was upon check-in, we paid for two weeks. However, getting around Houston with the traffic, poorly designed freeways, and narrow potholed streets was a nerve-racking experience. The park is close to public transportation into the downtown museum district; unfortunately traveling with a dog with health issues who couldn’t be left alone in the RV all day left us unable to avail ourselves of that more preferable option. After a few days, we decided we’d had it with Houston and asked if we could go back to our original reservation for a one week stay. The park has a no refunds, no exceptions policy, but after contacting the corporate headquarters, they were nice enough to issue a credit on our bank card. We suspect this was a PR move, due to being a new park, which we would not have been able to get were they more established. As long as we have a dog, we would never return to Houston, but if we ever do, this is the place we’ll stay. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a brand new park. It is beautiful. Nice concrete drive and pads. Our pad wasn't real level though. The pool is heated. The ONLY reason I give it a 9 is because of the traffic sound from Hwy 1960 and there is no ping pong (not a biggie). George Bush International Airport is close by, but the sound of the planes isn't bad at all. There is a dog washing station, which is awesome. There will be catch and release fishing, once the fish are mature. I would definitely come back here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here to go to MD Anderson Hospital. The park is 10 minutes from the medical facilities and there is a shuttle to and from many of the hospitals. The campground is clean and well kept. The staff was excellent and understanding about the uncertainty of the number of days we would need a site. They also offer a reduced rate for those staying for medical reasons. If we need to return to MDA, we will definitely stay at this campground. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Like most urban RV parks, spaces are close; however each has a small spot of grass and a good-size concrete patio plus most of the park is well shaded. Good dog park and Wi-Fi. Very convenient to Reliant Park and medical center. We left our trailer hooked up and opted to walk the mile or so to Reliant Stadium. There is a shuttle bus for the medical center. Staff was very friendly and we would came here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed here with 7 kids for 3 nights and appreciated the cleanliness, showers (individual toilet, sink, shower- like a bathroom at home) and proximity to Houston. We could be anywhere within a half hour- although any town America is just down the street (WM, Target, Liquor, Home Depot etc etc etc). Good security, easy to get in our 45' bus, but I'd recommend unhooking your towed vehicle at the office. There are no pull through sites. We'll return if in the area- although we did enjoy street camping on the weekend downtown. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We are on our second stay in this park. It is not a destination family RV park, so don't expect a club house, swing set or pool. This park has great monthly rates for folks who need to be near the excellent facilities of the Texas Medical Center Hospitals in Houston. The park provides a free shuttle to the major hospitals. The shuttle is also available to take folks shopping. The management is extremely friendly and understanding of the needs of their customers, many of whom are very ill. There are no public bathrooms or showers but there is an immaculate laundry room with ample machines and an outside drying line. $1 for washers and $1 for dryers. All of them work. The campers are also very friendly. Taking a walk through the park one meets other patients being treated at the hospitals. It's like having an instant support group. I don't know what we would have done without South Main RV Park. It is easier to deal with painful treatments when one is in one's own RV instead of a motel. We would look for a less urban setting if we were just sightseeing in the area but this is the closest RV park to the hospitals and the most accommodating. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We found this to be a very clean, secure and well run park. It is a park more geared for adults as there are none of the typical amenities that you would see at a park/resort that caters to the kids. Most of the customers are longer term guests with the management telling me that half are there to utilize the outstanding medical facilities in Houston. A daily shuttle runs from the park to six different heart and cancer clinics/hospitals. As for the layout of the park et.al. South Main is nicely landscaped with gravel pads with adjacent cement patios for every space. I did a walk around of the place. Every space has partial to full shade throughout the day due to the abundant amount of trees. The roads aren't particularly narrow but seem to be because of the requirement to park your tow vehicle/dinghy in front of your rig. We maneuvered our truck/trailer combination without any problems and the park was 95% full with most of the guests there based on the number of tow vehicles/dinghies there. Night time the park is well lighted and has a security fence with a both vehicle and pedestrian entrances. At check in you are given the pass code for access. We felt very safe and secure for the entire time we were here. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Very old park that hasn't had any updates in years. Very difficult to park as streets are narrow, plus towed vehicles are parked in front of RVs, thus if there isn't a vacant spot across from you or you aren't on in end or you have something longer than 32 feet, forget it. Also a problem with having enough room with slides. Lots of permanents. Over-priced for what is available. Really needs to be remodeled. Staff was very friendly. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Location was hard to enter from road but once in the park, there is plenty of room for big
rigs. The site we had, sloped and it was gravel, we had a difficult time getting it level, as the trailer was sinking in the gravel at critical points. Once settled, it was fine. The office was plenty friendly, provide wireless Internet from sites and also a connection for hardwire in the office for use. It is located next to 610 so noise from freeway was quite noticeable outside, inside not a problem. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We had a great stay at this Trader's Village. There are several of these flea markets/RV parks in Texas. We had just come down from the one in Dallas. The location was perfect. It was close to the city but far enough from the freeways to avoid the noise of traffic. Quiet and peaceful. Office staff was great. Wi-Fi was excellent! A nice park just off hwy 6 coming from West I-10 and easy to get to. Near multiple other major roads and near lots of groceries and shopping and eating. We've stayed here before and deliberately came back here. The rate reflects the AAA/Good Sam's discount. If you're here on the weekend, there's a huge flea market right out your window. Don't know how the noise level would be during the daytime then but we're always here at off times. This site is close to friends and relatives yet we're out of the main Houston traffic. Haven't used the pool, mini golf or other facilities but they seem clean. The tables near the clubhouse need to be clean. Birds are using them for roosting and getting out of the heat. Some shade here but it seems reserved for their long term residents. I really like that there's big trash barrels right outside our RVs every few sites so keeping the area clean is no problem. The dog walk area is not as clean as it should be but I fault the dog owners on that, not the park. There's signs and they provide waste bags to clean up so I think people need to do a better job of policing their own animal(s). We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Found it pretty much as described in previous reviews. Points of re-emphasis - staff very friendly and customer oriented, facilities very clean and well maintained. You're getting location not a lot of space here. There are some shaded spaces but looks like long term residents have them locked up. You'll have to work some getting a big rig in the first few sites of each row otherwise not a problem. Its definitely problematic if you must arrive/depart during peak market time but doable just requiring lost of patience and caution. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Located in a nice community with plenty of shopping nearby and easy access to the highways this is a great home base for visiting the Houston area. Adjacent to the Traders Village weekend flea market it is also fun to peruse the aisles of this large free to enter swap meet. Verizon Broadband REV-A signal was okay. Some interference slowed the connection a bit. No complaints here just a good inexpensive alternative for Houston. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here three days and snuck out on Sunday A:M because of traffic, would stay here again but hopefully not. Used our GS for discount. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This was a nice park with a friendly staff. It is located right next, or part of, a large flea market and is very well maintained. WIFI is available, but only through a third party service at a rate of $4.95/day. The paved and level sites are very tight and there is room for slide outs but no room to extend a canopy. There is room for parking a vehicle behind your coach. There were plenty of trash cans available and the park itself was modern and spotless. I would have rated this park better IF the RV sites were larger. I do not exaggerate when I say that when we came out of the door to our coach, it was only about 4 feet away from the extended slide out of our neighbor's coach. There does appear to be two separate RV areas at this location. We were parked in the front section and the rear section may be different. I got the impression that the rear section was more for long term campers. If you are so inclined, the flea market is within walking distance and the surrounding area appears to be a nice clean area of Houston. Besides the small sites, the bad part about this park is that it is in Houston and you have to drive through Houston's notorious highways to get there. It is not the easiest thing to do with a motorhome. If I had to be in the area, I would stay here again as it is perfectly adequate for an overnight stay. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a good choice for a west Houston base. It’s in a quiet area just west of the toll-way. If you’re there on weekends you have the bonus of the giant marketplace on site. Sites are a bit close together, but are nicely laid out. Our 50-amp utilities worked fine in our pull-through site. Rigs in this popular park are mostly newer and well kept. The laundry is convenient and inexpensive ($1 wash). There is a pool and a sketchy mini-golf course. Wi-fi is Tengo ($5/day, etc) but worked well for us. The cost, around $28 with tax for Good Sam/AAA, is reasonable for such a nice campground so close to a major city. We had some open sky to look at out the front, and there were no obstructions for our satellite. I would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Clean park for the metro Houston area. Not much area between spots, but what do you expect. I know of no other park that is easier to get to for the Houston area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Campground is a little bit noisy with a fair amount of traffic moving thorough at night. To be fair, our site was next to the entrance road to the park. Sites are very close together but was able to fit with slides out. No way to put awning out. We would stay here again if back in the area. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed here using Good Sam. We had one of the larger pull thru sites. Nice concrete pads and streets. Park is well maintained and everyone was friendly. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a clean park with very narrow sites. No clubhouse is available, and their mini market consists of a few candy bars. Staff was friendly. Most of the people in the park seem to work at the adjacent flea market on week ends. No planned activities are available. We stayed here only because of friends nearby, but I don't believe we'd return. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Good parking place. Wifi is Tengointernet, and while the signal was good, the connection was erratic. Sites are narrow, and most of the folks seem to have been around a while. Little noise, but still convenient to the freeway system. Not a destination, unless the flea market is your thing, but a good enough base for doing Houston. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This was a very nice campground. Big and rather like a parking lot but very clean. All pads were concrete and level with a strip of grass between. Bathrooms were exceptionally clean. Location was convienient to highways and stores. The campground is adjacent to and part of a large weekend flea market. Weekends get pretty crowded, but the upside is that as a registered camper you avoid the admission fee if you're into flea markets. The office personel were friendly and helpful. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a mobile home park that will rent spaces to R.V. campers. The park is fairly dated, but kept clean and the staff is excellent. Located beside Hobby Airport, its a short drive to downtown Houston and all its attractions. Will visit again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
