Tips from campers about Murchison, TX
- Kelli1970 Don't bother staying here until the new owners get things together. Apparently the reason the worker would not leave his home at 4 pm on a Saturday afternoon in August.18 hours ago Stay A While RV Park
- Yan Zhou I was told the catfish size reaches 11lb and bass is around 9lb. So, bring your fishing gears!4 months ago Stay A While RV Park
- MSHanks Tyler (to the east) has a Sam's but no Costco. There are plenty of Dollar Generals both east and west. The campground is 25 minutes from the NRVTA school. Brookshires is the local grocery store and you can find them west in Athens or east in Chandler. We found a great vet in Chandler and would recommend them. They are Chandler Veterinary Clinic. This campground has a dog park but we did not use it. The hike around the pond was a great plus to this park. The permanent residents keep to themselves and keep their sites somewhat clean. We did not leave anything outside except for our chairs but that's because Blackstone grills and eBikes can walk off anywhere. We felt safe here. We made new friends and the staff was always kind. During below freezing temps we never lost power or water. We do use a heated hose but their water spigots are insulated.4 years ago Stay A While RV Park
