I would rank this park higher if the sites had sewer hook ups. Other wise it is darn near perfect. Beautiful, large sites and lovely lake views. Only downside is the lack of a dock at the boat ramps. They definitely need one. We will definitely return again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This is a nice quiet COE park on the lake. It is clean and well taken care of. The sites are large and well spaced. It should be on anyone's list that wants to camp in the area. We would camp here again. Access was easy. We camped here in a Motorhome.
They keep raising the rates because "they can", because it is a popular COE campground on Lake Sam Rayburn. Many senior pass holders camp here and I think they are finding they have to raise the rates in order to pay for their 2 campground hosts. It is a great campground, surrounded on 3 sides by water, and the boat ramps are nice and bathrooms are always clean. Out of the 2 campground hosts, I only see one (a lady) doing all the work. She's friendly and helpful and hard working. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This park is remote, quiet, beautiful, clean and well maintained. The roads and sites are paved and level. The restroom and shower facility is brand new and clean. The swimming area is not designated as the waterfront is all proctected by boulders but near site 44 is a concrete path over the boulders that goes down to the water and the lake bottom looks sandy. Rayburn Park has a dump station, three boat ramps and a new playground for the kids. The campground is well shaded by tall pine trees and the breeze coming in across the lake is cooling. We camped here in a Motorhome.
