The only thing this park has as a positive is the Frio River. No one actively works the office, nor returns phone calls, so if you want to go, be persistent. The river was great once you got there, but the access is even pretty rustic from the RV Park. They do have fire rings at each site, but the sites were not level. The park is a gravel parking lot, and difficult to traverse, as the sites were mostly close together. They also charge an extra $3 per person after the first 2, so we paid $9 a night more for our three kids. We thought that was outrageously high rate when there are no activities. Luckily, we have a Texas State Park Pass and went to Garner State Park each day for activities. We'll certainly look for an alternative before returning here. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
