This is the second time we stayed here. The owner is very helpful and friendly . If you like to fish for bass this is the place: catch and release only. They don't have public bathrooms or showers yet, but they are in the plans for the future. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This was a brand new park when we visited . We came for a week and for $225 we stayed for the month. They have a great fishing pond stocked with bass, perch, and catfish; catch and release only. They have stores nearby and laundry a quarter mile down the road. Owners are very friendly and great helping the kids fish. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We stayed 7 nights: but mainly just needed somewhere to sleep. We spent our days visiting family. Good place to spend the night, but no pool or amenities. Park has gravel lots and is convenient to I-10 east of San Antonio. Manager and staff are very friendly. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Good overnight spot-NOT a resort. We stayed here one night in order to get through San Antonio on a Sunday morning. Only 3 sites for overnighters, the rest seem to be permanent residents. Not a fancy place, but will suffice for short stays. Everyone was very nice and easy going. You will be greeted by the resident flock of guinea hens when you pull in, but they stay near the office. Our site wasn't very level, although others looked ok. We pull a 37' fifth wheel and had plenty of space. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
The owners of this park are very nice and helpful. Park is very neat and is fairly new with young landscaping. D & A is about 5 miles west of town on frontage road. It is near the interstate, but the noise is not oppresive. Inexpensive weekly and monthly rates. It is close enough to San Antonio to be a good place to stay while visiting the area. We would stay there again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Park owners are very helpful and friendly. The main problem with this park is that there are too many junky permanent residents. The marina is really just a beer joint for the locals as it sits in a neighborhood, but it was very clean and newly constructed. The owner cooks up a really great cheeseburger! There were some intoxicated troublemakers swimming and drinking with loud music next door, but they finally went away at dusk. Not sure that they were residents. The grounds are shady and beautiful and the owners are working hard, but they need to get rid of the rowdy alcohol crowd and create a more mainstream RV park atmosphere if this is their intention. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
The owners were very friendly. With that said: the bar on the property can be very noisy, with intoxicated people roaming about. I fished quite a lot and never had a bite. Would be an alright overnight stop if you could get near the water and away from the bar. We camped here in a Motorhome.
A beautiful park with lots of shade. Our site was just long enough to leave the truck hooked up since we were only staying one night. The employee was very friendly and mentioned that the recreation building/bathhouse was new, but we did not go in. This park is about 4 miles off of the interstate, but worth it for the shade! You pass a Wal-Mart and lots of shopping areas, so very convenient in that regard. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
We really enjoyed the park, well shaded, and comfortable. We stayed two nights for the weekend. We were in sites 9 and 10, close to the river, but no easy access to the river and when we were able to get in the water, there was not really a place for the kids to play in the water. The two sites were great for our two trailers and we really enjoyed sitting around and visiting in the park. The park was full, but not crowded and people were out at their trailers and social. It was a very comfortable park, we would stay here again if in the Seguin area. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
We used this park for an overnight stop off of IH-10 near San Antonio. We called ahead from the road and requested a spot. Since we were arriving late, the very friendly manager told us to just pick a spot upon arrival and settle the bill in the morning. We parked in a long pull through site that did not require us to unhook the toad from our motorhome. The electrical box looked old and only had a 30 amp connection, but it checked out okay and provided sufficient power for our overnight stay. The free cable TV worked great and had many channels to select from. The park appears to have several permanent residents, some with pretty old travel trailers. The park was nicely situated along the river and had many shade trees. We would stay here again for a quick stop while traveling. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We enjoyed our stay at River Shade RV park, we stayed on the sites next to the river. The river sites are the best ones, #7, 8, 9 and 10 are the best ones. We stayed at the park for 1 week and we enjoyed it. It was a little crowded since there are several people that already have their residence there. Over all I would definitely go back again. There is also a Wave pool close to the area of the park and all the groceries stores and shopping centers have easily access. I would recommend this park. Fishing is not very good but if you have a jet-ski or boat it is highly recommended. Enjoy. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
This is a very senic campground on the river. Pull-throughs were narrow and a bit of a challenge to maneuver. We only had an overnight stop, and did not become very familiar the CG. Neighboring resident in 5er stated they had been here for several months and they thought very highly of the CG and people, and also said this CG was the nicest in Sequin area. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Other reviewer said it all pretty well. Nice size pull-thru sites and river is beautiful. I did not find the office staff very friendly, though. Also the clubhouse is permanently locked so it cannot be used! Interior roads are stone of various sizes and not well maintained. A lot of permanent residents in old TT's. Quite a few kids and dogs, but it was quiet at night. Would stay here again, but not for more than a week. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This is a quiet park located on the Guadalupe River just south of Seguin. Many permanent residents, but lots of room for visitors. Sites are reasonably level gravel with a concrete patio pad. Cable TV has all the usual channels and is free. WiFi is also free, but sporadic depending on where you are in the park. Rate reflects a very reasonable monthly rate plus electric. Friendly office and residents, but no community activities. Functional laundry room and clean restrooms. Shopping and restaurants, including a Super Wal-Mart, is only one mile up the road. The river is peaceful and has lots of ducks to feed; we'll stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
