Tips from campers about Von Ormy, TX
- Smokey_Joe The Alamo in San Antonio was a surprisingly nice attraction. We purchased the guided tour and she was awesome. I especially liked the fact they handed out early pieces to hear her better with. Another really nice take was the river walk. Lots of restaurants along the river and again we took the boat tour which we enjoyed.3 months ago Hidden Valley RV Park
- peco It a fairly short ride to the Alamo and the Natural Bridge Caverns and we recommend both.4 months ago Hidden Valley RV Park
- AMacN Great ranger-led tour of San Antonio Missions NHP at Mission San Jos by Ranger Kat - highly recommend. And we enjoyed walking 12 miles of trails to Mission San Juan and Mission Espada, and seeing the dam, aqueduct and irrigation ditches built by Franciscans and indigenous people. The Pearl district has nice vibe, families using community spaces, with lots of restaurants and music. We enjoyed good live music and food at Jazz, TX. We parked at Convention Center Garage on E Commerce St for $10 daily to access River Walk and The Alamo. Lunch at Pinkerton Barbeque was delicious but expensive. You stand in line to order and pay by the pound. We had beef rib, brisket and jalapeo sausage with jambalaya and coleslaw. We had leftovers to go. All good.4 months ago Hidden Valley RV Park
