I did not see this in any previous reviews therefore it might be a recent change. This park is now part of the Coast to Coast RV Resorts. Which is basically a time share for RVs. To become a member of a "home park" like this one costs between $3000 to $6000, depending on the park; plus a $200 to $600 annual fee, again depending on the park; plus $79.95 for "classic", or $149.95 for "deluxe", or $189.95 for "gold" membership per year to Coast to Coast. Membership entitles you to stay at your home or other member parks at discount, which in my opinion, given the max length of stay requirements (7 days) the upfront fees and annual fees, you will likely not live long enough to break even. Nowhere is any of this mentioned on the parks website. They do allow non-members to stay at the published rate but you are required to hear the 60 to 90 minute "pitch" as to the benefits of membership. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Some of the interior roads are bad but, the weather has been incredibly bad. The staff was very friendly and there were lots of activities. We stayed here with Resorts of Distinction membership. We would definitely stay again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This campground had a friendly staff: very helpful. Nice clean grounds. Bath house was nice and clean. Park has some concrete pads and some are gravel. Lots of nice shade trees. Beautiful olympic-size pool with twin water slides. Very family friendly park! We will visit this park again and often. We camped here in a Motorhome.

My husband, me, and my two kids came out to fish from the boat. The fishing was excellent. The kids love the water slides. The staff was very friendly. We plan to visit again soon. The park was well maintained and clean. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Sites were not level, with very little grass, if any. They are not well maintained. There were tall trees but rooftop TV did work. The office sent us to site that was occupied. Next best site had tree in front of it across the road making backing 37' Fifth Wheel in difficult. Only stayed as it was free ROD park, we will only stay for 2 or 3 days max. Not a destination park. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

The layout of the park is quite confusing - utilities are all over the place and don't make any sense. People plug in all over and the office won't correct it. There was considerable damage done during Hurricane Ike that they are slowly cleaning up - - lots of mud moved down the hills and they lost several trees. Since we stayed under ROD it was $0/night for us - otherwise we wouldn't stay. Lots and Lots of permanent residents and some rigs really look pretty bad. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The roads were full of potholes and the sites unlevel. Needs a lot of work done, but could be a nice park. They are building Condos next to the park and seem to take more interest in them than the R.V. park. You have to pay for wifi through Tengo and it didn't work most of the time. Some said it worked if you were close to the office. They had a lot of activities. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We enjoyed our time here. However, this is an older park that has not been kept up as we would have desired. You have to spend quite a bit of time to find a site large enough and level enough to handle your rig. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a members only park. Since we're not members, we were required to sit in on an hour-long presentations which lasted almost two. We're new to RV'ing, we usually take weekend trips within an hour or so from home. Because my husband's work situation has very recently changed, we may not be able to use out RV much for the next 12-18 months. It is not a good idea for us to buy a membership in the near future, if at all. The first gentleman was very nice, trying to sell us on the time-share and giving us a tour. When the second gentleman approached us, we told him our situation. He asked if we would be purchasing a membership. When we said no, again, he said, VERY RUDELY, " Thanks for coming and you can't come back". There was no reason for him to be rude to us. We had already decided that even if it weren't a members-only park, we would not return. It was a big disappointment from the photos on their website. The "sandy beach area" is non-existent. The gentleman told me that the photo on the website is from "20 years ago" and they plan on getting it back to look like that. We were told they are new owners and they have huge plans on upgrading this park. If they do what they say, it will be a very nice place to stay. The basketball court and the RV sites are in disrepair. The first couple of sites we tried to park at were too high and the bottom of our RV was scraping. There was no way we could park there. The electricity didn't work at the site next to the one where we finally parked. If you plan on staying here, make sure you have a very long sewer hose. We were told that the playground equipment was recently put in. I DO NOT believe that for a second. My daughter & I played on it today and it's in good shape but by no means is it nearly new. When I called to make reservations, I asked if they had wi-fi or cable. They said no. The gentleman today said their wi-fi is down but they have it. The restrooms are clean and recently renovated. There is A/C in the laundry room. The park is very wooded with a pretty view of the lake through the trees. Canoe rentals are $25/half day and $35/full day. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Camp has 2 sections - one shaded, one not. Shaded sites were crammed together, VERY small sites. Roads not maintained or paved. Also the sites were not level. Bathrooms poorly placed and still under construction. Picnic tables there, no fire rings. We did have nice view of lake, and there were lots of trees. Dumpsters not very conveniently located. This will no longer be a public park as of Jan 2007. Memberships for sale. I would not return. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We really enjoyed the quiet this park provides. The park itself needs a lot of TLC and seems to suffer erosion problems from summer rains. We would definitely come back to this park. No free WiFi. The park is in two sections, one without trees and one with a lot of trees. There were 2 dumpsters but as far away from the sites that they could be placed. Bring your leveling blocks, long water hoses and long power cables. The park appeared to be full while we were here. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Agree with previous reviewer's comments. We were supposed to pay, but a dollar less. No big deal, but this place is in such disrepair that we wouldn't return here at any price. This is our third member park since we bought our membership, and we're beginning to wonder whether we've made a costly mistake. It's a shame, too, since there is potential here. It needs lots of attention, though, and personally, we'd prefer a fenced dog park to a church service and "No Alcohol in the Clubhouse" signs. If that's for you, just be sure to bring a circuit breaker and lots of extensions for wires and hoses. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is an older membership park. We camped here through Western Horizon and were surprised when we were required to pay $5 a day (our membership provides free camping at Western Horizon parks). This is an affiliate park for WH but WH doesn't list this in their web site or notify you when making reservations. WH's fault, not the CG. Roads were full of ruts and sites are not arranged properly. Need to make sure you have plenty of electric cord and water hose. Sewer connections at each site but water and electric are shared by three sites so it can be a reach to those. When checking in, we were told to just go find a site with no campground map or instructions. If this park wants longer stays, they need to do a lot of work. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a large ( 202 sites ) park with a nice pool and friendly people. They keep the grounds well mowed but their one male and one female bathhouse was marginal as they had a renovation sign up on both sides of the one house. Also the bath house and the one set of dumpsters were a lengthy hike from most (ours included ) sites. Lake Conroe was WAY WAY down so there was no beach and boat launching unless you wanted to wade through the weeds. Their boat dock was an eyesore but the low lake levels is nothing they can control. Nice pool, fair miniature golf and tennis courts but a good stopover park enroute to a destination. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here with our 3 children. The park is an older park, however they are in the renovation process. Once they have renovated, it will be nice. The lake is down, so there's no fishing hardly. The best thing about the park is the swimming pool, it's pretty big and has 2 water slides the kids love. They do serve breakfast and dinner for a cost of $5 - $8. It's pretty good. Once they are finished it will be a great place to stay. The park is very little, miniature golf is so-so. Overall a good place to stay with bored children! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Swimming pool was clean and had two water slides (kids loved it). Interior roads were badly maintained (washed out gravel) and very narrow making quite a few sites inaccessible with our 38' 5er. The camp sites were not level and the connections (water, sewer and electric) were awkwardly placed creating a long run for hoses and cords. There were quite a few full time trailers that were in bad need of repair, washing and general site cleanup; looked like they had been sitting there for a number of years. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

An older park that is undergoing some expansion. The shaded sites are in the older part and some can handle the larger rigs, but is a bit tight. The open area and the newer sites, when finished, are very accessible to the larger Class A's and 5th wheels. It rained the time I was there and didn't get to use the facilities, such as miniture golf and swimming pool, but they are available. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

What a nice place! We enjoyed the preserve and will be back. It was a bit cool for the pool, but it is quite inviting as was the hot tub. The roads are in need of repair, and the site we were in wasn't quite level, but it wasn't real bad and our leveling blocks were sufficient. We recommend this preserve. This is the worst Thousand Trails we've visited since 2000. Roads are horribly maintained: huge ruts, cracked asphalt. Site was very unlevel, forcing us to use 5 jack pads on one side. We were parked on a site in front of Bass Lake - nice location, but poor site. It flooded during the rain storm Sunday. The water was shut down without warning and remained off for a long while. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We are TT member, so were staying on per-paid nights. Very nice park. Friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful sunsets over Lake Conroe. We stayed in Site E-17 for 2 weeks. Very nice, big lot. In that section backs to trees and is very quiet. Verizon coverage 2-3 bars of 5. Recycling for aluminum cans only, no plastic recycle = disappointment. Nice and clean pool. Showers 7 of 10. We would return. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

The rate reflects our membership dues . We have camped here before and the only improvements we could see that they have made are 50 amp sites. There are so many now that it's hard to find a site that you don't have to pay extra for. In the area with the 30 amp sites the roads were full of potholes and the sites were full of ruts. The roads in this park are TERRIBLE, no maintenance in quite a long time. The restrooms and showers are clean but well used, show age. Sites are showing age and no repair of sites. It is quiet here and shopping is close by. The lake is way down and no fishing or boating is going on. Rate guessed on membership. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Rate reflects calculated cost of membership in Thousand Trails. This is a large, quiet campground that shows average maintenance effort on utilities, grounds, buildings, etc. It is gated and secure. The sites are spacious (except for pull-through, shared services) but "lumpy." On the positive side: you can just keep moving forward/back and side-to-side and you are pretty certain to get perfectly level. (Grin). Bad interior roads; some broken pavement, some gravel. Absolutely and without a doubt the WORST Wi-Fi I have ever seen: a strong signal but little/no internet access; with 5 bars I was able to connect maybe one time in twenty tries, then stay up for no more than a few seconds. When I asked park staff about the quality of the Wi-Fi their answer was: "Yes, it is bad. No, we are not working to make it any better." We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is an older Thousand Trails park that needs some work on the roads and some of the campsites. Heavy units have caused large pot holes in both. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The Nitty Gritty first. Interior roads suck and some are really rough. "A" & "E" sections have the 50 AMP hookups and "E" section roads are in the best condition. These sections are back in sites but loads of room to maneuver. If you pick a site with 30/50 hookup you pay for the 50 ($3 PER NIGHT) whether you use it or not. Spring has sprung in east Texas and the trees are starting to leaf out and shade is welcome during the day. The only reason we don't give this a higher rating is the condition of the roads. This park puts on a real family program, as shown during spring break week, and our stay here was capped by a visit/performance by Sarah Getto, excellent!! Conroe has the best shopping A to Z and HEB grocery is only about 2.5 miles away on TX-75. The restrooms and showers are spotless, the manager and staff here are great folks, the laundry facilities are cleaner than most but over used so you have to wait for a turn. The beach is okay, the mooring and boat ramp in good condition but we didn't hear anyone talking about fish they may have caught. We spent two weeks here and it was relaxing and restful. We would come back here if our travels every take us back through south and east Texas. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

There are three buildings containing common areas. The welcome center being the first left on the way into the park. The activity center housing the store, laundry, and large rec room. The family center which is actually the chapel, an adult lounge with pool tables, and a fitness center. The park in general is in need of repair, but is in better condition than many in the Thousand Trails parks we have seen, with the exception of three Florida parks which are in great shape. There is free wireless internet that can be accessed from the activity center and your RV if you are in the sites close to the club house. We have enjoyed our visit here and would definitely return. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We enjoyed the 8 nights we spent in this park. The roads are in bad shape and you really have to take it slow. We kayaked from the boat ramp and enjoyed the lake. The pool is large and very nice. Open til 11:00pm and mostly adults in the late evening. Our site was level enough and the grass around it was mowed. The activity center is well stocked with games etc. The park is close to restaurants and shopping. We will definitely come back. The reason for the 8 is the roads and many of the sites were not well maintained. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

The staff was friendly. The rate was $0.00 for TT members. We had a pull through site with 50 amp. It was paved, but not in good shape. We did not pay extra for electric as this is one of the few "older" sites w/50amp. It was a side by side site and thankfully no one was on either side of us. It was fairly level. The side by sides could be very close if you both have slide outs. We had a picnic table. The roads need a lot of work. Many, many activities. Our Verizon cell phone and aircard worked great. We had many over the air TV stations, as there is no cable TV. Not much shade. There are 2 small laundry rooms. The grass was well mowed. There is a boat dock on the lake. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

When we camped here, it rained much of the time and all the camp sites were very muddy. Our RV sank 5 or 6 inches into the mud and others were deeper, since the gravel on the sites is much too thin. Sites are not level and the pull through sites were very narrow with slide-outs right up next to the neighbors. The roads are bad, too. Wi-Fi was too weak to use. Staff was friendly, but not especially helpful. Park is secluded and quiet. Warning: after we checked in we discovered there is a $30 per day charge to leave your camper here unattended! We intended to make a few overnight trips in the car during the two weeks we were there, but decided against it. We will not go back. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We have been coming here at least once a year for several years, we were here in Dec. 2009 and are returning in March 2010. According to the TT web site, work has begun since Dec. on road improvement. It's about time! The roads were terrible. The pull-through sites are also in need of major work. 50 amp service electric, costs $3 extra a day for new 50 amp sites, no charge for the few older 50 amp sites. We are TT members, so no charge unless we get a new 50amp site. A good huge field for pet walking behind the activity center. Wi-Fi at the camp site is provided. However, you need to be in sight of a tower to hold a signal. The system is not really adequate for the number of sites it is serving. If very many are on line at the same time, you will have problems holding a signal. They are long term leasing too many (prime) RV sites. Also they have replaced a lot of RV sites with permanent park units that are being sold for essentially full time occupancy. It is located within minutes of Willis and Conroe. Several flea markets and thrift stores are in a reasonable distance if you enjoy that sort of activity. Many of the Tombal antique shops have gone out of business. Huntsville has some nice antique shops and it's not far away. Houston is easily within driving distance for all sorts of activities. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We used our Thousand Trails membership. We were in site A11 with 50 amp and a table, on gravel, grass otherwise. It had just rained and there was standing water at the electrical box plus along the site. We have good telephone and internet. The Wi-Fi is slow. The paved roads are coming apart so there are holes and bumps. Otherwise, it's a good park and one we will return to. Personnel are friendly and helpful. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We fell in love with this fabulous resort. The staff was fabulous and went well out of their way to make our stay even better. The lake is just beautiful. Our site was not the most level, but it was right on one of the smaller lakes, so it was worth it. We played pickle ball while here and enjoyed the court they had set up for it. Very close to everything you need and close enough to enjoy all that Houston has to offer. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We camped here in section A using our Thousand Trails membership. We had 50 amp, water, sewer, a table and fire ring. Our site was new and was large. As with all Thousand Trails parks we've been to, we've been very happy. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Gravel, grass & dirt large sites. Typical TTN RV park, needs work on internal roads and leveling of sites. Handy to Lake area and Houston. Nightly rate a guess as we are TTN members We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for 3 months so rate reflects monthly rate. Beautiful secluded area but close to major highway. Most residents were snowbirds and already had reserved spaces so had to move around some. Very friendly people and staff. Laundry room only has 2 washers and dryers so are usually full. Nice walking trail and ducks. Pleasant place to get away from all the Houston noise. Wi-fi is very spotty; ended up just getting our own connection. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice clean park with very friendly staff. We can't rate it a 10 because of the gravel sites, no swimming pool, and it needed lawn care the day we were there. We enjoyed Omega Farms RV Retreat, The owners and staff are very polite and want your stay to be the best! The park is extremely clean. WiFi works well. We stayed near the large pond and enjoyed fishing off the dock. This is a catch and release pond. There are also paddle boats available at no charge. The path that circles around the pond and through the park is a great way to exercise and walk the dogs. We would recommend staying at this RV park! We will be back! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Omega Farms is a beautiful well kept park and we were lucky enough to be parked by the lake which was great bass fishing off the dock! The path around the lake was easy to walk on. The people were friendly and we were close to family members that we were visiting. We would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We spent Easter weekend at Omega Farms and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our site was a little unlevel, but it was fine overall. Everyone was extremely friendly, and the park was beautiful! The kids loved fishing in the pond, walking on the nature trail, and catching caterpillars and snails. We will definitely stay here again. The kids can't wait until the slide and sandbox are finished! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is a beautiful campground with very friendly and helpful owners and hosts. Sites were level, spacious, easily accessed and mostly dry in a very rainy season. Owners keep the sites in great shape and offer many extras. We were here over the holidays, and the Christmas decorations were beautiful. They even had a huge display of fireworks over the pond on New Years Eve! The resident goose is fun to see. Laundry was very clean, everything well kept. We couldn't get TV from our antenna, probably because the park is surrounded by trees, but that's the only negative. We would definitely return if we are in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

A beautiful, peaceful and well maintained park. The owners are helpful, friendly and pay unbelievable attention to detail. It appears as if the longer term guests are concentrated toward the rear of the park while the more short term visitors get the more desirable spots toward the front. I would give this park a 10 if they had cable tv and a pool. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This campground is in a lovely setting in a rural very quiet location. The owners were very helpful and friendly. The sites are all gravel. Some sites did have concrete patios. Our site and the ones on either side of us were much too close together. We parked in the middle of our site and our neighbors had no space for their picnic table and chairs. With the gravel sites and roads there was a real dust issue every time someone drove by even if driving very slow. We would stay there again but with some hesitancy. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Park is 1 mile easy on/off of interstate. Very clean and well kept. Spaces are far enough apart as not to feel crowded. Water pressure was good and electricity voltage did not drop in late afternoon when all A/Cs were on. Has lake and paddle boat. Fishing is allowed but catch and release only. Honors most discounts. We used Passport America. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Disappointed after seeing website. Sites are small. Mostly permanent residents with cluttered sites. Camp bathrooms have no paper products or light bulbs.They should board them shut if they aren't going to clean them and make them of use. Seems more like a trailer park than campground as campers don't go walking and visiting like in most campgrounds. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Super location on Lake Conroe, the staff was outstanding and the park is very clean. We had a little pier right behind our RV. We caught seven nice size catfish, had a fish fry and a very relaxing 3 days. This was our third trip to Park on the Lake and loved every second of it We camped here in a Motorhome.

It appears as if most of the guests were semi-permanent so most of the sites were cluttered. The sites were small, crowded, and I would not stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Rates are based on Passport America. We have stayed at this campground twice. The first in a 5th wheel, and the last in a motor home. The staff are very pleasant, as is the owner. The campground is well maintained as is the dog run. The map on the web site "parkonthelake" shows piers along the canals. The canals lead out past the little island to Lake Conroe. Fishing is allowed anywhere along the banks and on the piers. There is a boat ramp for guests. The pull through sites are close together and do not have shade trees. The back-in sites do have shade trees, minus one that came down in front of our car during hurricane Ike, and a few others throughout the park. It is a very relaxing environment. We will stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This was our very first trip in our new RV. It was a very nice, relaxing weekend. This park has a clean swimming pool and a tent camping area. This is not exactly on the large part of Lake Conroe, but more like a little inlet. We backed in to our site and just a few feet behind out site, we were able to sit in the shade and fish. We didn't catch anything worth keeping but it was convenient and quiet. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

The park is not on the lake. There is a canal that leads from several of the campsites to the lake, but the lake is extremely low, and it's very difficult to get there. Besides, most of the premium spots on the water are taken by permanent and/or seasonal residents. Park could use more garbage dumpsters, as they were always full and not very conveniently located. We did find the hot tub and swimming pool clean and very inviting. The staff was also very friendly and helpful. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Very friendly staff welcomed us for a great week of fishing. It was extremely peaceful with lots of bird life, including ducks, egrets, swans and so on. We were able to dock our boat behind our site, although most sites were set up so that docks were not necessary. The sites are large with very level pads and leveling wasn't any problem. The pool and spa were always immaculate and the staff made sure we, as older folks, had a peaceful time here, even though children were always welcome. We are definitely making this a park that we will return too, every time we come to Texas. Sincerely! We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a beautiful park on Lake Conroe. The grounds are well kept, and there are nice amenities like trash pickup and cable TV. When I called for a reservation, they asked me to fill out a questionnaire with certain information so that we could be screened prior to coming in. Once there, we had to sign indicating that we accepted their rules. Once we got there, we saw that about 3/4 of the park is rented out long-term. Half of these are local workers, and the other half are rented to local homeowners, who show up on weekends and holidays. Most of the long-term people have built wooden porches next to their rigs. There are no planned activities, so the park is quiet during the day when everyone is at work. There were only a few traveling RVers, so socializing opportunities are limited. The office staff is very friendly and helpful. Our site seemed to be plagued with those wonderful Texas fire ants. Management was quick to respond to treat these areas, but they kept reappearing. The pool and hot tubs were not heated, and appeared cloudy at times. We probably would not stay here again unless we were traveling with friends so we could have some company. Oh, and the 'rules' are pretty much ignored if you are a long term renter. The nightly rate reflects the prorated monthly rate. Electricity is extra at $0.15/kWh. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We LOVE this park. Right on the shores of Lake Conroe, with beautiful trees. Nice swimming pool; boat launch area. If you stay a month in one of the lake shore sites, gets kind of pricey. But, well worth it; this place is GORGEOUS. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a very nice park located on Lake Conroe. They have a very nice swimming pool including a childrens wading pool and a separate hot tub/spa. There are two boat ramps for launching your boat. We purchased a pedal boat for "cruising" around the lake. There are also lots of activities and points of interest outside the park. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
