If you can get one of the 20 sites that are on the lake, this is a great place. The ranking is based on having one of these sites. The campground is on the eastern edge of Waitts Lake just west of tiny Valley, WA... approximately 45 miles north of Spokane, WA. It is a beautiful lake of about 450 acres. Fishing and relaxing are the main activities. Scenery is spectacular. This is a very old resort... and accordingly it possesses that kind of 'character'. Facilities are complete, but not updated. The benefit is that this undoubtedly helps keep the cost down. $31 per night for a lakeside site is pretty amazing. Driving into the resort the first time can be concerning. The route is well marked with signs. The entrance to the park is a half mile single lane off of the main road, through cabins. It can get tight for big rigs, but rest assured that 40+ footers have made the trip. If you are a boater, the resort possesses a very decent launch ramp. Additionally, there are 5 docks at the park for fishing and mooring your boat (minimal extra cost for mooring). There is a nice swimming beach appropriately roped off. Pontoon, row boats, canoes, and kayaks can be rented. The camp store is adequately stocked with food and fishing gear. There are a lot of permanent campers here. But, surprisingly, none on the spots that are along the lake. Not sure if that is the policy of the campground, but it makes it nice for roaming RVers. Another RV park on the lake, Silver Beach Resort, looks to cater to the permanent camper, but may have some sights available to those passing through. Sites are pretty tight. With an awning out, there is about 4' of room between you and your neighbor, less if your neighbor has slides. A nice benefit if you are traveling with another RV is that the sites do offer the flexibility of door to door parking. We'll camp here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
