The driveway leading up to KOA is steep, winding, and not well marked. There is a second even steeper drive which can be taken but not recommended. We were not sure where to check in but managed to find the right spot, the same spot to register for the hotel. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Our site was easy to find, a large level gravel area, a concrete deck with a table. I had no trouble parking and getting set up in a quiet location. The campground is built into a wooded valley with sites in the valley and up on the hills behind the Days Inn. The bathrooms are spotless but lacking in quantity, 2 showers and limited toilets, this is the only real minus. I would stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed here overnight on our way east. I called ahead to get a pull through site as we would be arriving late and we were 40ft with a jeep in tow. Upon arrival at 10 pm, we were told they had over-booked. They had one pull through left which we took (considering the time). We were not able to level correctly but made do. Otherwise, this campground is o.k. It is close to the interstate and easy to get to. We would stay here again, but I would want a guarantee for a better site. We camped here in a Motorhome.

There are Pro's and Con's to this one. Easy access off I-79 and for people traveling there is not much in the way of easy offs from Charleston to Clarksburg for big rigs, unless you are willing to search and find some of the COE's. The COE's are still a ways off the interstate. That said, I feel its over priced for amenities offered. No tv at all, even the digital couldn't pick up anything. The pools in the Days Hotel were available to campers, but we found it a bit awkward and didn't take advantage of that. There is no security and we noticed a few cars roaming through after dark which might make some a bit nervous. The site also took 2 levels to level it out and we were still to low in the front with our jacks completely extended. The amphitheater is nice, we came here for the Aaron Schust concert. They have several different artists throughout the year and its right in the middle of the campground just so you know, that doesn't bother us. It might bother some on a Saturday after traveling all day. They seem to end early enough though in the evening. The wi-fi did work for us with no issues. Sounds like a dreadful review, but really not that bad. We would probably look elsewhere if staying again, maybe SJ state park, with full hook ups, the problem there is no chance for a traveler or over night as they book solid through the season. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
