This place has the appearance of a dump. The owners need to put some TLC into it. We drove through it and decided we didn't feel like staying here. We went down the road to another campground. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This is a very nice spot for an overnight or a couple of days. The pool is closed and there is some noise of people leaving early in the morning to go to work; around 5:30 am; there are a number of what looks like semi-permanent spots. However, the bathrooms are clean, the laundry is clean and reasonably priced, sites are level and easy to get into and the owners are great. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
An older park with many permanent residents, but everyone we met or spoke with was friendly. The owners are very nice people and very helpful. The pool was not available when we were there, due to a leak needing repair. There are many deer about 100-ft from our rig every evening at dusk. That was nice to see. We will definitely stay again if we're in the area. The location was great for our needs. It is only a few miles from I-90 & I-25 Junction We camped here in a Motorhome.
Great place to get plenty of rest. Watch for the deer in the evening. Owner runs hunting trips in the nearby big horn mountains and keeps a string of pack mules. Very interesting people to talk with and very helpful on advice of where to go and what to see. Had lunch at close down town place called "The Dash In". Excellent fried chicken and buffalo burgers. We will be sure to stop here again if ever in this area area. Beautiful drive over the Big Horn Mountains towards Yellowstone along highway 16. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Owners are super-nice and helpful people. Park is close to town on US-16 but several miles from the interstates, so there is no highway noise. The view of the Big Horn foothills is lovely, and deer wandered through the property in the evening. Pull-throughs are long, grassy, and adequately wide; ours was very level. We had no problems at all with our satellite internet system. The web site photos don't show that part of the park is also a mobile home court with 20 or so somewhat ramshackle-looking single-wides. Noise from the permanent residents' vehicles leaving for work woke us up every morning. Park was quiet and peaceful otherwise. I wouldn't use this as a destination park, but it's serviceable enough if you aren't looking for anything especially pretty or fancy. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
It was hard to judge the rating as we arrived 3 days before they closed. We were only here for an overnight and they were in the process of shutting everything down. We did get a couple of deer along with their twins passing through the park next to our rig. We heard turkeys but didn't see any. One nice feature is they escort you to your site. We had a nice long pull-through with plenty of room for our tow in the back. We will stay here again if we're ever in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This campground is close to Highway 16, and is composed of regular sites plus additional smaller sites in a separate well-shaded area. Wildlife is nearby: deer and wild turkeys wandered through the campground edges. There is a grass walking path available. Campground is close to Buffalo amenities. Most pull-through sites were fairly level and on gravel pads. This is a well-kept older campground but needs continued modernization. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a very nice, shaded, quiet campground. We had a pull-in site with a lot of trees and grass. Internet service is great. Pool and hot tub, but the pool was a bit chilly. Easy access to I-90. Good cable TV for the kids. A little buggy because the campground is next to a pasture, but overall a great night here. We stayed here one night, and paid $40. I would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
A well maintained campground and if possible ask for site #42 if you have a large RV. A bit overpriced. We were here for the county rodeo. We camped here in a Motorhome.
The campground is showing its age, but generally well maintained and clean. Looks like an old KOA campground. Staff very friendly and helpful. We were lucky to have a pull-through site and there was only just enough room (not many pull throughs available). No views from this campground but located near to town. We cycled the local trail which was nice. Would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Great park for an overnight stay in between Yellowstone and Mount Rushmore. Level site. Quiet campground. Be sure to call for directions...do not follow your GPS!! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Nice park. The area is very dusty so the coach got very dusty. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Overall, this park is one of the better ones in this part of the country. We will return to this park. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We had a couple of days to kill between two scheduled stops and this place just happened to be half-way, so we stayed here. It is a very nice park, with lots of trees, grass and shade. Unfortunately, the Buffalo area itself does not have much to recommend it, so we would probably not stop here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
My husband and I have traveled all states in the USA. We have been to all kind of RV campgrounds. Come to Deer Park Campground in Buffalo, WY if you are looking for a beautiful setting, immacaulate restrooms, sparkling swimming pool w/hot tub, and the most courteous staff. The owners have been doing this for decades.....they surely know how to run a business the right way. I would suggest they gravel the roads to keep dust down, otherwise, no other complaints. Oh, and the deer and wild turkey are everywhere here. We would return without a doubt. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This is a very nice park with easy access to I-90. Friendly and helpful office staff that escorted you to your site. Water pressure and quality were both good, gravel roads and parking sites with plenty of grass at the site. Pool area was clean and well maintained. Good spot for an overnight stop. Nightly ice cream social is a good place to chat with other campers. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Charming small family owned campground. Lots of grass & trees. Good pull thru sites, big rig sites. Easy access from freeway. Dog & people friendly. Free ice cream socials. Would stay again if in area. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This park was a treat for us. The owner/managers were very friendly and helpful. The park was super clean even though it was completely full both nights we were there. Pool was heated and looked like fun. Laundry room was very nice. Great game room for the kids. I would recommend this park if you are going to see Devils Tower. Only 28 scenic miles. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This was our 3rd visit to Buffalo but first at this park. We stopped overnight, on way to Yellowstone. We had best site in campground (others didn't want to unhook toads), had satellite reception, shade and great view. Also, nice grassy site. Hosts were very polite and accommodating. Only complaint is dusty access road covering toad and back of MH. As usual, "no washing of vehicles" permitted. Someday, owners will understand that RVers need to wash their vehicles!! We will stay here again, there is so much to see and do in Buffalo. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Very nice CG, sites are gravel but level and very roomy. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Good park for dogs as there are a lot of places to walk. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Excellent park with level sites, good wi-fi, good cable TV, and excellent, friendly service. Great view from our campsite. Ice cream social every night. We highly recommend it. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This was an OK overnight stop. The bathrooms and showers were clean, but dated. Gravel and dirt, trees, picnic tables, and ice cream socials in the evening. We pulled in late (after 8) and asked the next morning if we could check out at noon instead of 11:00, but were told no because they needed to clean and prepare the site for the next arrival. Clean what?? We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a great park. Convenient location off I-90. Wifi works great. Rooftop satellite works great. Nice, roomy sites with turkeys roaming all around. The laundry facilities are terrific. The owners are very nice and worked hard to get us into a site where our satellite would work. After paying $35 at Devil's Tower View electric only site last nite, I can't believe we're only paying $38 for this wonderful campground. We would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Good park (and the BEST in Buffalo). Level sites, shade, gravel sites, Wi-Fi, cable. We found this park utilizing Big Rigs Best Bets (book). We have a 45' coach and there was plenty of elbow room We camped here in a Motorhome.
Nice park-like atmosphere with level gravel parking spots with green grass in between. Nice wide sites. Well maintained. Walking path. They offer Wi-Fi and cable included in the price. We didn't use them so can't say how they worked. Laundry appeared clean and well-maintained but we didn't use it. We've camped here before and will return. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Very friendly, helpful owners/operators. Shady sites, quiet park. Deer come in the evening and feed on the grass. Very clean laundry, showers and bathrooms. The shower stalls were the smallest I've ever seen, only complaint. We stayed 3 nights. Well kept up campground. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
This is a delightful park that is only open from April through September. We visited this park in July for 10 days and then returned for a month in September. Price reflects the monthly fee pro-rated on a daily basis. There are a wide variety of sites – no cookie-cutter locked-stepped layout in this park. There are pull-thru sites, back-in sites and pull-in sites. Sites are immaculate, level, packed dirt surrounded in most cases by grass. Sites are mostly shady, but the owners know which ones are roof-top internet satellite dish friendly and accommodated our needs. Water pressure is good, electricity is stable and utility connections are convenient. No highway noises, no railroad whistles! Clean 24-hour laundry and facilities. Deer and wild turkey are often seen roaming in the open areas. We are full-time RVers and lived here for a month and are planning on returning next year. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a nice quiet park with a pool. Owners are nice and workkamper was nice. This is off the interstate about a half mile so no truck noise. Sites were gravel with grass all over the rest. Bath and Showers were clean. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Very nice campground although rather expensive, even with the Good Sam discount. We were in a pull-through, level, hard-pack site. Lots of large trees. Has a swimming pool and nice walking path. Would definitely stay here again. They have an ice cream social every night which was enjoyable to meet the other RVers. Staff was friendly and helpful. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
We only stayed overnight, and it was very nice for that purpose. I did use the laundry facility and it was very nice and clean. The owners were extremely nice and they have an ice cream social in the evening for $1. which is a good deal. The only reason I didn't give a perfect score was because the site we were on was actually more weeds than grass and wasn't very conducive for sitting out. We camped here in a Motorhome.
The best campground in Buffalo, we checked them all out, but a bit on the pricey side. WiFi didn't work at our site and we had the office in sight. Dirt roads and sites which got pretty muddy after the rain. Some sites are more 'out in the open' than others for satellite reception. Pool & hot tub were still open but 'ice cream social' was over for the year. There are some long term residents here but all is neat and clean. We would stay here again - Winchester Steakhouse within walking distance and very good. Drive out the Cloud Peak Byway to Tensleep is beautiful. Fort Phil Kearny close by with battle sites and museum. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This park is very neat, clean and shady. The pool is clean. Coffee is $.50 and every night they sell a huge bowl of ice cream for $1.00. Staff is very friendly and helpful and lead rigs to the sites. A flock of wild turkeys roam the campground along with deer and rabbits. A great steak house is within walking distance. The king size pull-thrus are very wide with nice lawns. All sites are shaded but some are quite close together. Tenting area is grassy, shaded and set aside from other sites. Buffalo has all visitor services, a museum and is close to historical sites and beautiful mountain/canyon drives. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Nice clean park. WIFI worked well. Cable worked well. Sites were gravel so it was dusty. Some sites have good satellite access. Stayed here 10 days and will stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We happened upon this campground after traversing the Bighorn Mountains. With it's wide shady sites and welcoming bunnies it was a sight for sore eyes. Later in the evening we were invited to their nightly ice cream social--bring your bowl, a spoon, and a dollar. In the morning the children were delighted to find a flock of wild turkeys meandering through the camp. This was a pleasant place to stop. The managers were helpful and kind. There are some seasonal residents but for the most part they camp in a separate section. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Nice park. Very treed. Some sites could receive sat. TV. Office people/owners were very accommodating. They had an ice cream social the night we were there. Sites were wide and big rig sites available. Good place to spend a few nights. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Great little friendly park. Asked at reception for a site that would be sure of WiFi and the lady was very obliging. Good Cable. Pleasant, well kept park with deer grazing nearby. Close to town and not on the main road like the more expensive KOA nearby. Recommend and we would use it again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
The staff was very friendly and informative. Restrooms were clean as was the campground. WIFI was spotty where we were located in the park. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Great overnight park on your way west. Cleanest showers I have ever seen. Nice large lots with plenty of space between campers. Gravel road :( but lots of deer, wild turkeys and very friendly rabbits abound. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Good overnight stop with all today's RVer's necessities: full hoop-ups, Cable, and WIFI. Enough trees to give some shade. Except for a nice pool, not much to do in park. A quiet park away from the interstates (25 and 90). We camped here in a Motorhome.
This Passport America participating campground is unusual in many ways. Great location far enough away from the interstate to be quiet. Lots of shade and grassy area. Deer everywhere! It seems like another world when you enter. The Office Staff actually searched their computer database to accommodate our request for both a rooftop satellite pullthrough site and in-coach Wi-Fi! And we were a discount visitor! I cannot remember getting special service like that anywhere before. They guided us to our site to make sure we got in OK. Site was level and sufficient for our 41' motorhome plus toad. Office/store had a nice covered porch with picnic tables for people to bring their computers and socialize during ice cream social. Complimentary computer set up inside. Store very nicely stocked with necessities and regional gift items. We very much enjoyed our stay here and would definitely visit again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Only stayed one night. Pricy, but it does have very clear cable TV. Has WiFi. Was told we might not be able to get it at our trailer and could come inside the store, but was able to get it at our trailer. Our site was very level and this park has big rig access. We are 60 foot long with truck and trailer. No problems. There is no road noise. Downfalls. Barking dogs in the morning and low hanging branches. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This park has some very uneven and unlevel spaces and the computer modem is located outside
on the front porch in a covered area, but an area that is open to the elements. Not good on a cold day. Okay for an overnight stay, but not long
term. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Don't let the construction on Hart Street discourage you---call ahead of time and the owner will hop into his golf cart and meet you out at the highway and show you in. The flagged were also tremendously helpful. This is a great little park with terrific owners and workampers, and a little gift shop that will help you do all your Christmas shopping way before Christmas. The showers are clean, although the shower heads in the ladies' bathroom are a little outdated and the spray can be painful on your body. But the hot water is endless, and that's a delight. We've stayed here many times, and will stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
The park staff was excellent, especially when a terrible wet snow hit during the night. Those lovely 200 trees were dropping huge branches all over the park and power outages plagued the entire community for about 24 hrs. RV's were moving to any area that didn't have huge branches looming over them. When daylight arrived, the park staff worked like crazy to clear branches from the roadways and accommodate folks as best they could. Aside from that catastrophe, our review is that the park is well-kept and offers great facilities. Our beef with this park and others like it, is the unfair extra charge for kids, especially in an off season when the pool is closed. We know that our kids don't cost these parks more and the policy of charging extra penalizes families. Another negative for this park is the hunters that were carving up their kills on site, including piling deer carcasses on the very nice picnic tables. We did not enjoy the view of deer carcasses hanging from the trees and wouldn't use those picnic tables: ever! The road construction is awful, but the construction crew moved cones and barrels to assist our entrance to the park. From the looks of it, the construction may still be present next spring. We'd suggest calling the park to ask about the entrance. With all the cones and closed driveways, it was extremely difficult to see the entrance to the campground. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
A nice little campground with lots of shade. Staff was very nice and helpful. Our spot was long and wide enough for our 4 slides. We ate lunch across the street at the Bozeman's Steakhouse, good food with a great atmosphere. Only downside to our visit was the construction on Hart St. which made it extremely difficult to get in or out of the park. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
An excellent place to stay, just off the junction of I-90 and I-25. Large, level pull-through sites are shaded by mature trees. Freeway noise was not excessive. Proximity to the town (walking distance) and to the Bighorn Mountains was nice. Propane is available for purchase. The laundry was very large, with eight washers and eight dryers. We didn't use the pool, but it was a decent size and looked clean. AT&T cell service was good. AT&T air card did not work at all, of course, but that's not the park's fault. Wi-Fi connection was excellent. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Very nice park - Staff welcomed us and made us feel right at home with a friendly family park atmosphere. They were having a ice cream social for Tricycle club and invited us to come join. We felt right at home on our first time stay and returned to stay two nights on our way back south. Park is clean, easy access, little or no highway noise though next to I-25. Sites are spaced nicely with grass, beautiful tall trees, lots of gravel, little or no dusty and other campers are friendly - Put this park on your list as an excellent place to stop and rest or spend some time. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Shore Services: 50amp, Sewer good, Water @ 40 psi - WiFi: Good - AT&T Cell Phone: good signal - Sprint Air Card: Poor - Verizon Air Card: Good - Cable: good - Site Size: long enough for 5th wheel and truck - Site Closeness: far enough to put out awning. Some fairly close. - Roads: Gravel - Restrooms & Shower: clean - Laundry: 7 washers and dryers - Long term tenants: Some to rear but only for a few months - Directv Satellite: good at my site. The trees may block some access - Discounts: Good Sams - Payment: Credit Card - Additional Remarks: This is a nice park. I would stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Convenient location right off the freeway, but had lots of trees so a nice feeling of privacy. Nice pull thru spots. Campground was very well maintained. Bathrooms were some of the cleanest I've seen. Nice laundry room right in the office area. Small playground for kids and pool. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
There is easy access west off I-25 Exit 299. The interior roads and sites are gravel. Sites closest to entry road don't have as many trees. Sites in rows by the office and north of it have more trees. An area even further north has few trees, but not hookups. We stayed in Site 10 near the entry. Most sites were pull-through's of great length. We were able to get satellite TV and great WiFi from the park. There is some road noise from interstate and exit road. The owners acquired property about 4 years ago. They have made improvements to the park. The owners were very friendly and helpful. Restrooms and showers along with the pool, office, and well equipped camp store and gift shop were all immaculate. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Close to the Interstate so there is road noise. Set back off the highway behind other businesses so need to look for the campground sign and entrance road; there is adequate turning room to get in. Well maintained grounds. Gravel roads are dusty. Gravel sites were level, with grass and a table. Large Cottonwood trees are welcome in the heat. Cable TV with lots of channels but picture was a bit fuzzy. Verizon air card worked well. Nice pool. For larger rigs they only rent full hook-up pull through sites as the W/E sites are too small. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Nice campground with lots of trees. Extremely clean bathrooms and showers, cutely decorated even! Very nice staff. We needed a few boards to level on our site, but we were at the end of a row. Right off the highway and in town and a short walk to McDonalds. Couldn't resist the gift shop. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Very helpful & friendly staff. Campsites are large and mostly shaded. Park is clean and very well maintained. Free Wi-Fi & cable. Nice clean washrooms & free showers. Good laundry facilities. A little close to the freeway, some noise. We stayed for 2 days & would stay there again. Good Sam rate $34. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
It is right next to US 25 with truck noise all day and into the night. This off ramp is for the 16 that leads to Yellowstone. Nice sites, fairly level, full hookups, grass between sites, lots of room for slides and awning. Nice laundry facility inside the park's office and it was very clean. While at the park the Cottonwoods were in seed and it was like being in a blizzard, got into everything. Verizon’s cell and Aircard signals came in strong. Had to use our portable dish to pick up sat. signal as we were in lots of trees and we didn’t want to use their cable tv. Power, water and sewer were very good, we didn't have any problems. While we were here we enjoyed exploring the down stairs of the Occidental Hotel with all of the pictures of the early days. Hotel was restored in 2008 and the saloon looks about the same as it did in the late 1800's. This is a very nice clean park that is unfortunately next 2 very busy highways. OK overnighter. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Nice campground. We also went to the Occidental - interesting place. They had a bluegrass jam, too. Level sites. We would camp here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Very nice, clean CG with friendly staff. Great gift shop and laundry facilities. Sites level gravel. Not a great area of town but we felt safe in the fenced in area. Ate at a wonderful steakhouse just a mile down the road. The Winchester Steak House. We would camp here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This campground has long pull-through sites. The bathrooms and showers were clean. The campground is within walking distance of restaurants, if you do not want to unhook. Easy on and off the expressway. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Nice place for a day or two. Good shade. Good wifi. Water and electricity are good. The only downer is that with the shade comes no satellite TV. That's the only thing that kept it from being a 10. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
We have stayed here each of the last trhee years and this time in late July and late August. Very good facilities (FHU, 60+ cable, WIFI, and good sized pool) and its' proximity to town (20 minute walk to center of town) make this our preference over the KOA and Deer Park. The large cottonwood trees give some shade during the day and yes, for a short period it May/June they do "snow" as a previous reviewer noted. Just another case of an RVer who downgrades a park because they cannot handle Mother Nature if it gets them or their rig dirty. We camped here in a Motorhome.
OK stop on the way to Cody. Some noise from the highway. Shady sites with adequate room for slide-outs. Good water, sewer and electric. Nice gift shop on site. Clean laundry. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
A little crowded, but very convenient to town and the park. Very nice owner. Everything stated on the website is correct. Next to the highway, but quiets down at night. We camped here in a Motorhome.
On one of their freeway billboards they advertise " over 200 shade trees ". They are not kidding. All of them big towering cottonwoods. Satellite is out here. The Wifi comes and goes. The trees are the big issue as they shed not a few little cottonwood seeds, instead they shed huge balls of cotton. Now take these same trees that are shedding cotton and add in the amazing amount of dripping sap and you have what you call a big mess. All the cottonwood and leaves on the ground stick to your shoes from the sap which gets tracked into the RV. You have to scrape the stuff from the bottoms of your shoes. Our toad and MH was covered with sap requiring a complete cleaning. The roads are also dusty which sticks to the sap on your RV and Toad. The CG is decent, but we wont be back again. This place is going to cost me a day or two of work scrubbing all the sap from the vehicles as well as cleaning out the air conditioning coils and RV screens. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Lots of very big cottonwood trees means lots of cotton flying around. Some sites are very close to a downhill freeway exit with trucks using air brakes, which makes it a bit noisy at times. The sites were large and easy to maneuver in and out with a lot of space between sites. Nice bathrooms and lobby. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This is one of the best campgrounds we stayed at so far. It was neat as a pin, friendly and helpful. It had the best Wi-Fi we've found. All sites were clean. There were very few residents. Those that are residents are in the back, and their sites are all neat. We would stay here again without hesitation. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Excellent park! A little more than I like to spend - this was the GS rate! However, the showers were awesome; heated! It was cold, windy and raining but gravel sites were not soggy. Restaurants close by. Camp store has tourist items; great sale (got some T-shirts!). Owner and wife were wonderful. Nice laundry. Lots to do in area. Would recommend this park, and would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Great place to stay. Easy sites to set-up & good Wi-Fi. A negative would be it is close to the interestate so you have that noise. The front office was great and helpful. I would stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
A very nice campground; on arrival we were greeted by the friendly and helpful owner & helped with refilling our propane tank. Sites are level gravel with large trees and convenient hookups. Free cable and good free WiFi. Next to the interstate but not too much noise. Close enough to walk to restaurants in a beautiful setting. We'd stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Nice little park--we stay every year for a night or two--lots of shade, nice pool and family friendly. New owners are not as outgoing as the previous two but they still treat you right. We will return. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We stayed here twice last year, and it is still our preference of the the 3 main parks in the area. The facilities (FHU, pool, cable, and WIFI) are at least as good as Deer Park and the KOA. Here you can walk to some nearby shops and restaurants, and even to the historic downtown if you can handle a 3 mile round-trip. Numerous trees might cause some satellite problems and I-25 is close enough that some may complain about traffic noise. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Wonderful campground. Great, level sites. Very friendly staff. Super clean laundry rooms. Did not use showers or rest rooms. We camped here in a Motorhome.
As said before, very nice owners. Our only complaint about this campground was the huge rut on our site that made leveling difficult as it couldn't be avoided. This is a popular stop-over for travelers west and therefore very busy. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
This campground is conveniently located near both I-90 and I-25. There is some highway noise, but we were located at in a site furthest from the highway so it was not that annoying. All sites are pull-through and are well-shaded with mature cottonwood trees. Showers and bathroom facilities are located in the office which was a short walk from our camp site but is a ways from the outermost sites. They offer free wireless internet, although I had a problem with signal strength initially. There are a number of other Wi-Fi hot spots that I picked up, including a signal from the nearby Best Western. The shower/bathrooms are open 24 hours and are well lit. The pool is large enough to swim laps in and is 8' deep in the deep end. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. Our daughter enjoyed the cable tv hook-up. Very quiet campground, aside from the sounds of traffic. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Nice place with level sites, full hookups, cable, lots of shade and super Wi-Fi service. We were en route to Yellowstone and Buffalo was a convenient stopover. We called from Gillette and they held the last spot for us. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We stayed here in a pinch during a snow. After-hour check-in, but the very friendly owner (lives on-site) came over to welcome us. Pool not open but I did check out the showers and bathrooms ...very clean. Large shaded (in season!!) sites w/picnic table, camp had been plowed nicely so we could maneuver our 40' rig. (the 'other Kamp' across the street WAS NOT plowed well and we nearly failed to maneuver out of it in the darkness.) Easy in/out; we didn't use the hook-ups (water would've frozen and too tired for cable). We'll be back to enjoy a SUMMER visit here! We camped here in a Motorhome.
Not much to add to other reviews except my basic agreement. Lots of trees for shade. Good cable, WiFi, and proximity to town make it worth more than one night. We stayed four and again on our way back east later in our trip. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Overall a nice campground. WiFi worked quite well. Sites were shady and large. Staff helpful. Only negative is the short very dust dirt road entering the park. Would stay again if in the area We camped here in a Motorhome.
We've stayed here in the past and had good owners but the park is under new ownership as of April 2006. Fortunately the new owners are as great as the previous ones. There's lots of shade trees so getting a satellite dome to work is going to be tricky. Other than that, this is a great park with free wi-fi. Lots of room to maneuver and nice spacious sites. We'll be back. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Convienent park to Interstate. VERY friendly owners - nice people. Easy in and out. Good WiFi connection. A little pricey for the amenities available. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Older, wooded and very well kept campground, with exceptionally friendly owners. The restrooms were older but sparkling clean. A nice camp store with a good selection of both necessities and gifts native to the area. Sites were roomy with gravel pads, plenty of room to maneuver, and pull thru's. Nice 24 hour laundry with phone and lounge. Camped in 37' MH with toad in 2005. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Wonderful campground. The owner met us at our rig as soon as we pulled in. He directed us to a site and then I went in to pay. His wife was very helpful and friendly. Nice laundry facilites which are open 24 hrs. Very nice shop. The nicest park we have ever stayed at. Loved the free WIFI and will definitely stay at this park again when in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.
A very nice older RV park with plenty of shade and generously sized sites. Spent some time in a site near the entrance and in front of the office. Found it quite noisy. A few days later stayed at an interior site and found it very quiet and comfortable. Owners very friendly and helpful. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
We arrived at the park pretty close to office closing time, very tired due to a very long and hard day going over mountains. The owner was there waiting as I climbed out of our motorhome, and was most sympathetic. We had a power outage problem in our coach the next morning and he was quite helpful. The laundry and shower areas are spotless. The WIFI didn't work that night, but it did work the next morning. The gift shop is very nice, and carries RV supplies as well as regional souveniers. Although we had only the time to eat dinner, do laundry and sleep, we did like the park and the owners. It was clean and quiet, and easy to find, in spite of some road construction near the exit we took to get to the park. Seeing as it was our third night ever in a motorhome, and the coach itself fought us all the way, we enjoyed our stay. On our way out of town, we did a little drive through the town, it is very clean and quaint. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Pleasant and shady. Showers and bathrooms were very clean. Trees in campground dripped fine sap. Otherwise very acceptable. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This was a lovely campground. The people who run the place were very friendly and live on
site. The pool was wonderful for my children and the laundry facilities were nice and clean. Very pretty campground with lots of trees. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

A new family recently purchased this campground, and continue to offer the tradition of a delightful camping experience: good value and a well-tended park, to which they add their own friendly hospitality. This is a wonderful park with shade and a pool, level, gravel sites, incredibly sparkling restrooms and laundry faciities, a well-stocked store including food and quality souvenir and gift items. Buffalo itself is a classic small town with friendly folks and a fantastic diner and other good restaurants and two good groceries. It has the outstanding Jim Gatchell western museum, other fascinating historical sites nearby and is only 35 miles from thriving Sheridan. The campground is a welcome rest stop either going to or coming from Yellowstone and Montana. If you like nice owner/managers, and want a laid-back, comfortable camping experience, don't miss it, it's a real treat! If you have a complaint, you're not a true RVer! We camped here in a Motorhome.

A nice campground that was very close to perfect. The owners were very friendly. The
campground was mostly wooded and was well kept. We did not use the restrooms, but they were sparkling clean (owners gave us the quick tour). The camp
store had a nice selection of necessities and gifts native to the area. Would definitely recommend this campground to others. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
True Wyoming experience, the lake is the 'swimming pool'. Fish, boat, dive or just watch from your site. Established sites have fire pits and tables, or you may park anywhere for $6 a night, including the South end of lake. Pit toilets, no showers but very rarely crowded. We camped here in a Motorhome.
The entrance to the campground was pretty badly chewed up as a result of construction work arising from a new association with the Hampton Inn next door. There was plenty of room for our 42' rig and tow. The manager was very friendly and helpful. There might be a bit of an odor problem if you're downwind of the open wagon that serves as a dumpster. Overall a good spot for an overnight stay. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This was the best Campground we stayed in since leaving Florida, three weeks ago. We were here for three days and were treated better than family. Our hostess was always here no matter what we needed. I would recommend this campground as the place to be. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

It may be because the season is nearly over in this part of the country: but when we were here, this place was nearly empty except for a collection of rigs that looked to belong to workers in the area. Nonetheless, when we were the only rig in our row, another rig was parked right next to us for the night. There's no reason for that and it annoys us. Other than that, the park was OK but not great. When we arrived, early in the afternoon, there was no one in the office and no note on the door to tell us where to go (we had a reservation). Finally, after we had asked some people working on a car nearby where the manager was, someone came out and told us our paperwork was in the Night Registration box. It would have been nice to have a note on the door to that effect. Then we had to go back later to register, as the office was closed until 4 p.m. Our site was long enough to accommodate our truck and 36' fifth wheel; there was grass and a picnic table next to it and the sites weren't as close together as we've seen them. There's no shade, which is good for satellite TV and internet reception, but it can get hot in this area. We saved some money by not having a sewer hookup for the two nights we were here; but this campground still seems expensive for what you get. Typical KOA pricing, even if it is no longer a KOA. Also, signage directing you to the park is nonexistent until you get right on it, so use the map on their website. Our GPS would have had us in the wrong location, using just the street address. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Good stopover on my trip. Roads in the area are a little confusing and the roads in the park have tight turns. Wasn't there long enough to form much more of an opinion other than it wasn't a bad place to sleep for the night. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This KOA was not great, but not all that bad either. The staff was a little hard to reach by phone to make a reservation, but they were friendly when we got there. Roads and sites were gravel. Sites were narrow and close together. Most sites had a table, some had fire rings, and some were shaded. There were lots of cable TV channels, and the free Wi-Fi was strong. Restrooms/showers were small, old, and showing wear, but reasonably clean. This worked as a place to stay while seeing sights in the area, but not much more. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Paid for a patio site which was offered a nice patio and lawn area. Other sites were nothing special. Would stay here again when traveling through the area. Would not do an extended stay. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Signage to campground good. Large area to park and register. Office staff friendly and efficient. Access roads to sites gravel and well maintained. Sites are gravel and grass with small trees. Hook-ups are in odd places on sites. We had patio site which was large. Quiet despite being close to town center. Well maintained but let down by scruffy seasonal/worker units. We camped here in a Motorhome.
I cannot say enough good things about the staff at this campground. We stayed there in 2006 when my husband got a very bad infection in his foot. At the time we were traveling with only the motor home and the staff arranged to take him to the local community emergency clinic via one of their staff members so we didn't have to deal with unhooking our motor home. We were treated with such kindness by the staff. Since we were unable to complete our planned trip we returned the next year and was able to enjoy the campground a little more. They had activities for everyone. The campground was quite nice. It had shady sites. I would highly recommend this campground. We camped here in a Motorhome.
What a great place! Although we had the super-deluxe site with our own private fenced area and hot tub, all the sites were roomy and spaced fairly well apart. Hookups were a little far away, have an extension cord and extra hose handy just in case! Management was superb! Very friendly! Free firewood was a nice extra. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
This was a terrific KOA! Great pool, Fabulous breakfast and a great dish washing station. Semi private patio site was unbeatable. Would highly recommend to anyone. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We used this as an overnight stop. Good thing we had a GPS, as the entrance from the main street had a small sign and was poorly lit. We were a "late" check in and left payment in the box at the office. Sites were easy to get into, bathrooms/showers clean. Not much in the area; the truck stop across the street has an Arby's, which closed before we could get inside. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Campground is very well kept. We had a large site with patio, covered lounge chairs, benches around fire pit, grill and fenced in yard. A site with hot tub is also available for $79.00. Nice pool and hot tub next to office area. They had a large camp kitchen gazebo for all to use and where they served breakfast and ice cream social in the evening. We camped here in a Motorhome.
What a great KOA. We drove an extra 108 miles past Casper just to get to this one. We arrived after hours, yet the host greeted us and opened the store for us. They were very friendly and informative on the facilities. The bathrrom/showers were very private and very clean. Our son had a blast on the playground and looking at the teepees. We will always reccomend this stop. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
We had a reservation and stopped to check in. In our opinion, to be fair, I would rate the park "stark" at best. The trees are immature and provide no shade whatever. The sites were unpaved and dusty. The office staff was friendly and refunded our full deposit. Even with the discount coupons offered on the internet, we found the park not acceptable and found another more comfortable park nearby. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Only one site with hot tub, which I rented. The hot tub water smelled badly; not worth the additional money. The main hot tub at lodge was down for repairs so I received dirty looks from a couple of other campers as I sat in ours. Mini golf in poor shape. All in all I would stay again. Beautiful country. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Very nice shade, grassy sites but a little dusty due to the unpaved roads. They had free wireless although we could not get it from our site. Very comfortable campground and we ended up spending another to unwind. Don't forget to go downtown the IGA for a great deli and some of the best potatoe and tomato salads ever! We camped here in a Motorhome.
A very nice park. All of the facilities are modern, clean and well-maintained. The staff
was exceptionally nice. Pancake breakfast was good. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Very nice KOA. No Shade though, trees are too young. Very friendly staff, very clean facilities. Mini Golf needed some work but was nice. Big playground area, family style cooking area, little pedal go-kart things to rent. A little close to the highway but overall very good. A nice site with hot tub and private bbq area is available. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Nice cg,but it is being improved and they have some of the new sites with the decks and the hottubs etc.It cost me an extra $7 for two kids and cable. I didn't ask for cable, but was charged 'cuz it was there anyway.Even the people with dishes had to pay it...They did have the ice cream social and pancake breakfast, neither of which were free. It was cheaper to eat McGriddles down the street tho.... We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

The nicest KOA we've visited. Park is new and nicely landscaped. Sites are level, deep and well separated. New inovation at the park is a "Quality" site with a deck, hot tub, patio furniture, etc., cost is $40+/nite. The town of Buffalo has an excellent museum and an historic district that's worth exploring. We camped here in a camper.
Quiet little U.S. Forest Service campground. Heavily wooded, no hookups with very, very large sites. Our sideways pull-through was so big you could have parked two of us in it. Even the back-ins were very long and looked easy to get into. A nice break for us from commercial campgrounds, although it would be hard for us to stay long without internet. Absolutely no possibility of satellite reception with all the tall trees, and no Verizon cell service either. An inexpensive overnight, although the reservation fee ($9 reflected in price shown) was more than the nightly camping fee ($6) with our Golden Age Pass. We were surprised the campground was half empty on a Saturday night. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This was the first open campground between Ten Sleep and Buffalo. It is a typical National Forest campground. A big loop with 20 sites. Most back-in but some pull-through. The restrooms were pit toilets, but surprisingly clean and well maintained. There was water available through a hand pump. We did notice a dump station 10 miles up the road. The campground was great for the night we stayed, but we noticed a number of people with two week reservations set up with big rigs and travel trailers. There were also plentiful wildlife and splendid views. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.
