This was a stop over for two nights. Very nice owner and very help full. The sites where level did not need to use the leveling blocks. The restaurant on the grounds has great food and very good prices. We enjoyed our stay and will return.

Well looked after park. Close to Interstate but its lightly traveled at night and the highway runs in a bit of a cut by the campground which reduces noise. Wi-Fi signal varies, even near the office. Lots of books to trade. Good place to stop.

I agree with the previous reviews. This park is a refreshing change from the tightly spaced parks along the highway. Very pleasant, very quiet and excellent Wi-Fi.

We stayed here the night before July 3. Some serious expansion is in progress in the park to make more space available. Check in folks were friendly, and they have a great breakfast deal. Sites are barren and close together. Sewer connections are far and deep. I saw several folks with new hardware/hoses to accommodate the unusually deep or distant set up. Staff is diligent and the camp was very clean. OK but expensive for an overnighter.

We stayed here for 5 days before July 4 weekend playing virtual grand parents to friends in a 5th wheel. The camp has many pine trees and most of the folks that stay here have children. There are lots of folks in Cabins and Teepee's. It reminded me of camping as a boy and I loved the pine forest, camp fires, and the small pond out back. The location is great with Deadwood, Custer, Jewel Caves, Mammoth site, and monuments ... Rushmore and Crazyhorse close by. Take the 1880 train from Hot Springs to Keystone. This is a great place to stay if you want to see the Black hills. Wi-Fi is free and very good. Cell phone connection is poor to frustrating. Water pressure was low in our site. Bottom line, loved it. Hosts Hammers were very good to us.

The road noise is just terrible and then at night you can hear the train. The dirt roads have large mud holes. If it rains you have to walk through mud to get to the dumpster. The staff is nice the Wi-Fi works and they have nice cable but don't expect to get satellite in the trees. They also charge a walk in fee but we had a reservation. Stayed for a week but will not be back.

This is a beautiful park to stay in. The trees could pose a problem in getting in to some campsites, but if you choose your spot carefully you should be ok. Our 34 foot 5th wheel fit into our spot on Shark's Eye very nicely. The beach area was wonderful, and the internet access at Island Joe's was fast and a pleasant surprise. The grounds were well maintained. For the price, this beautiful area is a bargain.

Nice spot for a quick overnight stop. The spots up front could be a little noisy since they are right next to a truck stop parking area. Our pull through was level and easy to get in to. I would stop there again.

This is a great state park. The grounds are very well maintained, and our back-in site was level and easy to get in to. Some of the sites in the first area looked a little tricky with the trees. The bathhouse by the river looked new, and it was very nice and clean. The wifi service was excellent. This was a good location for us to stay in and make a quick trip into New Orleans. The surrounding area was a nice area.

Fantastic! This was just as great a park as everyone says. We were in site 108, and it was a level pull-through with a great view. The tram to the beach was on time, and when a storm came in the rangers very quickly got everyone off of the beach. We are already talking about making the long drive from Texas to stay here again.

This is by far the best KOA I have ever stayed in. My wife and I were there for 32 days and paid the extended stay rate. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. I enjoyed the food at the restaurant (except the Taco bar on Wednesday). Seems the Pennsylvania Dutch don't really know what a Taco bar should be like. The toilets, showers and Laundry rooms were the cleanest I have ever come across in a Campground. I highly recommend this park for any one to visit.

Over priced for what you get but the park is adequate for a one or two day stay. The sites will accomodate any length vehicle and tow and are spaced far enough apart to be comfortable. The sites are gravel and level. Good electric and water pressure and the staff are very friendly and helpful. We were there on the 4th of July and they were helpful in pointing out activities going on in town. The entry to the park is accessible via a one lane roadway which is actually a two way street. Makes it real interesting when someone is coming the opposite direction.

This campground is only 2 miles north of Durango. We had a pull through sight that allowed us to actually enter without unhooking. Very friendly staff in office. You can choose wide open or shaded sites. We will definitely return in the future.

Rate is Coast to Coast. This is a resident-owned "community", and visitors (like us) are not allowed access to most of the amenities. C2C spaces are scattered among the permanent residences. Most of the permanent structures are older trailers, with a scattering of park models. Doesn't look like any have ever been washed. Spaces are close together. Heavily wooded, very hard to get satellite signals. It's a Verizon "extended service" zone. It is convenient for visiting the northeast Poconos area. Laundry requires tokens instead of cash. We wound up here by failing to reserve soon enough elsewhere for the July 4th holiday weekend. Park staff is not geared to supporting non-residents, and keys to get into things like the laundry are reluctantly doled out. We probably won't be in this area again, but if we are we'll try to find someplace else to park.

Stayed here on overnight stay while on the way to Hilton Head. Small cramped sites with tight turns to get in and out. Full of long-term residence with junky site. Only reason I felt safe outside after dark was because I had two large dogs with me. I would not stay here with children. Unfortunately if you are looking for an overnight stop in this neck of the woods the park is all that is available. I suggest parking, locking up, getting some sleep, and then getting out as fast as possible. Price reflects Good Sam discount.

Owners are great. The campground is primarily for people who want to fish in the white river and the owner has fishing boats available for rent as well as a store with all the things you might need for your fishing trip. There are actually 6 back-in rv sites on the river. Another 8 sites are pull throughs just a short distance from the river. The best feature is the price. 30 amp service is $18 per night and 50 amp is $20 per night. The water, sewer, and electric worked very well. Wireless internet is only available at the office / store with is out of range from the campsites. I found it easier to go to the state park visitor center a couple of times per day and use the wi-fi hot spots that are available free and without the need for a security code. Everything is gravel and dirt but the water drains pretty good after a rain. I would recommend this campground for folks who want to sit and relax by the river or fish and place a high priority on having sewer hookups at a good daily rate. You can tie your boat up on the bank of the river and walk up to your campsite or clean your fish at the fish cleaning station between the campsites and the river.

The sites are very close together and we had some difficulty fitting our 35 foot motorhome into a 35 foot site; we could not connect the sewer. Interior roads are fair and narrow. Office staff was pleasant and efficient. The campground is on the river and its primary business is guiding, canoeing, kayaking and tubing. There is a walking path to town, 1 1/2 miles away. Restaurants close by. Good location. WiFi at site. We would definitely come here again.

A great RV park inside the city of St. John's. This is a city park staffed by part time young people in the office. DON'T expect them to be knowledgeable about parking your rig!!. There are 30 large pull-thru full hook up sites, about 80' long and 30'-35' wide The parking pads are level gravel with beautiful grass to sit outside on. There is good WiFi. We were close to WiFi antenna so had very good signal. The pull-thru sites are in an open area. There are other back-in sites which are all in the trees with good privacy. These may be hard to get large rigs into. Some have full hook up, others water & elect only. There are also no-hookup sites in the trees as well. Many of theses sites are great for tents. We saw lots of tents. Caravans use this park so the pull-thru sites will fill up quickly when they come to town.

The tram was pretty much on time for the week we were there. The park rangers were extremely helpful for any of our needs or questions. I have stayed here a few times and we are already making our reservations for next year.

The campground is in a nice, treed setting with good space between sites. However, we had been accessing many campground WIFI systems during a 6 weeks trip and this is the first place we could not get a WIFI signal, even when right next to the antenna outside the office. Another disappointment was that the water temperature for the washing machines was set so low that a hot wash cycle was barely tepid at best. Not the park's fault, but we didn't spend much time outside because the bugs and "skeeters" were really thick!

This is a delightfully quiet and restful park. The sites are surrounded by 3 stocked ponds and there is a water view from nearly every space. The sites are large and the WIFI works great. The only thing we could find that would make this a perfect 10 is that the water pressure could be stronger.

What a delightful surprise! This a new campground with beautifully landscaped lawns, wide open spaces, and a lovely duck pond. The trees are not yet mature, so there is not much shade. The owners were very friendly and accommodating. The recreational areas of the park were outstanding with a sand volleyball area, basketball court, frisbie golf, paddle boats for the pond, and a clean, well equipped playground for the little ones. The WIFI also worked great. We will definitely return when in this area.

This is the first time I've ever felt compelled to post a negative review. We were in NC on vacation and decided to look around for a nice family campground while in the area of Winston Salem. Dan River campground seemed to look great from all the things we saw on the internet. We drove there without the trailer just to check it out. When I went to the office to ask if we could look around I was berated for driving too fast down the gravel entrance road. I was maybe going 15mph because it is a very bumpy, potholed, gravel road. I was told the speed limit is 10 mph throughout the park. I told them I never saw a sign and apologized. We then went into the park making sure we didn't exceed the 10 mph speed limit. It looked clean and well maintained so we decided to book 4 nights. On the way out we were again stopped by the manager, Glenn, who again bashed us about driving too fast. I told him I was driving 10 mph and asked if there was a sign I had missed at the top of the road when I came in. He said yes. Despite these 2 run ins we went back and got the camper and kids. Upon our return I noted that there is no speed limit sign at the top of the gravel road. It is at the end by the office. We checked in and set up camp and decided to let the kids go swimming in the rather small pool. We took 2 juices in plastic cups because we know you can't have glass at the pool. Glenn drives up and yells at us that there is no alcohol allowed at the pool. I told him we weren't drinking alcohol and he replied there is no drinking of any kind allowed at the pool despite the numerous cups beside pool chairs. He then accused us of moving the pool chairs around. After all this hassle by the management we left the pool, and the following morning left the campground. I can't really say much about the campground but the attitude of management is reason enough to avoid this campground. When I went to the office I was told by the employee that others had complained about Glenn's attitude and he was well aware of it. We spoke with several other campers and they were not happy either. One couple had been there 6 months for work and when the job got extended 2 weeks management made them pay full price for the additional 2 weeks. Have a heart!

The bugs, especially flies, were very bothersome this time around. Also the ladies bathroom toilets were not cleaned the two days we were there which was surprising. Another thing we didn't care for was our picnic table was literally right next to the sewer for our neighbor, and there was not too many other places to move the table and still be fairly close to our rig's door. It was fairly obvious by the grass growth underneath the table that the table is normally located right next to the sewage on this particular spot. We didn't encounter this at our previous spot in this park. Overall a great stop over park. Would stay there again in a different spot. The staff is extremely friendly.

This is probably the largest park we've ever stayed in and it took a little while to adjust. Great location and amenities. The beach was wonderful. We could walk right to the beach from our site. Be sure to padlock your coolers to your rig. Several people had their coolers stolen at night and we heard from others it is a regular occurrence. The kids loved the amenities especially "cruising" at night in the golf car. You will definitely need to rend a golf car if you visit as this place is huge. We would definitely visit again.

I would have given this CG a 10 but some of the sites are close. I am not sure why this CG got bad reviews before this is one of the cleanestand most family frindly CG we have seen. The owners are great he took us to the site and help us get parked. we had a problem with a breaker I reported it he beat me back to the camper to get it fix. They checked on us twice to make sure it was working. The wifi worked great. They have three pools one for kids/parents one for adults only and a game pool. The golf course was great, clean well kept just as is the CG. We enjoyed it so much we will be back and will bring our friends.

This RV park is like a slice of the American Midwest. Our site was shaded with trees, grassy, and had a picnic table and fire grill. We paid $22 including the tax for electricity and water, and another $2 for our daughter to use the pool. The atmosphere is homey. It's farther from the highway than other nearby RV parks but there is still some road noise. The pool is about the size of a pool in someone's backyard and has a lot of deck chairs around it. An old school building has been turned into a recreation room, with a shuffleboard table, pool table, book exchange, board games and couches. We were told that the Wi-Fi might not work at our site and to use it in the rec room, but we were able to access it fine from our site. The bathroom is somewhat old, but the showers are hot and fairly roomy. They're cleaned in the late morning, and then tidied up after people shower at night. One strange thing is, you access the pool through the washrooms, so one or both doors is frequently open, which doesn't lend itself to privacy. Also, the hot and cold water sink taps are switched, so the cold is on the left. The staff is friendly and polite.

Nice town with groceries nearby. Price reflects Golden Passport rate. Plenty of steep hills and sharp curves on the roads to the town of Confluence. Visited Fallingwater and Shanksville while here. Alleghany Portage bike trail runs thru the town. Walk to nice trout fishing water. Definitely enjoyed our stay.

Access to lake blocked by security gate. Only residents of the lake area permitted to drive to lake. Office staff indifferent, instead of attending to person in front of them. After taking a friend on a demo run in my bus and pulling back in to my space, one of the staff chased me down and told me I had to check in, even though I had been there two days. The lake is choked with weeds. The new bath house and store is very nice, but the rate charged is way too high.

The rate includes KOA discount. This park is not located near any stores except one gas station with a mini-mart, one restaurant in the 1880 Town 50s Diner Train (for breakfast and lunch), and no other stores. The KOA does offer a continental breakfast and some light fare for lunch. The campground was well-maintained, but the laundry area is in a steel building with few or no windows and a library. The area is quiet and peaceful and overlooks a small lake. There are lots of bunnies running around the campground, which was entertaining. The owners are very friendly and helpful and seem like they would go out of their way to make your stay comfortable. We did not check out the showers or bathrooms. The Wi-Fi worked well, but if you have 2 computers, be sure to get 2 pass codes. We would stay here again.

The amount we paid includes Passport America discount. All of the staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The park was well-maintained. The laundry room and bathrooms were very clean and the laundry table was a good height for folding. The commons area was very comfortable and has a library with comfortable chairs and tables. The handicapped bathroom could have used a wooden door instead of a shower curtain for the dressing area. There are trains that come through in the evening, but we have learned to deal with this as many campgrounds have this same issue--they pass quickly. The campground is very close to a Wal-Mart, many restaurants, and shopping. It is behind the motel, which is also well-maintained. The Wi-Fi worked well. We look forward to returning to this campground.

Nice enough park but questionable as to whether it rates Trailer Life's generous rating. It sets on the side of a hill that overlooks the surrounding terrain with pretty views. The sites are long but require some maneuvering to get level due to the slope of the terrain. The employees are very courteous and helpful and the site has good electric & water pressure. If you stay here don't, I repeat, don't bother to wash your rig or tow vehicle before arriving because both will be filthy before you get to the office to check in. The gravel/dirt drive to the park has some washboard but not too rough, just dusty. It's not the most convenient access from I-90 either, but is close to tourist activities in the area.

My family and I were very impressed with the cleanliness and amenities this park had to offer. The grass and landscaping was all nicely manicured. The lake area has a nice new playground along with several older playgrounds scattered throughout the park. The full hook up sites along Rt 82 (Section N) are tightly packed next to one another and the traffic noise from the road could keep you awake at night if you leave the windows in your camper open. To their credit however, all the sites were level and on gravel. Strangely the picnic tables are bolted to the patio. That can pose a challenge when trying to park your camper next to it and get your awning directly over it. There are planned activities for the kids all day long. The free daily wagon rides and movies (Yogi Bear cartoons) at the outside theater are a nice touch that the kids really enjoyed. The camp store has limited camping equipment and a few overpriced groceries and souvenirs. There's a modest game room and snack bar on site which can keep the kids occupied in bad weather. Most activities are free and they offer golf carts and pedal cars for rent. Criticisms aside, we will definitely make this an annual destination even after the kids are grown & gone.

I was told they are upgrading facilities and grounds but to us it looks worse a lot worse than last year.

This is an OK park located on the side of a hill. Sites are located on rows of terraces. Gravel roads and site pads. I had a pull-through site but it was so uneven that I couldn't leave my toad attached to the motorhome. Gravel bed was so narrow that I had to dig out a cavity in the dirt to allow my steps to extend completely. I had a full hook-up site. The water and cable were on a shared post with the right-hand neighbor while the sewer and power were on the left side of the rig. I had to run water and cable under the motorhome to make attachments. Power was OK but sewer connection required 25 feet of hose. Looked like the rig was on life-support! Neighbors fire ring was 5 feet from my RV. Plenty of noise from near-by I-80. Mostly smaller campers and pop-ups here and campground was at near capacity. As I was leaving, one fifth-wheel owner had left his truck attached to his rig and the truck was sticking out in the street. This forced me to squeeze between his bumper and the next terrace. Inches to spare. I would have thought the management would ask him to disconnect but it did not. Close to State College, I will probably go back unless I find something better.

Plenty of channels on the antenna. Nice, tall trees spaced to provide some shade. No shrubbery to provide privacy but sites are wide. Good water pressure and good voltage. Not much for kids to do here but for us retired war babies, it was perfect. Park was nearly empty when we were there. Close to Frankenmuth. Close to I-75. Eat at Zehnders for great chicken lunch or dinner.

This was our first trip to Myrtle Beach State Park. There are quite a variety of sizes of sites in the campground. Some sites were huge and some were very small. We were fortunate to get our site so close to a holiday. Our site was not huge but not tiny either. The site behind us was huge but their fire ring was almost up against our camper. We had to make sure our camper wasn't in danger. There is only one dump station for this huge campground. There are more sites without sewer than with sewer. There definitely are lots of tents here. We did see several tents on full hookup sites. The workers were always extremely pleasant everywhere we went. The beach was great and very close. The roads are paved and trees are abundant. We didn't see any road that was hard to maneuver in this campground. Some sites would be hard to get into because of trees. We have definitely seen state parks with lots more tighter squeezes on the roads. We will go back but will be much more selective about a site.

Campground staff were friendly and helpful. Wireless internet is available in the main campground office for a nominal fee. The one negative to this campground is the access road ... it is a rough, narrow road that will require you to travel slowly and carefully with your camper for the mile distance from the main highway to the campground gate. Once inside the campground the road are well maintained, smooth, and wide enough to accommodate the largest of campers.

On the other hand their tent sits are wonderfully private and in the woods. Some of the electric boxes are too far away for normal elecric cords. I would not stay again.

Your opinion of this park will depend on the space you are assigned. Many are narrow and are asphalt with gravel (rather large lave rock gravel) or out and out dirt. No trees, shrubs or green. The remainder of the spots are asphalt and have ample room for both large rigs, toads and slides. We camped at space #464. It's an "end" and is adjacent to a nicely landscaped area, with shrubs, small trees and decorative rocks bordering the site. Small store with supplies and limited food. Major shopping within 2.5 miles. Of course, this is Nevada and the adjoining hotel has a large casino ready to let you spend your money with them. Must declare your pet and pay $5.00 per pet per day. Dog run is dirt. If you are charged a pet surplus, that money should be used to enhance pet areas. No cable! That was a surprise! It's not out of order, they just don't have cable. The park's internet is very expensive, about $5.00/hour or $16/day. Bring your own cell phone wi-fi card. Excellent connections for both your cell phone and wi-fi card. We would stay here again.

Another nice Michigan State Park. Nice and wooded, sites range from grass to dirt based on the amount of sunshine. Facilities were about what you would expect.. Fairly clean and usable. Good place to camp although it is a bit more cramped than most other State Parks. Barking Dogs again though. Seems like there were as many dogs as there were people.

We camped here for a quick weekend and found this State Park to right on par with the other State Parks we have been to. Sites range from grassy to pretty much dirt based on the amount of trees. Our site was pretty much dirt but we wanted the full shade. I love the wooded feel of the park and the facilities are kept up to about average. I think my only complaint would be about the number of dogs.. actually, i think my complaint would have to be directed at the owner of the dogs. Seems most dog owners were either oblivious to their barking dogs, or just didn't care. The Beach was really nice even though it was still a bit too chilly to enjoy the water.

As many of the older reviews have stated, the campground is very outdated and unmaintained. The one shower/restroom house we used was pretty rough. of the 8 stalls, 6 are boarded closed, 2 are "operational" as they are sitting on painted wood boxes. There were 2 working showers. The facility was flooded due to the storms the night before. There are many many permanent units that are absolutely hideous. There are very few trees and the sites are pretty tight together. Picture a traditional trailer park and then lower the bar about 5 feet. The grounds are huge as this is a campground with around 1100 sites. We came here on the recommendation of some friends and I can honestly say that we'll stick to the State Parks. It's cheaper, the facilities are far nicer, and the people are much more friendly. golf carts are all over the place and bike are required to have lights after sunset. Look elsewhere, you'll be much happier you did.

Our family of 2 adults and 3 young children camped here for 4 nights. When you get to the park and check in, the campsites are first come first serve, so I recommend getting here early if you would like to get a lake front site. You are able to get a nice lake view from most campsites, but the lake sites are beautiful. Especially convenient if you have a boat, canoe, or kayak. We stayed on site 20 which was a large pull through site, directly across from the playground. Having kids, it was perfect! We were able to ride our bikes to the small swimming area which was nice to get wet and cool off. By the swimming area was another playground, a concession stand, picnic shelters and a putt putt golf course for $2.00 per person. Fishing in Lake Seminole was great too! There are 2 docks to fish from and lots of boats out in the lake with fisherman. The trails were pleasant and easy for our kids to hike. Restrooms were very clean. The cottages at this park looked adorable, all right on the lake as well. We are hoping to go back to this park with my family and they would stay in one of the cottages as we would stay in the campground! Excellent family park!

The campground is on the shores of Moses Lake. It's managed by the City of Moses Lake, which must be putting tax dollars to good use to make the town more attractive to tourists. With that said, it's located close to town (just over a hill), without being right in it. There is a beautiful park within walking distance, and a boat launch with plenty of parking. The hostess was very pleasant and even helped me get backed into one of the smaller sites overlooking the water on a bluff. We were there on a busy weekend, but it was still quiet. The hostess emphasized the fact that it is a family park with strict quiet hours, etc. Very nice overall!

We camped here for just three nights with our three young children. There is a huge, shallow pool that is a short bike ride away from the campground. It does gets very busy on the weekend with people visiting the park for the day. However, it is so large and was well monitored by staff to ensure it was not over crowded. There is also an eat-in snack bar and gift shop which has many camping staples if you forgot anything. Our campground was very large and private. We enjoyed use of the fire pit with our nightly campfires. It was a short walk or bike ride to the canoe launch. I highly recommend bringing a canoe or kayak, or renting one to explore the Hillsborough River. There is so much incredible vegetation and wildlife along the banks of the river. We would definitely visit this campground again.

The main draw of this park is the natural springs which you can swim in, scuba dive, go tubing. Our family had a wonderful time here. Our site was very private with huge trees and a lot of shade. We also had a large tent pad which we put the picnic table on. At the time we went, there was a drought, so no ground fires were allowed. The Blue Springs was a short bike ride or walk away from the campground. There is a snack bar and rental store that sells or rents tubes, inflatable boats, snorkles, kayaks. The Springs were very busy with people who come to the park to spend the day, but the springs is so large and spread out, you did not feel crowded. The ranger told us that during the summer, they close it off to the public around 10:00 am because it gets so busy! While we were there we were lucky enough to see two manatees that were swimming around in the springs. The ranger follows them from the boardwalk to make sure people do not touch them or get within 10 feet of them. What an experience to swim with such docile creatures! Overall this campground was very clean and offered many activities for people of all ages. Our 3 young children loved it here. We would definitely stay here again.

Our family camped here in a 35 foot motorhome for 4 nights in June 2008. It was a last minute trip for us and we called that morning to see if they had availability. The nice woman who answered said come on over! Once we arrived, she escorted us to our campsite. Full hook ups, including sewer. Wide site with picnic table. No ground fires are allowed; also, no dogs allowed. Plus, they only accepted cash or check, but there was an ATM near by. We loved this campground. Beautiful birds, lemurs, ducks on display. Our kids, ages 7, 5, and 3 had a blast. Every morning they looked forward to going over and talking with the birds. The beach was a short bike ride away. Dairy Queen was across the street and many restaurants and stores within biking distance. We cannot wait to come back to this campground. Many people said that the winter months are very busy. The campground was not even half full while we were here.

We stayed just before the July 4th weekend for six nights and loved it. The sites are well spaced and some have waterfront views. Although with being all first come first serve it's hard to get the ones right on the water, but we were able to (got there on a thursday AM). The shower house was clean and maintained. Trash was picked up several times throughout the day/evenings. The loop we were in had access to the lake nearby and a small beach so we were able to swim close by. There are two public beaches nearby also. The Campground is located two miles away from I-57 but it is easy to find. You are on the northern edge of Rend Lake. Lots of activities around lake including bicycling, beach activities, and especially boating. Not a lot of privacy and very noisy with children of all ages running around having fun. As with most New England State parks...a distant cousin as compared to those in the south or western part of USA. Expensive for what you get at $30 (w/e) up to June 30, and $38 July and August. One of only two campgrounds in Maine with water and electric. Recommend it for young families.

This is a lovely Vermont State Park where you can camp next to the lake. Fishing is excellent with hiking trails abundant. Vermont is into "Old Fashioned" camping sites so no hook-ups which was OK with us since we have solar and a generator as part of our 27 foot motorhome. There are several lakes nearby and biking on the backroads. We have extended for a full week. If one can do without hookups, this is a great find. They do have a dump station and a water source for RVs. Roads are a bit narrow so I'd not recommend any rigs over 30 feet long. The staff is very friendly.

A great "Volksweg Trail" - an asphalt pathway that winds for ten miles through mature timbered areas, restored prairies and open areas offering fantastic views around Lake Red Rock

I rated this park a 9 when we stayed here last year. We had a pull-thru full hookup site for $36. They have finally priced themselves out of the market for me at $56 for a back-in full hookup next to the road into/out of the park. Management must not realize the current market...they'd only have to look at the lack of folks using the BBQ either morning or evening ... few used the facility. After reviewing costs at other local parks, I think we will just skip Billings altogether in the future.

This is our sixth year coming here and we love it. The campground has lots to do. You can go in the pool, hot tubs(4), or in the lake. They have a skate board park that my kids like to ride their bikes at. They have five playgrounds thru out the park. They have cabin rentals as well as houses. The snack bar and store are well stocked and they have the best french fries. They even have lobster and some times clams. The reason for not a ten was there was trash in the fire pit from the previous camper that wasn't cleaned out. Will definitely be back next year.

This campground is entirely paved and therefore almost perfectly level throughout. The regular sites are a bit tight, but manageable, even with a car alongside your rig, and they have the same full hookups and free cable TV as the premium sites. The office and store is convenient, and the staff was kind and helpful. Downtown St. Louis is directly across the bridge, and the campground staff will take you to the metro station FREE to get over there. $23 is the Good Sam rate when staying a week, otherwise it's 26 for the regular sites, more for premium locations. Security is tight, and you'll feel completely safe. An excellent value, especially when considering you're less than a mile from downtown St. Louis. Only drawback is a lot of noisy trains going past at all hours. Never bothered us, though. We'd stay again in a heartbeat.

The park is very clean and well maintained. Beach access is restricted to foot traffic only (no vehicles) which makes it very nice for families with children. As with most beach area parks, there are no shade trees. The area is quiet with the exception of the occasional ship coming into port and the drilling platform salvage operations going on during the day. The park staff was very polite and helpful. The park is closed to thru traffic at night for security. I will stay here again.

Easy on/off highway. Very friendly, helpful owner. Priced in the usual KOA fashion (high). Long pull thru, fairly level but very close sites. There is a "lake" here - not sure what its function is, perhaps just beauty but it is very low, mucky and a breeding ground for flying biting critters. There isn't much beauty in it anymore. This campground is very dog friendly with several "pet walk" areas, complete with bags and scoops! There is also a good sized fenced area for dogs complete with "agility" stations. We would return to this campground but only as a last option because of the price.

We spent one afternoon and night here. It's very convenient to I-20. It's nothing fancy, but it's a very nice park with lots of things that make it a pleasant place to spend a day or a week, especially if you have a boat. The campground is situated beside Lake Oconee and has boat ramps, a boat dock, a swimming beach, two playgrounds and a pavilion. The bathrooms and laundry facilities looked clean during our quick check. The sites are gravel and fairly close together, so not much privacy. Most are level. There are fire rings and BBQ grills. Even on a Friday night, campers were obviously having a good time outside around their campfires but all were well-behaved and considerate of other campers. The host was quite friendly and helpful. No camp store here, but I noticed that they do sell firewood. If it were convenient, we would definitely stay here again.

Have to agree, this is a great place for camping. Nice to have clear, dark skies above instead of streetlights, and to be surrounded by pine trees instead of big RVs on either side. It's important to note there are different RV-friendly campgrounds within the park. We stayed in the new addition, at the entrance and closer to town: Lakeview Village. These are FHU sites, with many pull-thrus, and one central bathhouse. Close by is the older cg, with W&E sites, or just E. Those seem to have more shade, but more tents and campfires. In any case, the Village (sign says Group RV) has strong 50 amp, and my VZ aircard and cell worked from here. Fun bike ride into town, Park has activities too. Too bad reservations are $10, but we were able to choose a nice site on a weekday, just showing up, and stayed 3 days. Wish it could have been more.

We really enjoyed our stay here. It is a no frills, simple CG with awesome owners. I appreciated the blacktop drive & gravel sites as it kept the dust down. The utilities were good, and though the sites are tight and close together, we had no problems with our 40 ft rig. Marge is like a personal concierge, giving you all the info you need to tour the area. On our day of departure she showed up at our door early with a pancake breakfast. ( I teased her for days about cooking breakfast for me and never expected it). Her husband Chris also went out of his way to make all the campers comfortable and feel at home. If you're in this area to tour, stop in here to stay as its location puts you right in the middle of all the area attractions. We will surely be back someday.

We were very disappointed in this park. It is owned by a company that owns several other CG's and it appears this one seems to be one they take money out of but put nothing back into it. There appears to be other problems as well, especially among staff. One of the workers walked off the job and left without notice. A broken main water line left the park with dangerous water pressure problems and possible contamination issues for two days. I have had to chlorinate my entire water system on my coach and dump the water tank and super chlorinate it. And because of lack of staff the rear bathrooms / showers in the park were padlocked closed with a sign saying it was being sanitized. This left the entire park with one bathroom and shower to share among 150 or so people. The sites are tight leaving us with no choice but to park our car at the bath house. The trees have filled our air conditioning coils and screens with cotton wood. This has been a miserable stay but we made the best of it and tried to enjoy our tour in the Mountains. Never ever again will we stay here.

Although pets are allowed, this is not a dog friendly RV park. If you want to let your pet get some fresh air, be prepared to sit with it while it's outside. Don't even go inside your rig for a few minutes or one of the questionable looking permanent residents will tell the owner on you. It is not particularly kid friendly either. It is extremely crowded with only the front of your space to park your tow vehicle or toad (there is visitor parking on the far East side of the campground). We had to move our truck twice in the week we stayed to allow our neighbors to leave or pull into their spaces. The interior roads are gravel while the spots are two strips of level concrete. The park is for sale; however, the owner, Bill, is still keeping appearances up. There is one over/under washer dryer ($1.50 ea) in the bathroom. You have to pay Bill first to use it as it is not a commercial model. When he closes the office, he turns off the breaker to the w/d so get your laundry done early! The train tracks are an unobstructed 1,000 feet behind the park. Worst part is the tracks are on a curve and when steel wheels take curves on steel rails...they squeal and screech. We would not stay here again. It is too crowded (sites are 18 feet apart) and with the extra vehicles, it's really hard to maneuver around.

This campground is a Fairfax County park and is located in the Washington DC suburbs, I found this campground clean, convenient and close. I thought the sites were large enough for even the biggest rigs and shady enough for the smallest of tents. I found the cohabitation of Big Rigs and Boy Scouts a delightful change from the RV parks we usually frequent. The 50 amp sites were mostly level the sites don...t have water or sewer and the bathroom was somewhat dated but clean. The water park and carrousel were as good as you...ll find in any campground and a petting zoo was very close. Shopping and site seeing within 10 miles of this campground would be unsurpassed in any campground anywhere. I would recommend this park and will return.

We came here for a weekend stay for the NASCAR race in nearby Loudon, NH. The campground staff was polite and helpful, leading us to our site. The campground has a great feel too it, its very shaded with beautiful pines and maples (although no low limbs) and views of Lake Winnepasaki. We camped in site 87, one of the largest pull thrus. We had a big rig pulling a 38 footer. We got through to the site around the "loop" but it wasn't that easy. That's only to get in because of the side of the site the hookups are on. Its easy to get out, so getting in with anything larger then 40 foot could be somewhat challenging. This campground is more for the woodsy, relaxing feel. I think it would be fine for a few days with kids. However, there is not an overly amount of things to do at the campground. But this is no big deal because not even a mile away is Wiers beach, go karts, arcades, and such. Would come back again.

Most sites are seasonal. There are only a few overnight sites. Good facilities. There are two swimming pools with lifeguard and the swimming pools are well maintained. Many organized activities for children and adults. Quiet hours are strictly enforced. The entrance road has a narrow one-lane bridge barely wide enough for a trailer. Roads are rough, narrow and winding, and tree branches are poorly trimmed in many areas. The access road to the Buffalo section of the campground is very overgrown with trees.

Stayed 4 nights, very tight for big rigs. Close to the public beach. Be prepared to climb stairs, office is on second floor and rec/family room is on third floor. Ground maintenance is poor, lots of travel trailers. Wireless signal not very strong. Close to grocery/gas stores. 11.5 miles to Galveston. We would stay there again if in the area.

We stayed here in April 2007 and gave this place a good review. We returned in late June 2008 ....and what a difference! If you want a FAMILY campground (i.e., one where kids run absolutely wild until Quiet Hours at 11:00 p.m.) then this is the place for you. I have never heard so much human-generated noise in my life as I did at this place. Sleeping before mid-night is out of the question here. I am certain we are in a minority with this review. Families all around us seemed to be having a great time in the activities they pursued, with little regard for anyone else. We will not return here.

This is next to a mobile home park (not an upscale one), and has lots of "residents" who are not typical RV-park crowd. The girlfriend wouldn't have stayed there if we didn't have a self-contained RV. Sites are very tight, and "pull-through" sites weren't, there were posts that kept me from being able to pull in with my relatively short 19 foot trailer, I had to approach from the other side and back in. Well, shoot, I could have saved money and just got a back-in site! In addition, reserved the site on KOA.com only to find that they wanted "tax" when I arrived (a couple of dollars) - no other KOA, including other KOA's in Ohio, has ever done this, any taxes are included in the reservation. Finally, the office area is rather scary - has a "pool hall" feel to it, with the "store" being a shelf or two of food behind the counter (that says something). Other reviews mention the trains nearby, and they aren't lying - every 15 minutes, you can almost set you watch to it. It is clear they are trying very hard to clean up the place, and I have a lot of hope for the campground, but right now I will stay elsewhere. The good thing I can say is that the rate was appropriate for the accommodations, it just wasn't up to normal KOA standards.

Best campground I've ever stayed at. Took the girlfriend, she really appreciated the pizza cooked on-site and delivered to your RV door. Friendly staff, nice looking campground. The only negatives were VERY minor - not quite perfectly level site (but very close) and no Wi-Fi in our RV on our second stay here (so make sure you ask for a site that gets Wi-Fi if you need it). The positives made up for these shortcomings.

We called ahead as well and they held a spot. This campground is very hilly but not too bad to maneuver. THIS IS A CASH ONLY PARK, we were surprised to find they would not take any credit cards. The laundry is one washer and one dryer. The owners are on site and making improvement everyday. It is not far off the Trace and easy to get into and out of. It is about 30 mins to Red Bay Al for the Tiffen people. Do not try to ride your bike (unless you like steep hills), there are paved roads but quite difficult to ride. We would stay here agian.

We stopped here as an overnighter. Again the owners were very friendly and we had the campground all to our selves, this night only about 10 campers. The sites are grassy and level. We ran our satellite and found some shade and some open campsites. The pool appeared clean but we did not stay long enough to get wet. All the sites were pull through and we stayed hooked up for an early morning departure. I think some discounts (Passport America or Good Sam) would help their occupancy rate. We would stay there again for a place to stop overnight. We were very close to the interstate and backed up to small truck stop, there was no road noise.

We thought the park was little more motor home friendly than some of the Florida State Parks. We had a nice large site and found the sand roads and site to be good enough fop a few nights. We had no cell service or internet (Verizon air card did not work). The cave tour was exceptional and we highly recommend this Florida Park. There are several exhibits and many photo ops along the way. The park is very quite and we would stay again.

This is the closest park to Lexington if you are visiting. The sites are very grassy and level. The park was extremely crowded when we were there and kids, swimming, basketball, modpes, and bike riding was in full gear. The overflow area had many campers and the dump stations were quite crowded as we left on a Sunday. The campground was too active for us. We would have preferred a quieter setting. The sites are very large and set up for larger rigs. The roads are paved and very flat. The park is quite close restaurants and other attractions. We would stay there again but would pick a less busy time of year.

Significant improvements (new blacktop) to main entrance road from last year made arrival much better. However, this KOA is still difficult to get to. KOA directions must be followed in detail but long distances between KOA signs cause one to wonder if one is on the right road. Directions do not have distances marked. I cannot imagine finding this KOA in the dark. Wi-Fi, while excellent, is limited; i.e., the KOA/local ISP contract limits the KOA and in turn, the KOA limits campers who get a login password upon checking-in, will be booted-off the connection if too much data is uploaded/downloaded. There is a warning note above the password login, but it lacks specificity as to just how much time/megs can be used. Over all, the campground is clean and owners are clearly upgrading, but sites are not that level and small. This was our third time at this KOA, but are now considering other options w/easier access and longer internet connectivity.

This is a good fairgrounds park. It has friendly and helpful staff, paved roads, grass and tables. The Wi-Fi only worked sometimes. There are no trees so it could be hot in summer. We were in a 50 amp back in site for a week. The big problem is a busy RxR runs next to the fairgrounds so there is noise. If you can take that the place is good for visiting the RV plants and Amish area. Goshen is a nice small town with Wal-Mart, etc. Many rally's are held here so it could be full.
Well I must agree that Rancheros has a campground atmosphere and is not a typical big rig paved parking lot. Most sites are shaded and separated from your neighbors by small trees. There is a nice walking trail and the place is always clean and quiet.
