Unlike the previous reviews, we loved this park. It is a nice family owned/run park. Yes, they are still under construction in many areas, but all that takes is time. The swimming pool is, which was just finished, is really nice & there is also a pond w/paddle boat available that you can swim in. Fishing is catch & release. The owners threw a great 4th of July party! All the people staying there that we met were really great, it was like one big family...a summer storm came out of no where & everyone pitched in to help anyone that needed help with awnings & such. We, along with my daughter & her family will definitely stay again & again, just to watch this park grow!!!!
This is a really nice, quite park. Lots of activities: fishing, free paddle boats, outdoor shuffle board, spa & swimming pool, game room with pool table, pacman game & electronic dart board. The K and L row sites are double wide and really nice. Very close to San Antonio shopping! We will come back for sure, can't wait to visit in the summer months.
Very nice, clean park. Tent camping only along the river. The pull-thru sites have lots of space, very roomy! Instead of being side by side, campsites are lengthwise along the road. This is a very quite campground with lots of trees. We really enjoyed it!
This is a most favorite campground! It is close to home, only a 30 minute drive! The Park personnel are just great! You can reserve specific sites, if available. The wildlife is magnificent, we bring corn to feed the deer that roam freely among the campsites. We love the nature & bike trails. Every trip we have caught fish, from catfish to bass and even a couple of turtles! The Park maintenance is always up to par! There is a boat ramp & even a nice restaurant! This is a highly recommended campground!
This is a really nice campground! We walked the trails along the river. Very nice indoor heated swimming pool! The campground is big rig friendly! Park manager was very friendly and took the time to talk to us about different parks and such. We camp in a 40' motor coach.
This is a nice wooded campground with lots of wildlife. However, it is not big rig friendly. We prefer full hook up campsites. Also, we need 50 amp electric service but 30 amp will do in the cooler months. One plus, fishing is always good!
This is a new park, only opening Summer of 2006. we were very impressed with the spaciousness of the campsites and there were quite a few waterfront sites. The fish were not biting but others have told us the fishing is really good. Our only compliant was not with the park but with the swing bridge to get there. The bridge master did not have the bridge adjusted properly, it was a low tied, and that cost us over $750 in damage to our 40' coach. Needless to say we will not be returning until a new bridge is built, they say in about 2 years! It is a shame with the park being so nice, also beach combing was great! Anyway, motor coaches beware the swing bridge!
