We have stayed at Arrowhead RV Resort a bunch of times over the years. We have camped in our fifth wheel and we have also rented their cabins. This resort is very clean and the hosts are always very nice. The restrooms and showers are always very clean. The RV spots on the river are very nice. However, they are a bit close together. The cabins on the river are also very nice.
We had a great time camping here. We stayed in the lower river campground right on the water. The sites were very large and we had a lot of privacy. We have a 36 foot rig with a tow car and sometimes have problems getting in and out of camping places. We did not have this problem at Rye Patch. It was very easy access for our large rig and it is very close to the freeway. The rangers were great and even delivered wood to our camp site (for a small fee of course). We will return next time we are in the area.
Anaheim RV Village was a nice campground and we stayed 4 days. The staff was friendly. The pool and spa were very clean. The park is within walking distance from Disneyland, which is nice. They do not offer cable which I thought was weird since we were paying $75 per night. The reason this park is rated a 6 is because the camping sites were very narrow and they put RV's right next to us even though half the park was empty. Our row was almost completely empty but they still chose to squeeze in a big motorhome that had slides on both sides. The RV that was parked next to us had their picnic table underneath our slide out because the spaces were so narrow. I would rate this park higher if the spots were wider.
Auburn Gold Country RV Park was nice and we stayed one night only. The facilities were clean and the playground was nice. The person (a man) who answers the phone and I believe runs the park is not very nice and would not go out of his way to help us. We arrived at the park at approximately 5 pm. I quickly gathered my laundry that needed to be done and went to the laundry room. The machines only took quarters, so I went to the office and there was a sign that said closed and that the manager was making his rounds. The sign posted a phone number to call the manager if needed, which I did. I told him that all I had was dollars and asked him if he could please give me change. He told me that he had change in the office but that the office was closed and he could not help me. I just found him to be very unpleasant and unhelpful.
