I think the name for this RV park may have changed to Seascape RV Park, it has the same address and phone number. We had no problems with the people running the park. In fact the lady that posted such a negative review never even stayed here and I noticed the same type review on other sites, but again, she never stayed there, only bad-mouthed the RV park. The park was an older park but it was friendly to dogs and in a perfect spot, right across the road from Cape Kiwanda. Our family was having a reunion and it was the best way to bring our dogs. The bathrooms were rather old and the shower had a sign saying the price was $1.00 for guests and $2.00 for non-guests. We used our own shower. The bunny population was minimal and our dogs (miniature schnauzers) were attracted to them. There was a section to walk your dogs and a scooper provided to clean up after your dog. There was a playground area for kids but not many activities. There was a laundromat in the main building. We enjoyed The Pelican Pub & Brewery right across the road. The fireworks the night before July 4th were unbelievable. In fact when the professional ones started we had a hard time paying attention since we were so distracted by the "amateur" ones. The beach was very clean and we enjoyed exploring the tidal pools.
We haven't stayed in many RV parks but this is just about the best one we've found. I would give it a 10 if it had a hot tub/swimming pool. There's playground equipment for the kids but not a lot of activities. For the dogs they have an enclosed dog run to play with your dogs safely. There's a strip of grass right by your door for your dogs to use. Very friendly and helpful staff. We had damage to our trailer and arrived late after the office was closed. We found our assigned space and the paperwork. It included the code for the WiFi but not the code for the bathroom (our bathroom was non-op). We thought this had to be an over-sight and managed to find the correct code and all was fine. The bathrooms and showers were very nicely decorated, clean and bathmats were even provided. In the morning the staff were very helpful putting us in contact with folks to make repairs on our trailer. Our site was fairly level.
This is an older RV park and is in need of updating. We were in a back-in site which was very cramped to get into. We didn't really enjoy much about the place, but there was a pleasant aroma due to either honeysuckle or jasmine plants growing, I can't recall which it was. I was under the impression we'd have a Wi-Fi connection, and that was one of the reasons I selected this park. It turns out you can use one hour of internet time and then need to pay $6 per day per computer for access. One of the reasons we like Wi-Fi is so we can have access to the TV guide site. We were sorely disappointed. We both found the bathroom access codes annoying since they are completely different numbers. Additionally, my husband frequently couldn't get the cipher lock on the men's restroom to open. The lady at the desk was friendly but had the same problem. They really need to replace it; once it does that there's just no hope and it's quite expensive. There was a grassy area in the over-flow area our dogs used, but I saw no waste so folks must be cleaning up after their dogs. There was also playground equipment in that area. Unfortunately the area seems to have deteriorated. The park itself seemed pretty safe but the surrounding area was kind of iffy. (Our dogs barked and growled in the middle of the night but we weren't sure why.) We couldn't find a restaurant until we crossed over the bay. We were concerned we'd return from dinner and find our trailer burglarized and our dogs missing so it was unnerving to be away from our trailer. Of course we were surprised by a $5 toll bridge to return. We will not be back.
This was a pretty nice RV Park; it was more on the side of a campground instead of resort. We stayed in one of the back-in sites because it had plenty of shade. The pull-through sites don't have much shade. We stayed two nights and unhitched. The site was mostly level and had an awesome view of Mount Shasta; the sunset colors on the snow were great. There were also quite a few wildflowers. One of the bathrooms was being renovated so the one available bathroom was co-ed but the stalls had a door or curtain for privacy. The shower had a door for privacy. The bathroom had recently been nicely tiled with slate. The cable TV and wi-fi worked fine. We didn't see the laundry facilities. The people running the park are very helpful. One thing to note is it's cash or check only.
The lady that checked us in was helpful and provided useful directions back to the highway. Since we only stayed one night we didn't unhitch our truck but we still fit into the pull-through site with no problems. The bathrooms were very clean. I didn't notice signs saying you couldn't have your dog use the grass right by your site but we did take our dogs back to the grassy area in the back section. It appeared all dog owners were cleaning up after their dogs as I saw no dog waste.
