This is a convenient park off the West end of Loop 289. 30-amp cash price is $20. This is a very clean and pleasant park. A Main Building houses the office, laundry room, restrooms/showers, and community room. The laundry room was very clean and cheerful, which included an adjacent nicely decorated sitting room with a TV. The restrooms and showers were decorated as if it were in a home and very clean. We have been in over 60 RV parks in our current 11-month 28-state trip and without a doubt, this is one of the most pleasant parks we have been in, other than resort-type parks. It is close to freeway traffic, but it wasn't loud enough to bother us. We would certainly stay here again.

We stayed here four nights and chose this park because they honored our Passport membership for three nights. Their pull-through sites with full hook-ups face each other. Our patio was exactly 31 inches from patio of the RV facing us. This is great for people who are traveling together, but not great for people who prefer some privacy. There doesn’t seem to be a lot of maintenance with the grounds, but the restrooms were very clean. Even though there is the normal rule of picking up after your pets, our Site 89 was full of dog waste, obviously from our neighbor in Site 91 who had a very long leash that extended way past our site. We had to pick it all up before we could walk around our site. We also saw people walking their dog in the morning that didn’t pick up after their dog, which relieved itself right on the paved road in front of us. This park is fine if you want to use your Passport Discount, but it is not worth their full price of $34.50 and up. We paid $17.25 for the first three nights and $31.05 for a Friday night that reflected a 10% Good Sam Discount.

The positives about this campground are the sites are large, and, David's New Red Barn. It is a new on-site building which has entertainment/dancing on Friday and Saturday nights. Anyone who enjoys country, oldies and gospel music will love this place. The family that owns this campground and entertainment facility are very warm and friendly. The negatives when we stayed here were the gnats and the building that housed the game room, restrooms and laundry. The locals told us the Rocky Hock area has gnats from Spring through Summer because of the melon farming. We couldn't be outside without being covered by them. The restrooms were not clean enough to use, the fluorescent light in the men's room was out, and very dim in the ladies. The game room's pool tables and miscellaneous other furnishings were covered in dust and hundreds of dead bugs. There were three clear plastic trash bags of molding garbage of food and paper plates in one corner that had not been removed during our three night stay. This building appears to be a very old farm building (lumber is peeling off the exterior), that probably should be destroyed and a new facility built for the safety and health of their guests.

Also a Coast to Coast Park. Rate reflects Passport America for six nights. We originally planned to stay three nights, but we enjoyed this area and park so much we stayed six. Sites were comfortably large, nicely paved roads and full concrete slabs. A great park for riding bikes or walking. A lot of very nice, well maintained park models. Some were full time residents. The restrooms were very clean, as well as the laundry room. Huge, beautiful pool and very nice club house. Great location, right next to Barefoot Landing. Would recommend this park.

Rate reflects Passport America. This park is pretty much unattended. You are directed to pick your spot and the owner will catch up with you. This park is in a country setting and the grounds are not maintained. Access to sites is not defined, you just drive over an open area that has very sandy soil with deep ruts. We were told by permanent residents that large rigs have become stuck. During our three days there, no one came to fix this problem. We were the only traveling RV there - all others were permanent. The positive about this park - There are two unisex restrooms, so a person basically has their own bathroom. The restrooms and laundry are newly built and very nice. Also, there are full hookups, including cable TV. This park is good for basically overnighting and not worth paying full price.
