We really enjoyed this campground and stayed right on a lakefront site. This was our first excursion in our travel trailer and it was very nice. All employees were kind and caring. Housekeeping staff kept bathrooms and showers very clean. We will be returning here the end of this month.
Awesome campground with soooo much to do. Very accommodating and friendly staff. Well-kept grounds. Pools are wonderful and clean. Beach access parking is a great perk. We already have reservations for next summer.
I would not recommend this campground to anyone. #1-You have to stop your vehicle with camper in the main roadway in and out of the campground and get out to go register (which can take some time). It causes huge backups and then there is only one narrow lane for anyone going to and from to get through. #2-The campsites are barely big enough to totally accommodate small travel trailers, much less, the larger models with slide-outs. One camper near us could not extend their canopy due to the slide-out of the camper next to them. And your sewer drain is almost under the canopy and/or picnic table of the site behind you! #3-You aren't allowed to use tabletop grills on the tables! #4-The bathrooms are sorely outdated and nasty. There aren't any outlets for hair dryers, etc. #5-The showers are awful. The showerheads don't work. There is not an attached private dressing area, so you have to leave all of your belongings on a bench outside of your stall where anyone in the shower area has access to it. The 'cut' curtain is transparent and barely reaches to conceal from side to side. You have to dry, get lotioned, and dressed in front of whomever else is in there. And there is black mold and grunge around the bottoms of the shower stalls. #6-Some of the employees were not very nice. #7-All other campgrounds that I have ever been to have trash pick-up at your site daily, but that was not done here. They also did not provide trashbags. #8-The pool was not clean at all and the 'baby' pool was one of the 4' molded plastic ones (like you get at Dollar General), with no filtration system, just sitting in the corner of the concrete pool area. #9-Visitors were charged $4 per person even if they only stayed less than an hour. My son and his wife came by just to see our camper and had to pay $8. #10-Would NEVER return to this campground!
