The campsites are spread out and nice. There is plenty of wild life to see. The canyon is a must see. Take the time to drive the rim trail and walk around. The drive down the canyon to the dam was great and gives a much different view from within the canyon. It may not be a road for those not comfortable driving on narrow and twisty roads. Drop offs are big. Unfortunately we arrived while it was raining and fog hid the canyon until the afternoon the next day.
Great campground. This was our second trip to Zion. Sites are great, some backed to the Virgin river, all with great views. It does look like restrooms with showers are being built, which will make this park a "10". Get there early in the summer, we came in August 2005 and fire pits were closed. The only draw back this year was the closure of the Narrows due to water volume as the hike is a must do for all. If you have time check out town just outside the park.
