Maybe it was listening to the wolves howling at night. Maybe it was the gentle lap of the lake against the shore. This park romanced me. It's a little off the beaten path, but I liked it. The lake was wonderful for swimming. The locals came there during the weekend to socialize and were very friendly to us. I'd go back a thousand times!
Wow, it's Disney! Price includes theme park tickets and transportation. These folks know how to run an RV Park. Sites can be a little small, but you have everything you need. This park has nightly Disney style entertainment - free. If you can get here, do it. You won't be disappointed.
I stayed at this park several times. It's central to everything in Chincoteague. We bring bicycles and use them. It's close enough to bike to everything including the beach. This is a very clean and friendly park. I don't usually stay anywhere more than once - this park is worth it!
The good; Good size beach, nice fishing/crabbing pier, a small and friendly campground. They have a scenic location, a nice store with decent supplies and nice staff. This park is clean and in a very good location. The so-so; Our site was a pull thru, but it was a bit awkward - very long and narrow. No cable, but if you have to, you can receive a couple of stations via antenna as long as you have a digital converter box. The bad; Wi-Fi was painfully slow. We gave up. All in all this place is a keeper. We've been camping in this area of Virginia for several years. We will happily return to Tall Pines. They are close to everything and have everything you need.
