This campground is very shaded and off the main street. The only reason I gave it an 8 was because the pads are gravel and it was very noisy due to a motorcycle rally in the area. We will return just at a different time of year.
This was our fourth visit to this park since 2009. I reviewed this park previously and gave it a 10. However, this visit soured our feelings about this park. Everything posted by other members are true. Shower house is the cleanest I've seen, not much shade, flat level pads, close to town, etc. We really do love it here! This trip my sons bike was stolen by some local youths raiding bikes in various campgrounds. Several bikes were stolen at the KOA (across town) and dropped in this campground when they decided that they like my sons better. The office was closed and we informed the local police and the main desk at the Main Stay across the street. When the campground office opened we informed them as well. They were unaware of the incident and said that they had not been informed by the Main Stay that it had been reported and nothing was addressed. We have stayed in this campground with some friends since this happened. They obviously did not "remember" the incident, and told us that they had never "had any trouble with anything going missing", and "nothing had ever been stolen". The owner of this campground also owns the Main Stay across the street. I would like to urge him to encourage better communication between the two sites. The office staff is the finest you could ever hope for, but they are lacking in the truthfulness department. If you stay here, LOCK UP YOUR BELONGING! We will stay here again, but we will not be as trusting of others as we once were. Pack your locks and be prepared to use them.
