Nice place. Lots of shade. Very clean and neat. Our site was perfectly level. WiFi was a little slow, typical interstate road noise could be heard. Staff was very friendly. They play classic movies on the porch every night and have an RV art gallery in the office. The staff made an effort to go above and beyond most "interstate campgrounds". We only stayed one night but we'd definitely stay there again.
We just stayed one night. It was the only RV park that wasn't full from Odessa to Colorado City the night we came through. We came in after dark and left as soon as they opened the gate so we don't know too much more than the basics about the place. They lock the gate to the park at 10:00 pm and open it at 8:00 am. (We arrived at 9:45 after 12 hrs on the road. Just made it, whew!) Sites were level but no shade. They had picnic tables at each site with coverings on them which was nice. The park is quiet and secluded but not far at all from I-20. The only negative is that there were no shower curtains in the men's bath house. (why? not sure.) Don't know about the women's. There is a dump station but no sewer hookups. The cost was $15 for 1 night at 30 amp back-in site and $4 admission per person.
We loved it here! There is so much to do: shuffleboard, horseshoes, basketball, putt putt golf, tennis, indoor pool, outdoor pool, hot tub, playground. The view of the Sangre De Cristo Mountains is stunning. The creek running through camp is lovely. When you first see the sites you think there's no way we'll get level but they have concrete strips poured for your tires to sit on and we were perfectly level. There's wildlife all around camp. We saw several types of squirrels, chipmunks, humming birds (bring your feeder!) and mule deer. The staff and new owner are constantly making improvements around camp. The old owner had really let the place run down but they've already made so many improvements that it's a really nice place to relax and enjoy being outdoors.
Very friendly staff. They gave us free cookies at check-in. They had a hayride for guests that was really cute. Good wi-fi (a little slow at times), not too many cable channels. Clean campground, level sites. Great overnight spot.
We really liked it here. Our site was perfectly level and all sites are shady. The river running through the park is beautiful. There's a playground, large fenced in dog walk area and basketball court (no pool, that's a bummer). We felt secluded even though the park is very convenient to any store and restaurant you could want. We ended up staying longer than planned because we liked the place so much.
Pull-through sites, pretty level, no shade. Bathrooms weren't the cleanest I've seen. Wi-fi didn't work and the staff didn't seem to care that it didn't work. I only saw kids working in the office - none of them could have been over 18. They weren't very professional. The pool looked clean. Watch your step - dog owners didn't clean up after their pets very well!
Shady, somewhat level sites. Sites are very close together so putting out an awning wasn't possible. Clean bathrooms, friendly staff. No pool or any entertainment aside from cable TV and wi-fi. We'll stay over on Hwy 16 somewhere when we come back this way. We stayed here thinking it'd be less crowded and it was.
Very quiet and shady, convenient to the interstate. Clean. Level, pull-through sites. The staff/owners are extremely friendly and helpful. Restaurants within walking distance. Great WiFi. I'd give them a 10 if there was cable.
Very nice place. Extremely clean and manicured. Level, concrete sites with concrete patios. It is pricey though. The pool is heated in the Spring which is nice. They just got wireless internet and I had to keep logging back in to stay connected but the signal was pretty strong. It's a short walk to the beach from the park. Our only problem with the place was that they messed up our reservation. We requested a back-in space because it's cheaper. Their office hours are very inconvenient. We arrived at 5:30 pm and they close at 5:00. They put us in a pull-through site and since the office was closed we stayed in that site for the night and checked in the next morning which was Sunday. The office didn't open until noon. They made us move to another site even though there were only 3 other campers beside us in the whole park and it was their mistake. Also, they don't give refunds for any reason and to book a reservation you have to pay up front in full. That along with their high price was probably a big reason why all the other RV parks in PCB were pretty full except for them. Beautiful park but bad customer relations.
The campground is nice. Clean bath house. Walking distance to gift shops, entertainment and restaurants. The shops at the campground were nice. (Good ice cream & fudge!) We ate at the Wild Mint Eatery at the campground. The food was good but there wasn't much selection and the staff was disorganized & confused. The lady in the info office was very helpful in giving us info about area attractions.
