First the pros: Great service, aesthetically pleasing park with great view of the mountains, I-40 location and reasonable price. Cons: highway noise. Our site was pea gravel with an adjacent cement patio and picnic table. There were trees and bushes on the site and, although it was a tad close, I enjoyed the feel with the greenery. There is a playground, fenced-in dog play area and separate sites (without the trees and greenery) for the "big" rigs. I suspect next time we'll go to that spot; very nicely developed! Despite the noise, I liked this park a lot and we'll be back.
Great access to major interstates, clean facilities and great neighbors. Indifferent owner has some (not all) people working there who are unable to provide any help or guidance whatsoever. Owner is NOT customer friendly; my outdoor water hose has been cracked for over a month and he couldn't be more disinterested. NO communication whatsoever in this regard; I had to pump water into my freshwater tank daily to use and, while this wouldn't have to be a problem, the freshwater tank froze due to extended periods of cold. That said, I had NO running water. We then elected to hook up to the water faucet behind our rig; it took about 60' of hose, though, and we had to heavily insulate it so it, too, wouldn't freeze. The part got ordered and has been in the owner's office for about two weeks. In all likelihood we won't be back.
Since there are VERY FEW choices in Tulsa, this wins by default. First the good: the people are very nice and helpful. The laundry/common area was nicely lighted and clean appearing. Now the not-so-good: 1) location is near the airport and the noise from both commercial and military jets is intrusive; 2) most residents live in what appear to be permanent sites and are somewhat unattractive; 3) Our site was VERY unlevel. it took more leveling than any site in any park in which we've parked thus far; 4) Wi-Fi was brutally slow. The site isn't particularly clean and is primarily gravel and grass. We are staying here while I work in the area but are actively looking for another option. In all likelihood we will not return.
We loved this park! The sites were level and large which is a big deal because we're quite new to RVing. The surface was a real fine red pebble which is dragged (like a baseball diamond) after someone leaves. It also had a wonderful, fenced dog walk/run which our Golden Retriever enjoyed. Las Cruces was a destination; this was the second time we'd been here and really like the area. Don't recall that there was a lot of noise in spite of being very close to the freeway. The office/store was beautiful and immaculate! We will be back to the area and will stay here.
Nice layout, friendly people. There were lots of sites with trees, but there weren't any on the site we were given; I suspect that's because we were in a pull-through and several of the treed spots were back-ins. Not a destination park and it isn't particularly convenient given it's on the south side of town and about as far away from I-40 as it could get while being considered in Big Spring. This was a quick, one night deal and we'll be back if the occasion arises.
Outstanding! We are waterfront, with a deck, fire-ring and lots of trees. The owners are very helpful and friendly, as are the neighbors. The motorhome sites are nose in and the others are back-in; I'm a beginner but received help from a longtime camper. The only downside we've experienced thus far is the occasionally slow internet. The park is fairly isolated but has good access to a grocery, hardware, gas station and a handful of restaurants. We're here for three weeks and will be back when the occasion permits.
I loved it. Trees everywhere, plus lots of shade. Our pull-through site had huge trees and a picnic table. It wasn't perfectly level but was close enough so that we (beginners) were able to get level fairly quickly. The person who checked us in was very helpful and friendly and put us in a site that was very easy to get in and out of. We'll stay here again if we're in the area.
