We stayed here for three nights in early May. We found this to be a wonderful campground run by very nice and friendly people. We stopped by in January and spoke to the owner who gave us a tour of the place a helped us pick out a sight that would be best for us. Our site was next to the creek, a few dollars more but well worth it. Very close to the battlefield and visitor's center. Sites were level and shaded. Nice store with a well rounded inventory. Sorry, can't think of any thing we didn't like. We will be having a family get-together next May.
We stayed here 2 years ago in May and really liked this campground. This time we were here in June and found it to be over crowded. Our site was very tight. The staff couldn't handle th check -in crowd on Friday. There was one poor guy left in the office while other staff members rode around on golf carts. We will be back to visit the battlefield and family again but it will be in the spring before they are over crowded.
This is a clean campground built on the side of a mountain. You don't want to walk around the park much due to steep hills. Geared toward children. Our site was right in front B-1, not where you want to be, very noisy and busy. Sites are somewhat level but tight. They are shaded. Staff member was rude at check in when she couldn't believe I handed her a credit card at check in. They don't take credit cards which is not mentioned on their web site or printed material. If I have a reason to camp in the area again I would conciser here again if I couldn't find something else. I don't like to be treated like I'm stupid.
We were here June 1 and 2. The CG is still relatively empty. We stayed in the 30a pull thru sites with no sewer. For $4 a night more we could have had 50a and sewer. The 50a sites are much nicer and were near full. 30a near empty. CG is very family friendly, no liquor, nice pool, 10pm quiet hour. I think it will be a little more hectic once in full summer crowds. We will stay here again in the 50a sites to compare.
We stayed here for three nights. We had a pull thru spot which is the only way I think I would fit. They do have a few back-ins that will handle a big rig but not many. The CG was very clean and the staff were very helpful. The site we had, #20, did not have sewer. They do have a single hole dump which I would guess is very busy in season. Our site was nice but very narrow. Our slide was on out site line on the left and our awning went to our line on the right. It was not crowded this early in the season but when it is...it will be wall to wall. I think the price, 43 and 38 was a little high for what you got.
This is one of the nicest campgrounds I have been to. We have been here several times as we have our annual family reunion here. We stay in the meadows because the sites are large and gives us plenty of room for our gathering. Granted there is no full hook up, just electricity but there is a great dump site. For $22.00 it is quite a bargain.
We stayed in site #14 which is very close to the office. We did hear road noise from the highway but did not find it overwhelming as other did. We did have two families parked on opposite sides of us who found our campsite very convenient to cut through. Didn't care for the lay out of the CG. Not a blade of grass in the area we were in. Sardines come to mind. Looked around in the new section and found it to be very crowded. Bought $15 of wood which would not burn. When I complained they gave me more wood that would not burn. Next time we'll try another CG.
We stayed in one of the "Prime" sites up on the hill. The view was wonderful. The sire was one of the largest we have ever been on. The weather did not cooperate but we still had a very nice time. We visited the camp store and found it to be well stocked, a little bit of everything. We spent a nice afternoon sitting in the gazebo watching the kids fish and the ducks lounge. We also met some very nice people. Can't wait to go back.
The park is a very nice place to stay. We stayed in our 33 ft MH. The site was very level and easy to back in. The majority of site are on top of the mountain. We did not have a toad and made on trip to the lower area were activities take place. Easy oing down but a killer going up. therefor we were stranded up on the mountain. We did vist the store which was small and crowded and pricy. All in all I like the park and will return. There seemed to be a lot of trah in the tree areas off the road. I assume they hadn't done their spring clean up yet.
This park is lovely. we stayed two night in our 33 ft MH. The site was fairly level and very clean with small stone gravel rather than large stones we have seen at other parks. A short walk takes you to the fishing lake and area of activity. The camp store was well stocked and not overly priced. And the Hershey ice cream is the best. I found the bathroom and shower to be very clean but my wife did not find the same. Trash on the floor and generally messy. We will be back.
