Nice campground with a great location and view of Five Islands and the Bay of Fundy. Campground is in great care and it appears the owners take pride in their site. Gated access, roads are big rig friendly and wide. Very impressed with the 3 way hookups that very well built and new. Sites are very level which is nice. Gravel sites for parking with a small patch of green grass on the side. Large play area and field, access to the rocky beach, owners have just added new drive-through sites and there are many sites for all types of RV, tent-trailers or tenting. Overall good experience and my only dislike is that just like most other privately run campgrounds, the sites are too small in comparison to Provincial and National Parks. We would come back if in the area again.
Privately owned campground in a very scenic area on gulf shore road near town of Pugwash just off scenic sunrise trail. What I liked was the amazing view of the ocean and very peaceful quiet smaller campground. I liked the area and the campground has great potential, but here comes the dislikes. Campground claims on website to be a family run campground (owners and family live in the US), campground needs some updating and just some simple repairs and such. The campground is almost all seasonal campers, the non-seasonal sites are not very level, bring lots of blocking, electrical is OK, but heard some sites are having problems, playground should be replaced as old and dangerous. Septic seems to be almost overwhelmed from the seasonals. The grass is very nice and green everywhere and well kept. Sites could be bigger, but pretty standard in comparison to most campgrounds I find. There are tent sites in the trees behind the RV sites. No trees near the RV sites and it can get windy because it is on the ocean. Hopefully owners decide to take better care soon as it has potential.
This provincial park campground is a little windy being right on the ocean, but is a very, very nice spot and very quiet. I enjoyed best, the 1 way (30amp electric only) sites available that are very large and spacious, where you have lots of room to breath and never to close to your neighbour. Water stations are situated in areas throughout the campground and usually 100-200 feet of hose can fill up your tank (hose available at office if needed). Very nicely mowed green grass everywhere, beautiful ocean view, not many trees on site, but the views of the ocean and the long sandy beach that is just a short stroll away is breathtaking. There are nearly 20 new 3 way sites available as well, but are crowded together and lack the view from their sites compared to the 1 way electrical sites. Nice paved roads throughout the campground, great for biking. Nice playground and overall a great place for families. We plan to come back again. I highly recommend this provincial park.
This campground is a hidden gem off the beaten trail. One of the best campgrounds we have seen for spacious, beautiful wooded (shaded)and open sites in Atlantic Canada. These camp sites are not stacked all in a row like most others I have visited. Beautiful river beach, great for boating, kayaking or swimming. Many beautiful hardwood trees throughout the site to allow lots of shade and some sun during the day. Average size pool, some swings but not much for a playground. About half of the sites are seasonal campers who take pride in their campground. Very pet friendly. If you like lots of space to run around and play and not feel like your in a refugee camp, this is it! Power is only 15amp and needs updating but still OK, water is excellent and no sewer hookup, but free dumping at dump station. Owners are very nice and relaxed and don't have over the top rules. I planning to make many more trips back here.
